Terry is the owner, and he is very nice, very professional, and most importantly an excellent craftsman and artist. He not only worked with me to design my ring, (and it was a pretty complicated design requiring laser cutting on the side, and the acquisition of a pretty unusual gem), he went out of his way to educate me and genuinely listened to my wants and was as excited as I was with the final results. He doesn't just do this for a living, he loves what he does and his work shows it. He was up front about costs and helped work within my budget respectfully and honestly, (other businesses have been condescending when asked about pricing details). I would absolutely recommend coming to take a look at the gold jewelry he has on display, but I would especially recommend him if you are looking to get something custom made. He is honest, provides excellent quality, and will listen to what YOU want done and make sure that it is right. Thanks Terry, you're the best!

I brought in my vintage wedding set for sizing (that was a huge mess because of 2 different…read moreprevious jewelers). I really didn't think it could be fixed but I was wrong. This was my grandmother's originally and is nearly 70 years old. The prongs were blobs of gold barely holding in the diamonds, the rings were soldered together crooked & it was slightly too small. I can't overstate how PERFECT my wedding set came back. The jeweler made them look literally brand new. I'm blown away by the excellence of the work done on them. He also sized my newer engagement ring after another jeweler had sized it way too big. It also looks brand new again. I want to mention that all 3 shanks on these rings have a lot more gold than when I brought them. That is something that I have *never* had happen w/ other jewelers before. The price for all 3 rings was around $260. I paid almost $200 to get my newer engagement ring sized ONLY (and it was the wrong size!) by a different jeweler in Grass Valley who shall not be named but beware of the "S" jeweler in GV. I had a quote to fix only the prongs on the vintage set & it was $75 per crown, which would have been $600. I wasn't even charged separately for the prong repair by Utopian Stone. Also, Diane (co owner) and I talked for a long time while she checked out a ring I wanted looked at, and she showed me all kinds of great stones and jewelry. We had a great time & I really enjoyed our convo. They are the best in Nevada County hands down. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you for fixing my rings! I haven't been able to wear the wedding set for over 10 years, and I'm thrilled. I cannot say enough about the quality of this work. I will be back!!
