For a small town, there are tons of donations to this place, which is really cool. You can find some pretty interesting items here that make your mouth drop and so you cannot walk out with out it! A certain brand of feminine hygiene products say they want you to have a happy period. The women…read moreat Party in My Pants mean it. They make reusable pads for women who want an alternative to disposable products. Some of the arguments against disposable products are that they are made by companies that test on animals, they contribute to landfill waste, and they are made with substances that are toxic to both women and the earth. There are some disposables that are made with organic cotton, and some that are plastic-free, but are made in Germany, which undermines the eco-friendliness of the products. Party in My Pants pads are made by hand in Wisconsin, making them a much more local choice than other better-known makers of reusable pads located on the West Coast or in Canada. Party in my Pants pads are made of comfortable cotton flannel (organic cotton pads are available) backed with a breathable nylon shield that protects clothes. The all-in-one design of Party in My Pants pads makes them much thinner than other types of reusable pads that require holders and (sometimes multiple) inserts. The "party" in Party in My Pants pads comes from the bright colors and eclectic patterns that the pads come in. While reusable pads are a bigger initial investment than disposables, they last an estimated five to seven years, saving money in the long term. A questionnaire on the Party in My Pants website helps customers find out how many pads they will need, and gives an estimate of the money that can be saved by using reusable pads. Ordering is easy, secure, and shipment is quick. Those who prefer to purchase their pads in person can find Party in My Pants pads at Merz Apothecary at Macy's on State St., Ethical Planet in Evanston, Chicago Women's Health Center on Sheffield, and Women & Children First. While switching to reusable pads requires some adjustment, it's minor compared to many of the other changes people make in order to reduce environmental impact. Ladies, it's time to walk it like you talk it.
