This was my second visit to JJ's, and unfortunately I would not recommend it…read more The first time I booked a deep tissue massage and requested medium pressure. It ended up being far too intense for me, but I assumed I had simply chosen the wrong type of massage and decided to give the business another chance. For my second visit, I specifically booked a Swedish massage and requested light pressure, knowing the pressure had been too much the first time. Despite that, the massage therapist repeatedly used deep pressure, and I was visibly uncomfortable. Throughout the session, she asked if the pressure was okay, and more than a dozen times I asked her to lighten it. I repeatedly explained that it was painful and that I couldn't relax when the pressure hurt. Instead of respecting my request, she argued that a Swedish massage "wouldn't help my muscles." I wasn't there for a diagnosis or to be told what treatment I should receive--I booked a Swedish massage because my goal was to relax. That goal was completely missed because my repeated requests were ignored. On top of that, she asked me more than 10 times why I don't come in more often. I kept my answers short, and eventually stopped responding because I don't enjoy making conversation during a massage, especially when I'm repeatedly being questioned about my attendance. A massage should be a relaxing experience where the client's preferences and comfort come first. Ignoring repeated requests about pressure and continuing unwanted conversation made this experience incredibly disappointing. It was a waste of money, and I won't be returning.

I went to J.J Thai Spa specifically for neck and lower back pain. I paid for a 45-minute massage,…read morebut the therapist did not use the full time and spent it doing other things instead of focusing on my problem areas. She completely skipped my lower back, and my neck (which was stuck and the main reason I went) felt like nothing was done. I left feeling no relief at all and very disappointed. On top of that, I was pressured into giving a tip even though I was unsatisfied with the service. This was a very poor experience and I would not recommend this place if you need real therapeutic work.

My boyfriend went first and then I went. After my boyfriends massage he paid and I was tipping so he didn't. The lady asked him "no tip?" which I found to be very unprofessional and rude but nevertheless she ended up getting tipped from me! It was awkward though and she kept flirting with my boyfriend in front of me at the end. WARNING: no seating/ waiting area so be prepared for that! I found that a little off as most places have a waiting area.

I thought it was cute how under the table (I guess for the inspiration) they had a fake sunflower in eye view haha. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was that even though the massage itself was great, the atmosphere is a little tricky especially if you go during the day and it's sunny. The place gets a lot of natural light and the walls do not extend to the top of the ceiling so it's a little tough to relax if you're sensitive to that sort of thing - not to mention that I was the first room to be placed in by the door entrance. The outside noise wasn't too bad and the music ambiance was good too. They had the AC going on so that helped diffuse the noise a bit. I would still go back here especially with great prices - 1hr $60 for Swedish massage.

The two ladies took us in, you get ready in the room and after a couple minutes your masseuses come thru and get started. Now deep tissue was an extra $20 for the couple, we said sure, honestly didn't look at the price list but we went with the promo for couples massage. Not sure if that's just the standard Thai massage. The ladies went straight to work and i just say, they are some super strong ladies haha. I was in so much pain from the deep tissue massage that i was sore in my upper back / shoulders and calves for the next 2 days. I guess you can say no pain no gain. Definitely felt better. The calves hurt like hell when she was working out the tightness, i almost kicked her off haha. Overall one of the better deep tissue massages I've had in a long time. Will be back for another session for the lady and I.

We found Crystal Thai Spa & gave them a ring to see if they had any availability for walk-ins for 2 one hour massages. They gave us the green light & we headed over there in 20 minutes. They share a space with other businesses and when you arrive, it's up one flight of stairs. Our massage therapists wasted no time & went right into the massage. We did deep tissue & some parts were certainly a little uncomfortable, especially the areas that were tight, but super relieving afterwards. This was a wonderful massage & one of the better deep massages both of us have experienced in a very long time! We usually stick to more local spots to us but I'm glad we found this gem. Will definitely be returning soon. Price: couples massage 1 hr $210 card/ $200 cash. We did cash payment & Venmo'd tip. Parking: free street parking or can park in the back of the building.
