    B & B Heating & Air Conditioning

We have used B & B for almost 20 years. They are quick, professional and go out of their way to…read morehelp. Our last service call had our unit down and they were here in about 4 hours. Luckily they had the part in their truck and we were back up and running in about 20 minutes. I highly recommend calling them... you will not be disappointed.

This company installed my heating and air-conditioning system in the home. I bought four years ago…read morebecause the builder Chiusano Homes contracted them. I thought it would be sensible to use them after the one year warranty to service my system. That was the biggest mistake I made. They are a terrible company to do business with. From the first inspection after we moved in when they did not check the filter in the indoor system when my air conditioner turned on - the system froze up because the filter was totally clogged. Tony, who the technician was didn't check it. They had to come out and repair the blower because it rusted from all of the frozen lines melting on the motor. It was covered on the Warranty as I was told not to worry. Mistake number one. I signed on for them to continue to do the twice a year check Spring and Winter first year was fine because nothing was done this past year was a disaster. Tony came out around Memorial Day and the system was working perfectly We even had a couple of very, very hot days prior to Memorial Day this year and the system was working the way it should. Tony said he checked the refrigerant level and everything was working fine. Three weeks later the system was completely out of refrigerant frozen shut down with a nice puddle of water in my basement. Tony came out after calling the main office and they "fit me in" and I was told there's a possible leak in the system but he could not find any leaks. although no leaks were found Tony said I may need to have a high-pressure test done after he'd added more refrigerant and said a high-pressure nitrogen test might cost around $600-$1000.. In four days the system stopped working. The outside compressor was turning on and off every five seconds. Tony came out again to check the system and determined that the filter in the outside system was clogged. And said he would have to see if he can get the filter covered under warranty from York (mind you that part is $30 ) but the repair would be significant as far as labor. Now clearly what we're seeing here is refrigerant leaking out meaning there's a problem with the check that was done possibly and they charged me $255 to come back and put refrigerant back in. It turns out that after getting a professional company with knowledgeable people it was determined that the refrigerant leaked more than likely because it when the check was done, the valves weren't closed correctly. Then when they installed new refrigerant at a $255 charge it was determined that more than likely it was installed incorrectly and contaminated the system. They made these mistakes again and again, and kept trying to charge me more and more money. Stear clear of this company the professionals I had out fixed the system very well they even did a nitrogen high-pressure test and found no leaks in the system. There's a red flag. it is colder now than it ever was which I question if the refrigerant was ever done right and don't get stuck with using the company B & B Heating and air-conditioning out of Berlin, New Jersey just because your builder uses them for the install.. You're not obligated to use them especially when they're one year warranty is up get a company that's credible. In addition, they claim on their website they're Better Business Bureau accredited the better business Bureau has warned them according to the bureau to take that off because they are not an accredited Better Business Bureau company. That seems a little bit under the table, doesn't it. I've had multiple homes multiple new homes. Never had anything like this happen and never had a company so incompetent with such a greedy attitude and they chose not to send me any of my money back, which they should have. It ended up costing me over $1000 for the right repair but well worth it to see them never come back to my home and screw up my system again.
