In Austin & Westlake, this team is playing chess while it seems every other brokerage in town is playing checkers. There's no doubt in my mind that I would not have the real estate assets I own today, including my primary residence, had I worked with any other realtor. Crystal operates within the luxury real estate market with 0 ego while knowing exactly how to navigate the abundance of ego types within it. Transactional volume matters very little to Crystal compared to the value she puts on earning and keeping her clients' trust and getting them what they need. I know only of Crystal's and her brokerage's accolades only by independent research. Taking care of her clients is the only thing that matters to her.

They hired to do headshots for their ataff and everyone of their team membets was on time and courteous-qualities that also stood out to me. i wasnt surprised to find out later that their brokerage is one of rhe highest performing offices in the city and that Crystal was 3rd highest in sales. I havent bought or sold a home with them so they had nothing to gain by taking the time to educate me and my daughter on the Austin market and to give us insight on a future listing. I was impressed by their level of integrity, wisdom and honesty. It's rare to find these days.

There was nothing that Chuck didn't inform us about. He also did and excellent job of counselling us on everything possible. Since we are in Ohio, we really needed an excellent person to clear the way for the sale. Chuck made everything easy and totally understandable. He was so easy to talk to and seemed to be available 24/7. What is very important to me is that Chuck took the high ethical road at every turn. Having trust in the person leading a sale of something as valuable as your home is critical and Chuck earned ours. Without any reservation whatsoever, I would recommend chuck to anyone who is buying a home in the Austin and surrounding area. Bruce H, Ohio

When we were in town to interview, we met with Chuck and long before we knew if we were actually moving he gave us a perfect overview what we will have to expect with the Austin housing market. We analyzed our budget, identifies needs and other factors and decided to stay in touch. Months before we moved Chuck set up a search that showed us potential houses, so we could develop a feel for what's out there. Until then I was asking myself, how do you know if your realtor is good or bad? They all have access to some database, punch in a few sort queries and draw a map... Well, the way you know is defined by "time". I was on a tight schedule to find a place to live. A day after I flew in, Chuck spent an entire weekend with me on the road to look at places. If I found something on Zillow late at night, I could send him a text and he responded in minutes and made something happen. He is dedicated to serve his clients and works ridiculous hours for them. If you need him on a weekend - he will be there. If you need to see a place a second time to finalize a decision - he won't hesitate. The time that he has for you is your measure for quality. That's how I realized I had chosen a superb realtor. Thx Chuck. Dr. Axel Jochmann

SHORT STORY: go to Joel & Co if you want to pay $25,000 to someone who will simply provide…read more"aesthetic guidance". In return, he will hand you a set of materials (literally on a plate) that his team spent at least half an hour conceptualizing and browsing the CB2 catalog. Oh, forget about your taste or aesthetics. As a paying client, your input doesn't matter b/c he will tell you what looks good. All professionals from engineers to architects will bill you according to work complete, Joel wants 50% advance. His hourly rates at $200/hr are criminally bogus. The assistant designer is $100/hr but don't ask him b/c he will simply say it that service alone doesn't exist. LONG STORY: we hired Joel for two businesses (worth $50k) but soon realized he was a gloried decorator who had no intention to collaborate with his own clients. Being a visual field, you would think a decorator worth a hundred bucks will at least show you different concepts, color combinations and themes prior to doing any work. That's not how it works here. Without any pre-consultation, he will invite you to his office for a "presentation" on the one set of color scheme and furnishings chosen for you. Plus they will actually show you a picture on a damn phone to give you an impression of how something may look. Just this was priced at half of the $25k. Do you prefer something a little different or have other concerns? Too bad, he won't have any of it b/c the decision is made and he will try to steer you away. Evidently, his team has the taste and experience of browsing Pinterest and opening catalogs to offer you the same chairs and fixture found in other restaurants within a 5 mile radius of downtown Austin. List of think you do not get for $25k: No shop drawing No construction documents Not licensed or certified in anything List of you'll get: Zero input Zero options Zero budget considerations Zero personalized service Vague visual concept for a business costing millions to build In the end, he offered a weak apology about how he was too busy designing for someone else. Guess paying $50k places you at the back of the line. I sincerely believe he tried to take advantage of our lack of understanding and experience. If I didn't fight him and almost threaten legal action, he would have walked away with $50k doing the bare minimum to satisfy any impression of work.
