I've encountered So many experienced coaches and trainers, that are well educated in nutrition , weight loss and fitness also great motivators. I started off with a 6 week challenge and during that time I lost 16 pounds, I was amazed!. Out of all the Fitness centers, fad diets, personal trainers and Nutritionist; I have never gotten long lasting, life changing results until I encountered The Worx. After the 6 wk challenge I decided to join and I did that for me because I deserve it plus it was working. During my journey at The Worx I gained a healthy mindset, great discipline and my self esteem leveled up. I lost a total of 50lbs from the start of January 11th til August of 2019 . I was ecstatic !! not only did I look better but I felt so much better too. my energy level went up my self esteem went up and I will look great. By all means this gym, No, this community is by far the best choice I have made for my life change. I will recommend anyone who is searching for MORE to give The Worx a try and give yourself a chance. YOU DESERVE IT!

All throughout high school I was always active (wrestling, track team, gymnastics etc.,) which was…read morea definite plus when I joined the military. Years later with injuries and several major surgeries under my belt I gained weight (a lot of it). The various programs, personal trainers, diets, medication did little to build back muscle tissue, lose weight and reduce body fat. Fit Body Boot Camp Works!!! My journey with Fit Body began by chance when I noticed a very fit extremely well-toned lady getting out of what I now call the Fit-Body Mobil (which I saw regularly after that). I had passed the fit camp (not gym) several times, then finally stopped in. The lady that I saw earlier that week identified herself as Coach Jodi, gave me the basic rundown, asked about my limitations, and invited me to participate in a 6 week trial session. Covid stopped the sessions before they began. Fit Body Boot Camp Works!!! Fast forward two years and I was able to finally take Coach Jodi up on her invitation. Admittedly after the first week I was thinking this was not for me, which was more my mentality than the program. I decided to give it one more week and in that time something happened. Coach Jodi(and Coach Sydney) noted that I had trouble with certain movements and gave me alternate exercises that I found myself doing at home or in my office. They both give me (and the rest of the fit body team) the firm support (not in your face) guidance needed for a positive work out experience. Fit Body Boot Camp Works!!! With the Fit Body Boot Camp program the weight scale and body fat measurements are finally going in the preferred direction (down) and I just feel better about the outlook for my health. The bonus of the program is not just the great coaches but the entire like-minded motivated extended family members that make up the entire Fit Body Community.

It's adaptive and anyone can complete the workouts based on their own ability (and chronic injuries can easily be accommodated too). My one wish: the music wasn't so loud. It's sometimes hard to hear the coach over the music. I get a little sensory overload sometimes, which is uncomfortable.

It's not easy to motivate me to workout, but his style of training is perfect. I've always taken classes through class pass, but will probably start just signing up through his website because I like the classes so much. He pushes you to do your best, but not to the point of injury like some other trainers. He's tough, but also caring and realistic. Seriously though, I can't say enough nice things about BT Fitness. I've tried a few classes, he has a body pump style one and a circuit training one that I like. As for COVID protocol, he encourages mask wearing, keeps class size limited, and has a sanitation machine that he sprays equipment with after each use. I felt very safe here my first time back post COVID.

Overall, I enjoyed the class. It was mostly women for the Saturday boot camp, which I found on Class Pass. The instructor is a man and he's no-nonsense. Haha. Everyone participating in class was nice. It wasn't a "warm" environment but it seems like there's a community there. Overall, a good workout. I definitely would've liked more explanation about where things were, additional modifications for my bar, etc. But I got the job done!

The exercise equipment and pro shop gear/supplements are all top of the line - you can tell that a lot of time is invested into making sure that S&S is outfitted with the high quality fitness products you need to reach your goals. Group classes are intentionally small so coaches consistently provide the feedback necessary to promote progress and prevent injury. In conjunction with the workouts, Nutrition and Mobility coaching create the perfect antidote for the desk life that plagues many of us in the DMV area. Sand & Steel meets everyone where they are, making it easy to just show up and do the work. Paul and Dawn maintain a strong culture of safety, standards, and support so, no matter what class or session you're in, you will get top tier instruction, modifications, and motivation from day one.

There are so many activities and things to do besides the actual workout which provides for a strong sense of community. All the above make it a great box, what makes the place exceptional is the fact that they go out of their way to help and support you. Paul worked with me to create the best plan that fits my time, finances, and goals. My coach, Ben, who is super nice and knowledgable, went above and beyond to teach me the right form and technique. When I told him I was little nervous about taking the first class, he offered to workout next to me to make sure I was doing well. That is a level of care you only see in people who are passionate about what they do and take pride in their work. Cons: None. Really, none!

When Liz moved studios, so did I. She encouraged me to come to the gym and helped me overcome my gym-intimidation. Since I hadn't stepped foot in a workout class in years, I was nervous to be the out of place noob slowing down a group of regulars. After speaking with the front desk and one of the trainers, they told me to come back in an hour for a trial session where all three kids could experience the program. I asked all the necessary questions--pricing, waivers, schedules, yet at no point did they mention a fee for the tryout class. When I returned for the session they had booked for us, I was suddenly told that I needed to pay $50 per child. This was never communicated to me when I first inquired. I was shocked by the lack of transparency and professionalism. I was genuinely interested in their programs and willing to purchase a package, but this experience completely changed my mind. We live just five minutes away, and this could have been a great opportunity for my children. Unfortunately, due to the disorganization and miscommunication from the staff, they lost a potential long-term customer. Businesses should prioritize honesty and clarity--especially when dealing with families looking for quality programs for their children. Would not recommend based on my experience.
