Very unsafe. I went shopping on Monday, and 75% of customers didn't wear masks. I also noticed two employees not wearing masks. As one of the main grocery stores in the Newberry area, you would expect better. The owner of this IGA is putting my family in danger and the families of Newberry. Mask up! Prices are okay on certain things but very good on other things very clean store very nice staff and u can get a lot of good deals here. They let u do bake sales in the store if u have to rasie moeny for school related items for free. Awsome deli employees and store employees deli food is very good definitely get what you pay for should be able to rate over 5 starts. read more

iMuch better quality produce and meat than nearby stores! The deli has the best tasting fried chicken too. Love that they will package extra deli items and put them in a cold case so customers can buy some items even after the deli is closed for the day. Prices are a little higher at times but just to shop for the fresh food items makes it worthwhile. Staff very friendly but they all should be able to tell you where, in the store, an item can be found, as its not the size of a superstore grocery. As I am restricted to using a wheelchair full time I haven't been "out and about" for a long time and have ZERO immunity protection due to multiple medical issues (fears of that darn COVID crap) I do believe, in my opinion, that the review. regarding no mask wearing, was just a little harsh. The store can mandate their employees to wear a mask but customers are a different story. One store that had restricted hours for elderly and disabled people to shop did not even follow their own set rule! On the first occasion that my husband, who is an oldster too, used this option, there were younger people in the store. One couple, "invaded !!" his 6 foot distancing to shop for an item in front of him, where he was also reaching for an item and then started COUGHING! They reappeared at the check-out lane, again exhibiting the close "buddy-buddy" stance. I am (a little) bit sorry for the length of this review but, a warning, downstate outside of Ann Arbor, store owners/managers are being physically attacked for trying to comply / endorse this mandate and at 1 store, a security guard was shot and killed by a returning husband whose wife was restricted from shopping by this guard, for not wearing a mask. Choose your battles, just shop elsewhere! It's your choice too. I also think it would be very helpful if you had an app. on your website where people could check the price of an item or see if you even carry it......like "Frosty Paws ( ! )" Do you? We have to get them at Meijers in the Sault, Can't shop local for those! Overall you are a GREAT store.
