They knew what they were doing, albeit expensive, but I had 2 issues. One guy said he couldn't keep the ceramic ceiling fixture that was in my ceiling with the repair. He replaced it with plastic. (A bathroom guy did the same taking the ceramic toilet knobs saying he lost them (?)) As the electrician walked from the house, he held the fixture up admiring it. Of course, he didn't ask if I wanted it & neither did I request it to my chagrin. The other guy broke my bathroom vanity glass because he stepped on it having laid it on the floor. I drove to a number of places & made calls to get it replaced. I could not find the old style cover. They didn't attempt to find a way to replace it. A long time later - a year? - I decided to ask them to install other items & do that for free with an entirely new fixture. They did. It's disconcerting to have these things happen where, what seems like bad ethics, it leaves a bad taste. I need work again, but I won't be calling on them. The latest 'unethical' was the guy who didn't return my cell phone charger while days of outdoor work. I did ask about it, but he said he didn't know where it was. The lack of ethics keeps one from getting work done in a timely manner. I'll wait until my son comes to the east coast. read more

I needed my home's knob and tube wiring replaced during a difficult time. I could not have asked for more personable and professional people to work in my house. The pricing was definitely fair for the work required for an old house. They kept me informed, respected my possessions and space, and helped me feel totally at ease. The job was done quickly and thoroughly. They cleaned after themselves leaving spaces I didn't even know were there (and, as a result, dirty) looking spotless. Arrived on time, with masks and gloves. Got right to work installing a new ceiling fan, checking a GFI issue in the bathroom, and taking care of a circuit issue in the basement. The house is a renovation so I only accept excellent work. Not only did Marsh and his partner act professional and perform expert work, they finished quickly and the cost was lower than a prior electrician I thought was giving me a deal. I would rate them higher except the bad experience we had with them after being loyal customers for more than 10 years, they decided they would no longer provide services for us because we missed an appointment. We received two estimates from other electricians before giving More Power a call. One estimate was high but we were going to go with him. He never showed up. Estimate number 2 was ridiculously high. On to More Power, who started with the least expensive solution and gave us the option to do more if needed, but they really insisted on going with the least expensive solution. Our problem was solved! We've been homeowners for about 25 years so we've been through plumbers, electricians, handymen ... it's rare to see such honesty. Family Members have used More Power Electric so I decided to have them install a new panel box and electric for a Hot Tub at our residence. Tom and Cody could not have been more knowledgeable and professional. They came out once to install the new box (through a crawl space, not easy), another time to run the electric through beams of a new deck and finally to install a Shut off box and GFCI box. Also hooked up the Hot Tub. All work done at price quoted which was a pleasant surprise for the amount of work and time put in. Will use them again when needed! read more
