I needed a full suit, tie, and new shoes to prepare for a job interview. During my shopping experience, timely clothing recommendations and feedback for each fitting were provided with very high efficiency. wedding party got sized up for our suites. when we received them they were wrong Colour and the vests and shirts didn't fit. had to miss most of the day to pick up the new clothing at noon the day of the wedding. absolute terrible service and very in reliable. I've heard this from many people. will never go back and I recommend you don't either. unless you enjoy last minute stress. oh yah they charged me a late fee for missing the return date by one day. read more

This location does not even deserve a one star, though there is no option to give lower. I am getting married in may this year. Yesterday I went with my best man to get fitted for suits. We went to the Moores inside of LinconFields mall. We walked in and got greeted by a man who then brought to some lady who couldn't even get our names right after introductions. We had to correct her three times and she still couldn't get our names right. I asked her about rentals, which there were only 4 types to choose from. I asked if we could try them on to which the employee told us that's not possible. Basically she told us that if we wanted to go with any rentals offered in the store, that we would have to order them in. Which would only be available a week before the wedding. The fact that they expect you to pay $180-240 for a rental that you can't even try on is absurd. None of what the employee said made any sense. This was the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. For a company that is supposed to be professional,they are the farthest thing from it. We quickly left that store and will never return again. I honestly don't know how that place stays in business with work practices like that. We ended up going to Tip Top Tailor's inside of Bayshore mall. This store gave us amazing customer service and we actually got to try everything on before making a purchase. The best part of all was the suits are better quality and for the same price range that Moores had rentals, we actually get to keep the suits for life. If you are thinking of going to Moores and spending time and money think again. Safe yourself the trouble and go straight to Tip Top Tailors! They will give you an amazing experience and you will leave with great deal and a suit you can keep for life! read more

Stopped by Moores over Boxing Day to investigate the deals as designer label sport coats were 50% off. After 30 minutes of trying various coats on I was able to find 3 that fit great, looked even better and I saved a TON of money on top-quality name-brand sport jackets. Jay (salesperson) was helpful and pointed me to the correct section and let me be for 25 minutes while I tried on various coats. I recommend asking for Jay - he was the right balance between helpful and providing suggestions without being pushy (as some men's clothing store people can be). If shopping at Moores I recommend staying with the better known brand items. Some of the lesser known brands were not the greatest quality (however they were priced very reasonably). read more

Incredibly terrible service. Where to even begin... I was part of a wedding party for a wedding and we decided to get suits of the rack at Moores. Although it was a bit like pulling teeth, we did manage to find a few suits that worked off the rack, but instead were convinced that we should go the route of getting CUSTOM made suits "2 for 800$". With 6 weeks to go before the wedding, we expressed our hesitation, however we were GUARANTEED they would be there between 2-4 weeks later. We were fitted by a nice enough younger lady. We were pretty happy with how the fitting was going, however I explicitly said I wanted narrower pant legs. The lady said, and I quote "we can take that in during your alterations"...I probably should have known that this was probably wrong, but what do I know about suits? We wrapped up, and paid (650$ each! mind you we did add a couple extras. I mean a couple extras...nothing that was worth 250$ extra, but hey, it was over and we were relatively happy). We wait 2 weeks, waited 3 and then 4 before I called the first time. After a series of extremely frustrating phone calls, while being lied to, passed around to different managers and hung up on (I was even put on hold for 50 minutes at one point...that store is NEVER that busy), I finally decided to put my foot down and demand an answer regarding the arrival of our suits. After being Guaranteed they would be there within a reasonable time, we were now being told that they would be there the DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING for alterations, if they EVEN got there at all. We were offered free tux rentals in case they didn't, but come one, we paid for custom suits because we didn't want garbage rentals. When they finally did come in, the DAY BEFORE the wedding, the pants were too wide, as I stated before, so I asked them to take the in. The guy doing the alterations had no idea what I was talking about and assured me this was not possible. I SPECIFICALLY asked the lady if this was possible and she said yes. So long story short; we looked ok during the wedding, but I am absolutely not happy with the suit I got, the manner in which I got it, the price I paid, the hours spent hounding them for a simple answer and the service along the way. It was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had. Be cautious when shopping here; the sales staff seem to just want to make a quick buck and get you out the doors. read more

Moores is a pretty decent formal clothing store for men. This particular location is the second largest in Canada according to the sales staff. My shopping experience here was great! The staff was courteous and helpful and at no point did I feel pressured. The quality of the clothes is also pretty good for everyday office clothing. They have sales quite often and they also have a year clothing drive. You can donate old formal clothes and get 50% off of your entire order. read more

For my sisters wedding the groomsmen rented their suits through Moore's. This turned out to be a terrible plan as another groomsmen lost the sole of his shoe while walking down the aisle, and the top button of my jacket broke off moments before our wedding pictures were to be taken. I ended up scrambling to find someone with a few pins and we pinned the suit together before the pictures. When I went back and told the person at Moore's what happened her response was "oh that's too bad, I'm sure the pictures were still good though right?". When you're paying to rent a suit you would hope, bare minimum that it at least stays together, and the customer service at this location was just as brutal. read more

Moores Clothing I wanted to share my recent experience ordering a custom-made suit from your company for my friend's wedding. I was very excited that my friend had chosen to go custom made as I have always been difficult to fit off the rack. My first encounter was with a very polite salesman who took my measurements and fitted me into a 34-slim pant and 40 jacket. I thanked the salesman for his help and paid what I owed up front and left. Fast forward to when I was called in for my first fitting. I entered the store and a salesman got my suit and asked me to put it on. I did and found that I could just barely get the pants closed. I was starting to get a little worried but the salesman told me that the pants could simply be let out 2 inches in the waist and seat. I told him that I had worked in a menswear store before and that letting a pair of pants out 2 inches seemed risky and I asked if he could be sure they would fit. Once again, I was told not to worry that it would be worked out. At my second fitting, I brought my mother who is a very experienced seamstress. I was starting to feel very nervous about my suit fitting properly before the wedding. I put on my suit this time to find that the waist fit ok but the seat of my pants was still very tight...tight enough that I was worried they may rip if I were to sit or dance. At this point I let the salesman I was being helped by know that I would need more room in the seat. I was told that they would take it to the tailor for a third time. The tailor let out the seat of the pants as far as she reasonably could but was still unable to make them fit. At this point my mother and I are beginning to feel very nervous as we had about 3 weeks until the wedding. It was clear now that these pants were not going to fit and that we were in a bind. The salesman attending to us clearly sensed this and had asked the assistant manager to come over. This is where things took an even worse turn. The assistant manger told us there was absolutely nothing that could be done and that he could only get replacement pants for after the wedding. He then flat out stated that I had probably gained weight and that it was my fault that I didn't fit into the pants which was ridiculous as if anything I had lost a little weight at that time and the fit in the rest of my clothes had not changed. It was now that my mother realized that although I was fitted into 34 inch pants, the pants that we had received were 32 inch pants. When we told the assistant manager about this he told us that there was still nothing that he could do and that it was not their mistake and that the mistake must have happened elsewhere and that I should just wear the pants anyway. My mother stated that in her experience this would not be a good idea as there was very little give left and they could tear. The assistant manager told my mother that she didn't know what she was talking about and that the pants would tear only after many, many, years of use. I would expect this of well fitting pants but not pants as tight as mine were. I honestly feared they would rip at any time. After 2 hours in the store and about an hour on the customer help line being given the same run around of I must have gained weight and it wasn't the store's fault and new pants couldn't arrive until after the wedding, we were told to come back the next day and meet with the manager. On the fourth fitting, I met with the manager. At this meeting the manager started by trying to convince me that the fit was fine and nothing should be done. I would like to remind everyone that I had worked a menswear store before and have worn slim suits before. I understand they are to be a slim fit but they are also meant to be comfortable. I'm not sure I could sit down too many times without damage to the suit which is beyond uncomfortable. I told the manager that something would have to be done. He suggested we take a bit of the hem from the bottom of my pants and put them in the crotch. I was reluctant but had nothing to lose as the pants I had then didn't fit. So, I agreed and the tailor was able to put some material in the crotch thus releasing some of the tightness in the seat. When I showed up to try on the pants, they fit well enough for me to wear them at the wedding and I was relieved but as I was leaving I felt as though I was somewhat written off. I feel as though now would have been a reasonable time to say "we're sorry for the mix up or we won't let this happen again". However, I felt I was just sent on my way. Throughout the wedding and pictures, I had to be careful as too much walking, dancing, or even standing would result in my pants sliding down a little...a normal occurrence in a suit. However, in my suit it would expose the wide baggy area in the crotch. This often made me feel self-conscious on a day where I should have been focused on having fun. This was my experience and to be honest it was not what I expected. read more
