They also shared that the employee helping me was in her first week, which gave helpful context to the situation. As a kind gesture, they sent me a $10 gift card, which I thought was very thoughtful. When I came back in to use it, they recognized my name from the situation and took the time to talk with me in person and explain everything again. That really meant a lot and showed how much they care about their customers. Customer service and communication go a long way, and I'm grateful for the way they handled everything. I'm looking forward to continuing to support them. Old review: Melby's has really great drinks and the atmosphere is honestly one of the reasons I keep going back. It's a cozy spot and the coffee itself is consistently good. That said, the customer service can be hit or miss. The employees often come across as a bit unpleasant, which takes away from the experience. One thing that's especially frustrating is their refusal to allow personal cups. Almost every other coffee shop I visit is happy to accommodate this, and it doesn't require much effort, many places simply set the cup on the counter and pour the drink without even touching it. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference for customers who are trying to reduce waste or just prefer using their own cup. I really do like Melby's drinks and vibe, but improving the customer service and being a little more flexible with simple requests like personal cups would make the experience much better.

He set up me up with a fitting with Ray a few days later. The fitting made a world of difference and I felt like I had a new bike! I had to change saddles a week later and knew it was off just a bit. I stopped in on a ride and Ray spent another few minutes to make sure it was positioned correctly. While the bike business is booming they always seem to make time to answer a question or two or help out when needed. Keep in mind I'm riding a 10 year old bike so I'm not in there throwing money around to get service. It's just what they do. It's great when you find a business that goes the extra mile these days and they do it with a smile and professionalism not always found these days.

The shop failed to mention that the new system would disable this safety feature, and we only discovered the hazard when a friend pointed it out. When we reached out to rectify this, the shop was unwilling to help. Other mechanics have since confirmed the entire system must be replaced again to restore the lights. The space is roomy with couches in the back, and plenty of people were working or studying, so it has a relaxed, productive vibe. I tried their lavender latte, oat milk latte (extra hot), and of course their drip coffee because you cannot judge a coffee shop without trying the drip. The drip was excellent, rich, well balanced, and tasted very fresh, clearly brewed fresh. The latte was just as good, creamy with proper foam and a smooth lavender flavor that did not overpower the coffee. The only small hiccup was that we were told the drinks would be brought to our table, but after waiting a bit I went up to grab them myself. I may have misheard, so it was not a big deal. Overall a great experience, comfortable atmosphere, plenty of seating, and genuinely solid coffee. I stopped in after lunch this time but will definitely be back to try their food next time.
