I walked in for my appointment with Leiann having long hair like the first photo, I asked for the photo of the brunette woman, and I walked out with this to go run errands. She was a really sweet girl but she genuinely did me dirty. Blunt ends, too short, the choppy left side that doesn't match the other side. She never referred back to the photo or communicated with me about how I normally style my hair, or rechecked on the length for me. I wanted to trust her bc she's the professional and I regret that immensely. I attached multiple photos at different angles because I literally can't believe my hair looks this bad. read more

Bad business owner. Female hair cut is $50 where men's is half the price, regardless of length of hair, don't question that price or what comes with it, Not allowed. If you don't like your color of full highlights or stylist coming in 15-20 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, do not come here or complain about it, Not allowed. The owner, Tony doesn't take to criticism well when you ask what is included in a price or if you are not happy with your service. No blow drying after highlights, as that will cost you an extra $30. I have never been charged to get my hair dried after full highlights or color, which cost $200 with no hair cut or blow dry on shoulder length hair at this place. Overall unhappy with how services are handled here. NO thanks! read more

I just moved close by from NYC and needed to save myself the trip and find a hair stylist in NJ to touch up my balayage. My boyfriend found their Instagram account and I searched for balayage photos on it. I fell in love with the consistency in Allison's work shown in photos so I felt that I found the right person to trust with my hair. I called to book an appointment and was advised to first come in for a consultation. To book the appointment I had to pay a booking fee that would be credited towards my service balance anyway - which I totally get because nobody has time for no-call no-shows. I wish I could give this place a higher rating! It was super cute and my stylist was very friendly but I really didn't like the treatment I got. I got a keratin express and it did nothing at all to my hair. It looks great when I left but the day after it went back to normal. It was just a spray she put in my hair where normally I get a glaze for a keratin express. I feel like I paid a lot for nothing:( read more

Evidently, Tony did not listen to me and what I wanted to have done. I don't think his hair coloring was very professional. He was as nice as could be, but I asked for a subtle hair coloring and he gave me just the opposite. Not only that, but the cost was over twice as much as what I planned on spending according to the price list. I was not told anything about extra costs during the long hours long process. I came in looking for a miracle and Morgan accomplished that. I have long thick hair and I came in with really bad cut I got the day before. Wanted layers in the front and the V shape back, but the hair was very choppy, uneven, just terrible. Morgan saw how upset I was, but was confident she could fix it and give me a haircut I would like without losing my length. She worked her magic and I am now in love with what I thought was the end of my long hair. Morgan is awesome and I will continue to come to her for cuts! Totally worth every dollar, and they also serve beer and wine - which next time I will be in a better mood to enjoy a glass. read more

I have been to a number of salons and this by far the best experience I have had. The owner was super nice and accommodating. When I called to make my appointment and explained to what I needed, he set me up with Morgan because I needed color correction. Morgan did a fabulous job on my hair and I have never been happier. She is a wizard at color and I was super happy with the results. The pricing is reasonable and I will definitely be making the trip to come here. read more

I saw Morgan for the first time at Anthony J Hair Studio a couple of months ago, she was nice/outgoing BUTTT it was the worse hair cut I've ever had. Although about 2 months ago, I never forgot because she gave me horrible layers and she damaged my hair sooooo bad with over blow drying it and over pulling with that round brush, although I told her I was trying to get my hair healthy. Ashame. Also, she didn't know how to do dusting, I had to explain it to her (cutting off the split ends)... BTW writing under my husband's name/acct to keep my identity in case I decide to see a different stylist there, although I'm highly discouraged to return there for awhile. read more

She listened to exactly what I wanted and was very honest with me being as though I have very dark hair. She took her time and showed she really cares and loves her job. I came here because I desperately needed a wash/blowout and my usual hairdresser was unavailable.. BOY am I glad that I did! The salon is decorated perfectly and was super clean! I was greeted by Aldarrell who immediately made me feel super comfortable and welcomed! The woman who washed my hair was also super friendly and Aldarrell did an AMAZING job straightening my hair! Sad that I discovered this salon right before relocating to LA, but I definitely will be recommending this salon to family/friends and returning when I am in the area. read more

Anthony J is a phenomenal place for boys and men's haircuts. My husband and all three boys have driven back to Philly for years because they would get butchered in this area. If you need a traditional cut or fade, Anthony J Hair Studio is a must try. Tony, the owner, is an excellent barber, friendly and on trend. After multiple experiences with the stylists there, the results were average at best. From hair cuts to hair color we were never satisfied. I would never recommend this salon or go back there. I have never written a review before but I believe that if you pay a lot of money at a salon, then you should be happy with the service when you walk out of the door. read more
