Woman with pink lipstick is rude. My appointment was set for 1:45 and when I arrived I was told it was for 2. I checked my text confirmation and pointed out to her that it states 1:45. I didn't mind waiting - but I made it clear to her that I'm only showing you to make you aware that maybe your system has a scheduling glitch. She had a little attitude "well she's almost done" No " I'm sorry" , No "thanks for letting me know" How about offering water , coffee, tea? Then she handed me a zip lock bag as she's walking away from me . Basically the delivery behind the action was "here take the bag and figure out what to do next" I still have my coat on - never offered to take my coat either . Just thought her demeanor was blaise , aloof, and rude. Common courtesy goes a long way . read more

That must be easier than actually addressing what was written to any of the reviews. Just to be clear: Laura Reyes, Heather, Janae, Jade, and myself are very real people, very real clients (Heather, Laura and Janáe) and--ironically--very much in your system. In fact, Laura and Janae are the reason Heather came to your salon in the first place. So no, no fake profiles here... just real customers with a very real experience. What's most interesting about your response is what you didn't do. You didn't address a single detail from my original review--the timeline, the consultation, the failure of the service within days, the admission that the weft should not have been done, or the fact that it didn't even last two weeks. I laid everything out clearly, step by step, and even mentioned that there are photos and videos documenting the entire situation (which, by the way, your team asked for). Instead, the focus was on deflecting blame and questioning credibility. Let's also correct something: Heather did not "ask" for a weft. She has never had extensions before and would not be the one recommending a method--that is literally the professional's job. She trusted the consultation given by the owner. That's the point. And while we're here--it's hard not to notice the sudden wave of glowing Google reviews appearing at the exact same time ours were posted, many from accounts with little to no prior review history. Just an observation. This was never about attacking Brie or any stylist. In fact, Brie showed empathy and acknowledged that the weft was not the correct method. Every single person we spoke to directed us back to the owner--which is why accountability ultimately sits there. Also worth noting:     *    The owner was unavailable for the entire month while this was unfolding.     *    There was no proactive follow-up.     *    The only public-facing content shared was a "day one" success post--without any acknowledgment of what happened in the days after. If we're being honest, posting the full timeline (including days 3-10) would tell a very different story. At the end of the day, this is about a first-time client who spent $2,500 expecting a professional, informed service--not something that began falling apart within days and required removal shortly after. I came to Mora Hair Salon for a special occasion to get my hair styled, along with my daughter's, for her Sweet 16. While the stylist was pleasant, the overall experience was disappointing and left me incredibly frustrated. When my daughter saw her finished style, she didn't love how it turned out, so I politely asked if it could be tightened. The stylist told me she only had five minutes to fix it, which made us feel rushed and dismissed. My daughter ended up just saying to leave it as is because we didn't feel like we had a choice. The biggest issue was the pricing. I was charged $200 each $400 total for a service I had received just a year ago, I legit got the same style for $125, and that previous visit even included a wash and blow dry. This time, we were told to come in with our hair already washed and blown out. So not only did we receive less, but we were charged significantly more. When I brought up the pricing difference, the owner, Mora, told me I should have been charged more the last time despite the fact that she was the one who checked me out during that visit. She didn't acknowledge that I was a returning customer, didn't try to offer any resolution, and basically told me "the price is the price." There was no accountability, no flexibility, and absolutely no consistency in the way pricing was handled. To make matters worse, the website clearly lists the style as $125, so to be charged $200 felt completely unreasonable. I left with my hair just curled and pinned up, and had to finish styling it myself at home after paying $400. I'm not someone who usually complains, and I fully expect to pay premium prices for good service I came prepared to spend $300 after tipping. I know it's only $100 difference But it's the principle I left feeling taken advantage of, disappointed, and honestly disrespected. Overall, my experience at the salon was extremely disappointing. Despite my initial positive experience with Wanda, my second appointment was a disaster. The extensions that were applied were not only placed incorrectly, but they also caused my hair to come out. This not only caused physical discomfort, but it also had a negative impact on my self-confidence. It's unfortunate that what could have been a great experience turned into a negative one. Additionally, when I returned for my third appointment which was a same day appointment I made due to the fact that my My hair was ripping out and I have two bald spots now. I had to have the extensions removed, I was unfairly charged to have them put back in and even blamed for the damage for wearing a hat. It's disappointing that the salon did not take responsibility for their mistake and instead tried to shift the blame onto me. And had the nerve to charge me $115. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and I will not be returning to this salon in the future. It was never explained to me that I was going to be charged $20 each. and a blowout fee. I was told it was because of the fact I wore a beanie during a run. I consultant with another hairdresser at a different salon, and there should be no problem with wearing a hat. To make matters worth the $115 I spent to have them replaced was for naught as the newly replaced tape were replaced incorrectly again and needed to be removed. My fist inital visit wasn't bad so I saved up money to try it again. I was hesitant to leave a bad review because my stylist was so nice and I didnt wanna ruin their reputation. Then I seen other people has similar problems. My stylist did try to fix my hair without charging me extra but the owner upcharged me and said that I had to pay for the extra products being used on me. My initial price for my hair was 700 and i was fine with that as long as my hair came out nice. Let me tell you it went beyond a 1000 and they didn't have my hair color in stock and I had to come back to get it fix. Now my hair is damaged and falling out. I'm not the person to argue with you but I will never go there again. Also what lead me to this review was because I seen her refund policy on IG and it kind of ticked me off. It says they do not offer refunds and they will try to resolve it because the stylist doesn't get paid for refunds. Understandable but in the end the owner upcharges you. Please don't EVER go here. I got up charged for a junior stylist! The women was very unprofessional. I believe Tina store manager was her name was very condescending when I expressed my disappointment with my hair. The vibe in place is very off and overall. I have since had pay someone else to correct the damages this salon caused my hair. You can get the same results at the hair cuttery or Supercuts and save a lot of money and time. The staff here is very rude and nasty when they can't even deliver a proper service. She makes you feel very comfortable, is extremely knowledgeable on curls, and will make your hair feel and look fabulous. She gave me tips on how to refresh my curls for days after wash. Again I explained that was NOT what we wanted and what did they mean. What they meant was they wanted to charge $125 or more for my sons haircut. At the risk of sounding a bit snobby, I must admit I would never normally head to a salon that only had 3 stars on Yelp. However, a good friend goes here religiously and not only is she super picky, but her hair is beautiful, and exactly the style I've been unsuccessfully searching for. To top it off, it seems a bit silly for for Philly gal to head to Jersey to get her hair done with so many salons right here in the city. To that I say, not only was I quoted about $200 LESS here than in the city for services I hadn't seen done by salons in the city, but I searched Mora Salon's Instagram and kept finding the exact look I wanted by a girl named Karley, so the quick drive over the bridge I thought would be worth it. It was! Booking for new clients was simple and requires a $50 deposit over the phone, which goes towards the total. I was greeted warmly and promptly by the receptionist, by Karley, and by our super sweet shampoo gal who brought me a cup of coffee as I began, and stayed on top of my many washes and timing the entire stay. Karley was adorable and talented! Conversations the entire five and a half hours I was there free-flowing and entertaining. She suggested methods of dying to highlight my natural color, and ones that would maximize my time with my color. Much appreciated. She was very professional and obviously knew her trade very well. I got a balayage, painted roots, a glaze, a one hour haircut, and a single process to tone down my brassiness. My total was $314 pre tip and purchase of a texture spray which Karley recommended for how I like to style my hair. I should mention all of the products they use here were top notch. Karley also took the time to show me how to properly do beach waves with a curling iron as she was blowing me out, which is included price of the haircut. I had an excellent first experience here. Everyone in the clean, trendy salon were very kind. So happy to have made a relationship with Karley. I completely trust her with any and all future treatments. I'm already thinking about what I want to do next visit! I'm thrilled with my hair. I've been getting my hair done with Wanda for over 12 years! I've tried everything she has to offer from platinum blonde to dark cranberry red colored hair. I've never had an issue with my color. I've even had it dyed platinum silver. Aside from her amazing colorist talents, her extension application is the best! I've used tape ins and also the great length fuse ins. My hair has always been the talk of the party everywhere I've gone. The extensions never fall out and don't shed! I wash and style my hair as I normally would without them. I love Wanda dearly as she's become a great friend of mine throughout the years. Her talent, hard-work and perseverance shines through in any endeavor she embarks on. As far as the salon, the look is chic, modern and very clean. The receptionist is always smiling when I come for an appointment. I am always greeted warmly and walked to my stylist. The staff is amazing as well (when Wanda is super booked I go to anyone for a blowout). I've had blow outs with Brittany, Julissa, Erica, Soly, Talia, and Melony and I loved the results EVERYTIME! I'm a stickler for super dry hair when I get a blow out just because I have soo much hair with the extensions, I'd hate to have it blown out and still be damp. But they get it right EVERYTIME! Mora salon is the best and only salon I will ever go to! Wait! I must not forget about the most important staff member, RUTHY! Ruthy is the sweetest shampoo lady you'll ever meet! I've seen Dena at Mora Salon twice now and I am beyond happy with my experience! Not only is she the absolute nicest person you will ever meet but she is also incredibly talented. From the second you sit in her chair she will make you feel comfortable and at ease. She gives a great consultation and offers honest advice on which direction is best for your hair. Her blow outs are perfection and after having my first hair cut with her this week I know I finally found the perfect fit for me! Reaching my 40s soon I decided to go hard. I knew Mora was expensive prior but wanted to splurge on myself and I felt that I would have gotten what I paid for. You know the memes where they're like "what you asked for" vs "what you got", this is the experience I had. But a pricey experience at that. My tab came out to $310. I wanted a haircut, Balayage. I did my roots a couple days prior to save money. Come appointment day the lady suggested I do roots also. I was like well I guess, thinking it was best so that everything can flow right. She's the pro right. She knew it was my first time. She could have mention how much things will cost as she went. She did me a "glaze". Whatever that means because she didn't explain it. I'm like go ahead you're the pro. I showed her exactly what I wanted. Ok, hair was done. Went home, my husband was like what did you do? He couldn't see a difference and was low key upset because I spent $310 for something I probably could have done myself. Needless to say. I don't see myself ever going here again. Not even for a "master stylist" because that tab would probably end up $600. See there's options either a "Jr stylist" or a "Master stylist". I chose Jr because it was within my price range. But my tab ended up being $310. I'm not rich, just wanted to splurge on myself and change my look for my 40th. Sadly, I feel like I was loss vs won that day. And hardly anyone noticed my "new do". I feel bad for going elsehere to try something new. Should have stuck with my old salon that for that price I would have been worked on from head to toe and been more satisfied, probably for less. It's a beautiful salon and great people just won't be stepping in there any more. Suggestion: explain to "first comers" how much things will cost individually before doing them. Also, try to get to the person's wish as close as possible. If you're a "Jr stylist" ask a master stylist for their advice as you go. After waiting for an hour I showed the woman what I wanted my hair to look like (which was a textured high ponytail) and that translated to "let's put a rats nest on her head." She made me feel so bad for having long hair and literally shamed me for not having short hair. She constantly complained "you have too much hair." I specifically told her I wanted to show off how long my hair is and she ended up taking the longer layers of my hair and wrapping them up in a bun under the ponytail! I'd say she retried the hair style at least 4 times. Keep it in mind that each time she tried she finished with hairspray then took it out and tried again. (There's such a thing as overworking hair and you think this stylist would know!) Lash lift gone wrong I've had lash lifts for 3-4 years at Mora, every three months, with the same esthetician. She left the salon and they recommended another woman, with experience, they said. My right lashes were beautiful. My left lashes were crooked, bent and frizzed. I have thus far, in two months, spent an additional $200 in serums to try to straighten the lashes and prevent breakage, in addition to the $120 with gratuity that I spent for the lash lift. I'm at two months now and the left lashes are still bent and in bad shape. They are slightly more relaxed. I did call the manager about two weeks after the incident. I didn't want to complain because of COVID, but the esthetician did a terrible job, essentially ruining my left lashes. The manager told me that she would "do something" for me at my next lift, scheduled for December, with another operator. A week later, she called and told me that the other operator had left. So that's it, bad lash lift, two plus months of dealing with the left eyelashes and being unable to even use mascara, because that accentuates the problem, and I'm out of pocket the lash lift and the serums to try to mitigate the damage. read more

After explicitly telling my stylist the previous hair colors and service I recieved and what I wanted to do and if it were possible, no advice was given. I asked for a test strand but no "she wanted to get right into it". The only response I would get "I'll try my best". If you're not confident in your ability to color/style someone's hair DONT DO IT. Not only did my hair get damaged with the extra bleaching but the end result was not what I asked for. I was so unhappy with the results that I called back super upset of course because the experience was horrible and then the fact that my hair color was uneven. It just looked so ugly. NO ONE EVEN APOLOGIZED when I called or when I went back to the salon. Funny when I even called the salon and spoke with the manager, she knew who I was because of the damage that was made on my hair and after speaking with the stylist she confirmed, "she knows what happened and what to do" like okay so the stylist knew my hair did not look good and instead of fixing it then and there, she decided its okay to let a client go home knowing their hair does not look good. The fact I had to make another hour drive to fix a mistake she made, I had to pay extra for q blowout that wouldnt even be needed if she did it right the first time. Saying that "oh we're already making this service free for you" or saying its okay for someone to leave the salon with wet hair and a portion blowdried IS NOT OKAY! And then saying oh you'll need to pay for the blowout. A BLOWOUT I DIDNT NEED IF YOU DID YOUR JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!! Money is never a problem if the service is good, here it was not worth the money, time or energy. The only person that was pleasant and actually took care of my hair was Maribel. I went to Mora salon with my younger sister after she called the salon twice to speak to someone about her fading hair. She had her done on June 10 and by June 20th the color was completely faded and looked horrible. After walking out because they were being very disrespectful and dismissive of my sister she later came out after speaking with the owner only for them to have tried to charge her a second time for their mistakes and just walked away from her for not wanting to reschedule I went back inside to ask why she would be charged for their mistake but before I even got my sentence out the woman was yelling at me to get out immediately and that i was causing a scene. At this point she was already raising her voice at me so i asked how was i causing a scene when i was trying to ask a question. The owner started banging on the front desk telling the receptionist to call the cops on me and started getting in my face, my sisters, and her boyfriend who was just standing there not even speaking to them. I called the police and as I'm on the phone with the police the owner was screaming into my face trying to speak over me on the phone so we went outside to report the salon. She locked the door, stood in the doorway and came outside after the police told her to go inside her salon. After the police got everyone's statements she came outside again but this time she had scissors to which the police told her to go back inside again. I'm that girl who can never make up her mind on dark or light, and this time I went light with a balayage and Talia was simply great trying to get me as light as possible and that's exactly what I got! I was really overall disappointed with my services at salon mora. I came here after hearing both good and negative things but hoped the good would outweigh the bad. The shampoo was excellent and they use all the high end products I use so that's usually a good start. After getting washed they blow dry it so it can be dry cut.. this is fine but usually most salons will then wet it back down and blow it out so you have smooth beautiful volume. Not here .. after the cut she ran a curling iron through it.. when someone dries your hair quick and it looks flat and like a poodle.. just throwing some curls in it at the end isn't going to make it look fab. My boyfriend thought I missed my appointment. The cut is also a little miss connected. It looks very mushroomy now where they put in a layer and the bottom just hangs. I then got my lashes done- it was just a fill. Took the girl 40 or so minutes and she charged me 85.00 .. um 85.00 for a fill. The girl who checked me out then said well is usually 150. .. 150 for a fill for non mink lashes. I pay less for super great work in Philly and NYC.. most places are 65 at 2 weeks 85 at 4 weeks. But if you're gonna charge more than city prices you better be fab. They weren't-glued in all directions and I woke up the next morning with one eye crusted shut- thought it was a fluke but was irritated all day the next day and ended up having to get drops from the dr. ** BEWARE & SAVE YOUR MONEY!** This salon is a total joke, seriously. Of course Miss. Wanda is going to attack if she sees something she does not like instead of addressing this matter privately and appropriately (she has vicious history of ranting people/clients on her personal page which is extremely unprofessional and childish) but I am addressing the REAL issues here. First of all, I have been a loyal customer and had been going to this salon for almost two years now. Being totally transparent about my hair history with the stylists, my goal was NEVER achieved. There was lack of communications with a stylist (multiple times) from my last visit and I was being charged for services that was not approved or known about. My roots turned out to be an Auburn color; which doesn't match my descending highlights and the glaze made my hair darker. (I did not want to go darker!) When addressed the issues, I told Wanda I was more than happy to come in but she said she was too "busy". Hence addressing the issues and concerns, both Tina and Wanda was totally dismissive and rude. Apparently, Wanda felt she was not "comfortable" with issuing me a refund instead of fixing this issue. Wait.. what? Not "comfortable"? The services I had received was not up to par and Wanda hasn't been very forthcoming about resolving this issue or refunding my money back. (If your salon are doing so well financially, then you would issue me my money back but it sounds like your business is struggling). Instead, they felt the need to say that we need to go our "separate" ways. Tina then had the decency to tell me that I need another highlight which I had done a month ago from another stylist (that's another story)! They didn't have any intentions of fixing this issues or calling me back but instead blaming this whole thing COVID-19 and using that as an excuse. I had poured TONS of money into this salon for the past 2 YEARS and every appointments, every sittings was not worth it! I was MORE THAN PATIENT & with multiple sittings, sadly, my hair goal was NEVER achieved. I came to this salon with an open mind and understanding that to achieve my hair goal, would take more than 1 sittings. I also come to this salon EVERY MONTH for touch ups and every time it gets darker & I'm forced to get more work done (balayage, highlights, baby light, etc). My hair literally looked the same way when I came in this salon but slightly lighter. I will not be surprised if Wanda responds to this post on here with her excuses or bash me on her private page, which she tends to do. Fancy Nancy will prance her way and will talk down to anyone that address their issues and concerns that happened at this salon. She does NOT know how to address these issues professionally and adequately without jeopardizing her salon. I will NEVER come back and will report this salon to a better business bureau and will fight to get my money back. I wish this salon all the best of luck but I will be taking my loyalty and money elsewhere! So before anyone starts attacking me or my post, I have tons of before and after photos and you can judge for yourself & tell me that it doesn't take 2 years to get this light or lighter. Everyone I went lighter, they ALWAYS try to pull me darker so I could come back for more services. On contrary, she deleted my review VIA Facebook and blocked me on Facebook. That's how SHADY this woman is. Any salon would've taken me in if they knew the amount of money I poured into this Salon. Wanda is a very disturbed individual. I asked her to provide photos (before/after) and she FAILED! I asked her to name the salons that I've been to and if so name them - FAILED! I asked her to show refund transactions - FAILED! Wanda NEVER gave me a refund. I gave her tons of opportunities to validate her statement and in her defense she blocked me. Funny how every negative reviews she will falsely claimed that you already came there with damaged hair or she will lie to others and say that you never been a client in her salon, harassed her staff or she will say that she offered you help but you declined. I had an amazing experience with Karley and Jessica over the weekend - couldn't be happier! Karley did an incredible job coloring my hair, I wanted to completely change my look/color and it turned out better than I imagined. Jessica cut my hair after and she also did an amazing job. Both Karley and Jessica listened to what I wanted and gave me their professional opinions. It turned out perfect! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the both of them!! Note this is my review on Google. Had to copy and paste. Review on Google if you'll like to see the unprofessional response the owner gave me: Changed my two star rating to one now. The response to my google eview was simply unprofessional... Especially since, I WAS there on April 18 and my appointment was at 2:00pm. Talia was the one taking care of me. Overall, the experience was good. The salon atmosphere is certainly chic and fabulous. The hair stylists are well trained. They just aren't that super warm/nice. Just okay. I was hoping to get more advice on what I should or should not do with my hair... with the expections I had. In other words, I wanted more guidance since I don't go to hair salons that often. PLEASE NOTE, as well...that everything is grossly over priced. You can easily spend close to 400$ on some highlights, cut, and blow. Even on super short, thin hair. All in all, Mora salon is an okay salon. I just wasn't WOWED. Not for what it cost to do my hair and the type of customer service I received. You can also tell a whole lot about the culture of the salon in the manner they respond to REALLY reviews. They seem unwelcomed, as if the salon doesn't have room or need for growth. Not once did the the responder initially mentioned or suggested for me to call to provide my feedback, in great details or let alone asked me to verify my appointment date. The responder didn't even write some type of thank you message for trying out the salon. It was my first time there, no one referred me to Mora. I simply searched for a salon in Cherry Hill and Mora was the first to came up. Plus they had same day openings... So I decided to go there. As a business owner myself, I pay greater action to the customer service I receive at other business. I do so to help improve my own. Mora's review responder should consider doing the same. All in all, Talia did do a good job on my hair. The experience and interaction with the salon (as a whole) was weak, and does need improvement. Especially, for new customer like myself. Where shall I start? Well, let me go to the pros before I really go full throttle on this place. Rich was my stylist and he did a great job on my hair, color was vibrant, ash blonde (the way I wanted it), he styled it gorgeously, place is clean and organized, he was attentive (offering water, coffee etc) and very knowledgeable in his line of work. Cons: Although everyone has their bad and good days, I felt since I was a new client that I should've been greeted more welcomely. First off, I was immediately seated (that's a plus) and he got straight to the point. I mean I get it, you don't want to waste no time and in this type of business you're booked by appts meaning you have a time frame to must meet (I'm in the beauty business as well and been in customer service for almost 10 years) but can we establish some sort of relationship first? Whatever! Second, his assistant put the wrong toner in my hair and washed it out quickly as if this was my first rendezvous. I been coloring my hair blonde on and off for the pass 9 years, um hello? So I asked her did she put the wrong toner in my hair and she LIED and said no. She washed my hair maybe 2 times(?) to get it out so I knew 100% she did. In conclusion, to cut the long story short, my service was prolong maybe a half to 45min trying to fix my wrong toner application (I was in there for 4hrs for half a head of highlights). She did not apologize for her mistake (may I add that I still tipped her). Rich is great at his line of work but if he can be more personable and welcoming it would make every customer experience just a tad better. Prices are on the higher end but I don't mind as long as it's worth it and it's exactly what I want (I guess it was worth it minus the toner mistake). I say, if you DON'T mind the ultimate salon experience where you can have a one on one relationship with your stylist and feel comfortable and have great hair then give this place a shot. If you DO mind, then I would recommend somewhere else; keep in mind that the other stylist in there maybe better bc I've only tried one ! I am no one to only Yelp when I have a bad experience (you can check my record if you like ) but seriously, mora salon needs little minor fixtures to make this place where every women would enjoy coming to. I may give it one more shot but if it happens again, I'm certain it isn't worth anyone's time-good work or not if it a place that doesn't make you feel comfortable then it's a NO for me! read more
