The whole experience was amazing. The pricing, quality, numerous solid gold chain options, and the service left us so happy. Nawal did all of our bracelets and she was beyond friendly - she seemed like a long lost friend and provided amazing service, especially to my 9 year old niece. I was so happy with the experience that I brought my mom in the next day so she could get some permanent jewellery too. Nawal helped her curate a set of anklets, a bracelet, and a custom necklace with birthstone pendant, all permanent, and all solid gold. My mom and I had so much fun that I bit the bullet and got another piece as well. We've looked around Ottawa for good options for permanent jewellery, but didn't find as many options for solid gold, as we did with Magpie. If you're in the market for permanent jewellery, I highly recommend Magpie. Ask for Nawal! She'll keep you laughing, all while getting a piece of jewellery you'll absolutely love.

La Maison Monaco (Rideau Centre)…read more I went shopping at La Maison Monaco (Rideau Centre) with my girlfriend. Our intention was to buy high-end matching watches. Although I wasn't dressed-up looking like a millionaire, I did have comfortable and clean clothes on. Does anybody know what clothes a millionaire wears? The first sales lady who saw me refused to serve us. I heard her angrily and loudly say to the other sales people, "I'm not going to serve him. He doesn't look like he can afford anything expensive here. I'm not going to waste my time for nothing." Eventually, another sales person helped us out. This guy hid his name tag and proceeded to insult me by saying, "You're wasting my time with stupid questions!" Totally shocked, my wife and I quietly walked out of this store. A short time later, we bought matching watches at a competitor's store spending well over $10,000.00 on our purchases. Sorry, if you felt that I had wasted your time. I don't buy a watch for over $5,000.00 like I'm ordering dinner at some fast food restaurant. People like this shouldn't be in sales if they can't treat their potential customers respectfully and compassionately. Given my unpleasant experience, I can't recommend La Maison Monaco.

They told me my ring was waiting for me at the store. ...I drove to the store to pick up my ring, it was 1/2 size to small . The Manager said it was probably because my finger was swollen. I insisted on sending it back to have it size again to the size I had demanded the ring to be in the first place. Also telling him I didn't want to wait an other two weeks for them to fix they're mistake . It has now been three weeks, I have called and called but no answer on the phone. Finally yesterday the Manager himself answered, but telling me my ring isn't back yet. He said he would make a couple calls and call me right back. He never did. I am so disappointed in the Customer service I have received with this new Management. Still waiting for my ring.

As soon as you came into the store, there is a sign that asks you to sign your name on their list so that they can better serve you on a first come first serve basis. Myself and another customer signed our names while a few others just walked in to browse. The staff were all busy with other customers. But once the staff were done with the customers, no one checked the list. They should either let customers wait at the counters (which is usually what I do) or actually look at the list and call out the names of people waiting to be served. The sales person was very helpful but the time it took for someone to come help us was unsatisfactory.

Eventually, we were able to catch someone, and she was helpful, but it shouldn't be that difficult to find someone to sell you something.

I went to countless jewellery stores and was always told "the features are too complicated and it doesn't warrant the design." This all changed when I met Mathew. He was open and willing to take on the challenge of building the perfect ring. I described to him the meaning of the ring. I even went as far as trying to figure out how many twists the bands would have and the number of diamonds on the band, in order to be symbolic of our relationship. Mathew asked me why I had chosen a specific style and feature. So I described that the band was to be simple yet stunning, like my partner. The center stone was to represent her heart and I wanted it to be as big and clear as possible. Together we went through multiple design stages. For example, changing the diamond sizes on the twist in order to make it look nicer. When it came to choosing the center stone, Mathew knew exactly what I was after. He told me that it would take time, but he was willing to bring in diamonds to show me, until we found the perfect one. Never once did he pressure me into choosing a specific stone. He told me to be patient and that when the moment came, I would know I had found the perfect diamond. Well the day came. Mathew presented me with the final stone, and he was right, I knew it was the one for the ring. He agreed that it matched my description perfectly. The ring design was completed next and high quality photos were given to me for approval. I once again decided to make changes to the ring. This time adding each of our initials and birth stones to the side of the ring. Mathew agreed it was a very nice touch to the ring. When all was said and done, the final ring came out better then I had ever expected. Mathew said the reaction on my face was priceless. He felt the ring was exactly what I had envisioned for my partner. All this to say, Dixon Jewelers allowed me to come up with exactly what I felt my partner deserved in order to reflect who she is. Dixon Jewelers accepted the challenge and was fully supportive through this LONGER than normal process (only due to my changes :) ). Just a statement to say how satisfied we are. My son is travelling from country to country. He…read morewanted to propose and asked me to help him find the right ring. The problem is he knows exactly what she will like. After visiting some places in Canada, online and in Barcelona and France where he was, he decided he will give her a custom ring. It was an other level, I went to all stores, sometimes it was the price sometimes it was something else. I went to the internet and found the name of David Congers. I called him, a very calm, confident voice. I felt that he really wanted to help me and knew what he was talking about. The problem is that during the pandemic, he closed his store and was working from home. The first time I went to his house, he was scared of me and I was scared of him. Showing diamond in a garage was not to reassure me. My phone died and I asked him if I could charge it inside his house, I could feel that he was not confortable to let me in. To make a story short, I showed him a model. He showed me a diamond that my son was thrilled about. We discussed prices and settled. When the time comes to deliver we went to a mall. Again, we were both scared of each other. I had to make sure that the number on the diamond was right and he did not want to give me the diamond until he received the money on his account. Besides that lack of confidence on both sides, it was a great experience. The ring was wonderful, both my son and my future daughter in law are so happy about it. The size, everything was exactly they way the wanted. I really recommend David Congers for his patient. He is working from home but he is honest and direct. Thanks again David.
