Would highly recommend. This was the first time I had ever stayed in a Bed & Breakfast…read more Spent 1 night recently after proposing to my girlfriend. CJ and Carly where amazing. They congratulated us once we arrived and they even had champagne in the room waiting!!! Stayed in the Koru Room which was extremely nice. Had your own bathroom and plenty of room. The breakfast in the morning was out of this world!!!! As for location, it is less than a minute away from the main strip in Lincoln, we were able to go to Loon Mountain, ice staking, the local Brewery, and the Ice Castles... all of which where under a 5/10 minute drive. Again, CJ and Carly were amazing hosts. Being our first time they both made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We had some great conversation with them and they made us feel at home! I wish them all the best and again would recommend staying here.

The main part of the house is very small but nice with little stocking of the beverage "amenities". First impression of the room was disappointing for several reasons but the main first impression was that it was not cleaned well nor do the owners care if it's cleaned well. The bathroom was the first real impression where a filthy shower mat hung on the towel rack, the hand towel had crust on it and a dried, unwashed blood stain on the comforter. iTrip, who is "managing" this place was very prompt about returning my emails UNTIL I responded to THEIR email asking about my stay. Crickets. I'll include photos. There are plenty of other gorgeous places to stay in Lincoln....don't give your money to Red Sleigh Inn.

When we got off the slopes there were homemade cookies and a tea station set up in the living room to welcome the guests. The room was clean and charming with a huge private bath. Michael helped us with our bags and told us that there is breakfast from 8-10am but that he will be up around 7 making muffins if we were hungry earlier. He was super helpful and kind. The next morning we went down for breakfast. Amazing. Michael made the breakfast, while Rosanna (sp?) served us. We literally sat there the whole time fawning over how cute and efficient the whole operation was. I got crepes and my friend the French toast. Both were amazing and we were given two hot, homemade muffins, a bowl of fresh fruit, orange juice and tea to start. I'm by no means a baker, or a muffin fan, but after the first bite, I was dying to ask for the recipe. Turns out they include the recipe on the back of their business cards. Score! Start to finish a flawless experience. You can tell this is a labor of love for the innkeepers. It shows in every aspect. Highly recommend.

We arrived to a note with some basic info and informing us that they upgraded our room for free to the Connecticut room which was a very nice surprise as the upgraded room had a Jacuzzi tub. There were instructions to call the owner to let them know what time we wanted to eat breakfast, we accidentally asked for 10 minutes before they start serving and they did accommodate us. The Inn is very cute and cozy, we made use of some of the available brain teaser puzzles that evening. We were able to adjust the temperature of the room easily. The bed was very comfortable and had plenty of warm blankets. The hot water did take a little while to heat up, we started to worry that the water heater was broken but it if did heat up eventually. In the morning we went out to the breakfast area and the inn keeper told us to pick a table to sit, not exactly warm and welcoming but to the point. The breakfast was decent, the fresh fruit was very nice. The inn keepers didn't seem to be the most outgoing/friendly types but nice enough when we got to talking. There is a little driveway to the Inn which was convenient for dropping off all our stuff before parking in the little lot the next driveway up. Overall we had a great stay, and would recommend the Wilderness Inn for local stays, especially with Waterville Valley and Cannon Mountain so close by.

McDinger B&B - Their famous "butt crack latte" (far left) and other coffee drinks

The McDinger B&B for Little Wanderers is my lodging of choice when in the greater Waltham area. It…read moreprovides a relaxing, friendly atmosphere with a top-notch beer selection and an interesting variety of farm-fresh vegetables with most meals. The proprietors are charming and gracious, and their dog is affectionate, though at times a little bit crazy. You may have to compete with the dog for space on some of the living room seating options, but this is just part of the charm of the McDinger B&B experience. During the summer, a previous poster's complaint of having to access the bathroom through the proprietors' bedroom is easily addressed by using the "South Hall Washroom" facilities. Just be careful not to lock yourself out of your room if you do so. During the summer months I am a fan of the greater privacy offered by the "South Hall Lounge" rooming option. This option provides guests with their own personal refrigerator and microwave, as well as the choice of three different beds. Hopefully these bedding options will be upgraded soon to better fit the sleeping needs of taller patrons. Sadly, this rooming arrangement is not available year-round due to seasonal infestations of unwanted teenagers. My only reason for not giving a rating of five stars is the uppity nature of the B&B's other patrons. Apparently opting for the less comfortable yet less obtrusive and more private "South Hall Lounge" option makes one a "drifter", whereas I would counter that it is a polite way to share the space and afford the proprietors a degree of privacy and relief from the grueling task of running such a wonderful (and wonderfully priced!) establishment. Furthermore, it is inevitable that one will be subjected to discourse on the brewing of over-priced coffee, articles in The New Yorker, and the latest doucheyness printed on a can of Six Point. If you are not well-versed in these subjects, then gatherings with other patrons may be awkward at times. All-in-all, the McDinger B&B for Little Wanderers is a welcome respite from the craziness of the standard vagabond existence, and I highly recommend it for your next stay in the area! -Homeless Vagabond

Meals are top-notch, always freshly prepared and creative, and often featuring produce sourced from local farms. Wine list is pretty average, but the craft beer selection is top-notch. Otherwise, an absolute gem with an incredible staff, highly recommended!

I can honestly say it was an amazing choice and so glad I booked it! The owner Jim is incredibly nice and super accommodating. I called at least 3 times to make changes to our reservation throughout the week and he gladly made the changes for me. I feel like I was being annoying but he did not make me feel that way! We were going to arrive super late (around 9PM) and Jim said that he would wait for us to arrive to check in. We got there at 9PM on the dot and he was there like he said he would be and was super nice in person also. When we checked in he told us about complimentary coffee and hot chocolate that we could help ourselves to in the office and a library of DVDs that we could choose from to watch in our room. Unfortunately we did not take advantage of this offer but I was impressed with it! His friendly and cute little kitty made an appearance when we were checking in and I was totally smitten with him! We reserved one of the cottages (#4) for our stay and it was very clean and really cute! It had two rooms with 2 full sized beds, a small kitchen area (breakfast nook, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, cabinet shelves, etc), impressive sized bathroom, 2 flat screen TVs (one for each room), desk, and racks to hang clothes. I absolutely loved it! We had no problems whatsoever during our stay, housekeeping came to clean when we weren't there, and the temperature of the room was comfortable. I usually have a hard time finding something nice at a decent price when I visit the Lincoln/Woodstock area, but this place blew away all my expectations! It was more than reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming here again...and again when I visit Lincoln.

We can unequivocally recommend this facility for anyone looking for clean, well managed and reasonable place to stay.

From the decor and design, down to the soft towels and insanely comfortable bed, the Lodge was clearly created with the guest experience in mind. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Nate, who was not only super chill, but also gave us some great local recommendations and a tour or the property. The coffee/tea bar was a godsend in the early mornings, and having beverages and filtered water available around the clock was great. As someone who is the epitome of picky and can always find something to improve on - I don't really have a negative thing to say about our stay. The house has old charm and character while remaining bright and up to date. We almost overslept every morning because of how comfortable the bed was. The Lodge smells fresh and clean from the minute you first open the door. The common spaces and our suite (the Notch Suite) were kept in tip top shape. The bath towels were super soft - not the small & rough towels you usually get at chain hotels. The owners even left us a bottle of Prosecco to help us kick off our anniversary celebration. There's a chance that some sound will travel and you'll hear other guests, but it's something that the owners were up front about off the bat with the property being an older house. Thankfully, the other guests staying at the lodge were more or less as polite and quiet as we were. All in all, I'm not sure if we would ever stay anywhere else when visiting Lincoln. Already looking forward to coming back!
