Made my first appointment with Beato last night and got a 9am appointment for a cut (wash included) with any stylist. Check in was fast. Fernanda knew what I wanted when I was talking her through it - face framing layers with fringe bangs that could be pulled to the side. I showed her a picture but she honestly didn't even need to see it. I love my haircut!! It's exactly what I wanted!! And because of holiday discounts I think, the cut was only 46 with tip. Make sure to bring cash for tip but they also have an atm if you forget. Will be coming back here! Super happy! read more

I'm 65 and only ever dyed my hair one color. Sometimes you need a change. I showed Marta a picture of a woman with grey highlights and very dark lowlights. Honestly, I was excited but apprehensive too. My hair turned out great! I walked in the door and my husband said I was pretty! I think he thought he had a new wife. lol. I made an appointment for semi-gloss application. I was quoted $40-60 on the phone, which is average and what I've usually paid- across New England Salons -New York- Philly-Boston-as I travel quiet a bit. But upon sitting down with the stylist I was re-quoted $160-200 citing "a lot of hair" needing 2 or 3 tube "applications." I was not advised $40-60 is equivalent to "one" tube application. This should be reflected in their price range quote, rather than doubled or tripled after a client arrives to the appointment. Furthermore, the application of semi-gloss is minimally technical, and does not require special application but is distributed the same way shampoo and conditioner would be applied. 200-300 is what I would normally pay for when permanent all over hair color. Very disappointed their price quotes do not reflect a true range. Blaming the customer is not a professional or competent approach to pricing their services. read more

I can't say enough good things about Ashley. I recently decided to mix up my look from a more conservative color job to something a little more fun and trendy (think the ombre look that Drew Barrymore has been sporting lately.) Ashley knew EXACTLY how to help me recreate this look. She's always up on the newest styles and trends and knows how to make them work for me. Beyond that, she took the time to teach me how to use my straighenting iron to give my hair some curl and bounce (i know ... straightening iron for curl!?!? insanity!!) so that i wouldn't have to buy a new styling tool. she made it look super easy, and while i don't have it down yet, she really broke the technique down for me in a way that styling-challenged-me could understand. read more

Excellent jobs with both cuts and color - I've loved the way I look every time I leave the salon, and I've received tons of compliments, too. Great atmosphere/decor. I kind of feel like I'm at a salon post-Tabatha's takeover. The only downsides are that they are quite pricey, even with the online coupons, and they are across town from me. If I had money to blow on a regular basis, I might go there for the atmosphere but you can get the same quality cut/color elsewhere for less. They also do manis/pedis, but I've never even contemplated getting my nails done there because the prices are so ridiculously high. If I'm going to pay that much for a cut/color, I prefer to go to Ulta by Moorestown Mall. They also give great cut/color but are slightly less expensive and much closer to me. read more

My first visit was about 7 years ago and I have been going there ever since. I see Marta and she always does a fabulous job with cut, color and style. On my first visit I explained that I do not spend much time (if at all) styling my hair. I told her that I needed something simple and easy to manage. Of course my hair looked great when she finished styling my hair after my new haircut. The best part though for me was when I washed my hair at home and spent about 15 minutes styling it myself and my hair looked great. I don't know what I would do without Marta cutting and styling my hair. She also does a great job with coloring. The only down side for me is that it is a little pricey, but I figure I'm worth it! Ooops, I almost forgot to mention the rest of the staff is fantastic. I am always warmly greeted with a smile, the atmosphere is great and very comfortable. read more

Beato Salon is by far one of the best salons I've ever gone to. From the first time I came (my stylist, Paul Corsi, had recently transitioned here) I was greeted warmly by the owner, Marta, and taken on a tour of the building, then offered some delicious coffee and a pastry before I sat down. This is the kind of service I expect in an upscale salon like Beato. I felt like a queen! But here's the best part- they treat you like royalty, but there's no stuffy air of pretentiousness in this place, everyone is kind and genuinely pleased to help you. As a designer, I notice decor' right away, and Beato does not disappoint! The lighting is bright and warm, the decorations are modern and current, and the stations are clean and well kept. Did I mention you can SHOP while you're waiting, or allowing your color to process? Oh yes! They offer trendy jewelry, handbags, and scarves for your perusal at excellent prices! Many a time I've left with such a bargain, I almost felt guilty! ;-) Colette the receptionist will make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door, to the time you leave and make your next appointment. I would like to also say my Stylist Paul is a talented colorist, and has given my hair the amazing "blonde goddess" look I seek. He has many years of expertise, and if you choose him you certainly won't be disappointed! Take my advice, this place is amazing, and as a girl who's been to many a salon in the past- their prices are far from high- they are actually quite current and even reasonable, especially their coloring services! Their prices are fair for the quality of the salon and they don't force additional products down your throat like others. I normally don't write reviews, but I think this salon and the experience I had really warrants it. Everything about this salon impressed me. Starting from the website, all the way to the actual service, including customer service and the employees. I have been going to the same salon and stylist for probably about 13 years, with the exception of a few times. I now realized that I was settling because I was comfortable there! Beato salon blew me out of the water on my first visit, and I can't wait to schedule my next appointment. My stylist was Kat, and she did an exceptional job. She was kind, fun, and attentive, and the moment she started working I knew I could trust her with my hair. This place was so affordable and the salon itself is gorgeous and full service! I will most likely be going to them again for a blowout for some photos being taken and my regular trims because it was such a great experience. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

I love coming here to get my hair done. I go to Morgan and she is wonderful. She is very friendly and does a great job. I have super thick, curly hair but that has never been a problem for her. She always styles my hair so I walk out looking perfect....other places I have been to do not even want to attempt to style my hair after cutting it. Many frequent flyers (regulars). Absolutely fell in love. I found this place on the Internet, called in to make an appointment and they fit me in within 2hrs! The receptionist, I didn't catch her name, but she was so pleasant and personable. Offered coffee, she gave really good coupons for me being a new client. The atmosphere is so comfy an welcoming. Now, I was set up with stylist Paul. He was AMAZING!!! I am mixed with black and white so my hair is always changing, and I always found it hard to find someone to cut my hair just right. Well I found the place, and the stylist. Paul I can't thank you enough, I am in love with my hair. He did exactly what I always wanted, plus made it look better. Kept my length but was able to put really nice layers in, and added a bang and framed the hair perfect around my face. Also I feel the pricing is awesome, I've paid way more for haircuts that I couldn't even notice a change. I have long hair, and my total for my cut was $46, and he took the time to blow my hair out really nice. I'd say you definitely get a deal here. I can't say enough good things about my experience here. I found this salon through yelp when trying to find a salon in the area of a wedding that I was attending to get my hair & makeup done. The prices seemed reasonable and the pictures and reviews made me feel comfortable booking my appointment here. Despite everyone else who thought I was crazy to give a salon I've never been to a shot the day of an event, I'm so glad I did!!! Lisa did an AWESOME job on my up-do. I got so many compliments on it throughout the night. Alexis did an amazing job on my make-up and has inspired me to look into cosmetology school myself. Even though I was only with these 2 girls for an hour each, I felt like I walked away with a new best friend. This place charged $550 for a keratin treatment that didn't even work. They said it would cost about $300 but after they did it they changed it to $550. Not only did it do nothing, but it also killed my hair!!!! Never have Ashley do your keratin because she has no idea what she's doing. Beato Salon ripped off my daughter. She went to Beato Salon for the 2nd time to have her hair colored with one of the "Unique" colors (. Unique colors refers to the purples, pinks, etc). Prior to her apt, she asked her stylist, Taylor, for an estimate. On the Beato website it says for the Unique colors a quote will be provided. Despite this policy, Taylor told my daughter, "Hard to say". My daughter, being a naive and trusting 20 yo did not push the issue. This was very unwise on her part, but she figured it would be close to the cost from her previous apt which was 250.00. She was stunned when after her hair was completed she was charged $450.00!!! When I learned of this I went to Beato and spoke with the owner, Terry. I told her we wanted a partial refund as Taylor did not follow the Salon policy of providing a quote despite my daughter asking ( Taylor did confess this was true to Terry). Also, I expressed that 450.00 for hair color, even the Unique ones, was absurdly expensive. No other Salon I researched after this debacle charged anywhere near that. Terry was also shocked by the price and agreed that Taylor was wrong not to provide a quote. However, despite her agreeing with me, she said that "Taylor did a lot of work" and only refunded us 50 bucks! Beato took advantage of my daughter and I see them as unethical . read more
