Where do I even start? BEWARE OF BRANDON BROWN‼ The first time i walked into Moose Du Nord (so Day 1 of my experience), there was a younger girl working. My friend and I got drinks, and before even touching anything, she ASKED WHAT KIND OF MILK (like normal drink making businesses usually do) & she was very sweet and reminded us they also have cold foam, i asked her for oat milk due to me having a sensitivity with dairy (i am not lactose intolerant just to be clear, but whole milk makes me NAUSEOUS) Day one went perfectly fine with no issues at all. Day 2 I go in & Brandon Brown is working. I only know of him, because it's a small town and some people tend to stand out more than others, not always in a good way...anyways, i walk in and say hi. I am immediately dismissed/ignored and stared at for five whole minutes, while we were looking at the menu, because I was honestly taken aback by the blatant ignorance, and for no reason? We order the same thing as the day before, but I was distracted by the interaction between us and this person, so I forgot to ask for oat milk. He made the drinks iced instead of a frappe, but I wasn't upset, I let him help the man in line, and then politely said "we ordered these as frappes," and he remade them very efficiently, and we waited for our other friend that was ordering. The drink itself was delicious, so I didn't notice the whole milk until over half way in, because I tend to drink my beverages rather quickly. I felt nauseous, like I was about to throw up the entire drink, because he was too ignorant to even say hi or use this thing called customer service. In my experience with businesses that make drinks like that, I have ALWAYS been asked what kind of milk I prefer, he was not interested in caring about any of that, let alone even greeting the people walking in. That is not personality, that is pure ignorance, and if that's what him and his friends want to defend, I think that says A LOT about them ALL. We went back the next day, because there was a different girl working. SHE ASKED what kind of milk we wanted, BOTH OF US. We met up with two more friends and ordered pizza later that day, again, because we thought he wasn't working, otherwise I would have CANCELED our $70 order (large cheese sticks, large dill pickle pizza, and a medium gluten free chicken bacon ranch pizza), mind you the gluten free crust is a $6 up charge and the medium pizzas are like $20 already. I put our order in, ten minutes later, he walks out, and I immediately regret my order. We wait 40 minutes (told us it would be about 25). Brandon hands us our food, so again i'm thrown off because of our last interaction, and yes this is my fault, but I forgot to ask for extra marinara (not knowing that the cheese sticks didn't even come with any) and ranch. I hope everyone knows that I tried to contact the manager and/or owners to address this issue, just to get no answer or call back; and to find out that they actually EXCUSE AND ENCOURAGE this behavior, and he will be working there with his horrible attitude and customer service in the meantime, so I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

Moose Du Nord is an interesting place with tasty pizza. The inside reflects everything else in the area, looks like a cabin and has plenty of references to the surrounding area. Very good pizza. read more

The pizza? Amazing. The service? Also amazing. Very homey and the gifts around the corner inside are random, but interesting (wax melts, gel candles, Jeep clothing, playing cards, kid beach toys, etc.). We got half BBQ chicken and half BLT pizza (flavors were top-notch). read more

So happy they had ice cream. It was truly hard to come across in this area. And it's the good stuff, too. Lots of hard serve options. I would just recommend carrying more options for coffee. I needed higher fat... milk and almond milk won't work. If you could add heavy whipping cream or even half-and-half it would be so appreciated! :) Lots of other menu options for food. We almost ordered stuff to go for later but held off as they got quite a few customers quickly. Neat gift shop and building, plus the girl working the counter was so sweet. Thank you! It's a gas station, gift shop, espresso bar and ice cream joint. The staff is friendly, the pizza and espresso is on point, what's not to love? They are open year round and their hours are generous. It's one of the few places open for the winter tourists. The last time we were there they had an order for 22 pizzas. THATS how good the pizza is. ;) read more

Lovely place for gas and treats. I wanted espresso while we were in Newberry and this place came up. It was a lovely spot and It has a lounge that was unfortunately closed due to covid. But the staff was so kind and helped us get a good ice cream for my son, which he said was amazing. There was a store upstairs too that sold shirts etc and there were tables outside. I had a latte that was delicious and an americano for my husband. They had all the flavors and variety of milks. I will definitely be back. read more

first off: pizza only took 15 minutes. amazing 10/10 while we waiting for our pizza we decided to play the duck claw game. it gave us SEVEN DUCKS for four rounds. AMAZING. we were wearing party hats and birthday crowns which the girl at the counter totally could have ignored but because we were celebrating our birthdays we got FREE ICE CREAM. was quite literally the most amazing day we've had all trip. pizza and sticks were exactly what we needed. vibes were high read more

The owner of this place is the nicest and most honorable guy we've come across in a long time. Kurt gave us hope in Humanity by going out of his way and helping us when we broke down near his business. Out of the goodness of his heart he took time out of his day to tow us over 60 miles to our truck and trailer. He was a life saver and we really appreciated it. GO HERE!! Very friendly and kind husband and wife own the place. Long story, but my husband and I ended up stopping here after some malfunctioning snowmobiles. It was freezing and I hung out for a bit while my husband went to get our trailer down the road. Not only do they have the cutest shop, but we ended up ordering a pizza to take home and it was amazing. Perfect after a long day being in the cold. I didn't have a chance to try the ice cream but even in the winter, people were coming in to get a couple pints to take home. The next time we're in town, we'll definitely be ordering food from here and I can't wait to try the ice cream.... read more

Nice and new. Gourmet coffee shop with a great selection. Ice cream, soft serve and hard dip. A few tables and a nice lounge area with a flat screen tv and wi-fi. Also a few carryout items and gift shop type things. But the best thing at the moment is they are in a gas war with a near by gas station, so reasonable gas! Not sure how long the gas war will last but certainly a nice addition to the area. read more
