My husband and I have eaten here twice in the last 6 weeks. Both times on a Sunday. I love that they have a veggie club sandwich as I don't eat meat or fish. It is really half of a club (2 quarters) and comes with a salad. You can get fries if you prefer. The clam chowder is absolutely delicious, don't miss out on that! My husband had the lobster club which was great, same thing 2 quarters so really a half. The calamari was OK, but not great so he would not order that again. There are a couple of tables to sit on and a few benches along the walk, or you can sit in your car. If you are hungry please stop and order lunch!

Moonraker Mobile was the perfect post-hike snack stop in Pacifica! We tried the clam chowder and the fries. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious and had a ton of clams and crab all throughout. We ordered a large but it was smaller than we expected. The fries were perfectly crispy and flavorful with the rosemary they put on it. If you were to order a full meal here, the fries would be plenty to share between two people. We would definitely stop by here again in the future!

I only got their duck fat fries. I feel like the fries used to taste better a few years back. They're still crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, but I don't think frying it in duck fat added any extra flavor. The menu has rosemary added as an ingredient in the fries but I couldn't taste or see any rosemary pieces, only bits of chives. I tasted truffle oil on my first bite, but then they just tasted like plain old fries on subsequent bites. You don't even smell the truffle oil really. Fries come with ketchup and a remoulade. It's a decent serving for the price, but the description is a bit more exciting than the taste.

The fish and chips were standard U.S. fish and chips. Not yummy and fresh like the U.K. While it was fried fine, the cod was dry like a lot of other fish and chips. I can't remember anything special about their fries. I appreciate The Moonraker food truck packing the compostable to-go box with a variety of condiments: tartar sauce, ketchup, lemon wedge, and some kind of mustard. I appreciated something salty in the middle of the ice cream festival at the Spark Social SF food truck space, but it's not something I would get again.

Yooooo, I got the clam chowder and every spoonful has clam. That's rare but so good. Must get every time when you stop by.

3.5/5 The truck was next to my building today and I decided to try it. We ordered crispy calamari, lobster club sandwich and fish and chips. Our favorite from all was the lobster sandwich. Not an overpowering lobster taste, really mild and with the sauce that was coming next to it, it was delicious! The fish and chips were ok, perhaps the batter was too thick, but the cod tasted good. The crispy calamari were also ok, perhaps could be a bit more tender but the battered layer was definitely thinner. The duck fat truffle fries were tasting ok, I couldn't barely taste the truffle nor the duck fat, but they were crispy. For a seafood truck, I can say food was not bad!

Stumbled here after a difficult hike. Decided on the fish and chips. Perhaps it was fatigue and hunger or perhaps it was the light and crispy breaded fish over a hot bed of fries, but I really enjoyed it all. The fries were fresh and well seasoned. The fish was flaky and moist, almost to the point where it fell apart in my hand. It could have benefitted from more seasoning, perhaps seasoning in the batter itself. Made for a great post hike meal with a nice view and cool ocean breeze.

This review is for the Main Lobster Club sandwich. Sandwich was very small and filling was scarce (mostly bread, which was also dry).

I've been having such terrible luck with Mexican restaurants lately, so I decided to give this food…read moretruck a try. I ordered the tostadas de ceviche, shrimp tacos, and quesabirria tacos. Based on some other reviewers claiming they were overcharged, I paid close attention to the total. In my case, I was not overcharged. The prices listed at the time of my visit were $13.75 for the tostadas de ceviche, $6 each for the shrimp tacos, and $4.50 each for the quesabirria tacos. The tax charged also appeared consistent with the expected 9.25%. Unfortunately, my experience raised some serious food-handling concerns. The first thing that caught my attention happened before I even received my food. I watched the woman who took my order step out of the food truck, walk over to a pickup truck, and retrieve something from the back. I couldn't clearly see what she was getting because she seemed to make an effort to keep it out of my view. She used her apron almost like a bag to cover whatever she had picked up before returning to the food truck. She then looked at me and smirked as she walked back inside. Almost immediately afterward, I heard her and the cook begin preparing the food, including seasoning the birria and shrimp on the grill. I obviously can't say exactly what she retrieved or how it had been stored, but seeing seafood apparently being brought in from the bed of a pickup truck was concerning. Seafood needs to be kept at proper refrigerated temperatures, and from what I could observe, I had no way of knowing whether the product had been properly temperature-controlled. Even if it was in a cooler, I would still have concerns about whether the proper temperature had been maintained. Another issue was the handling of money and food. The same person collecting payment was also preparing the food. When I paid with cash, I could see pieces of cilantro and onion still on her hands while she handled the money. Watching someone go directly from handling cash to preparing food without an apparent handwashing or glove change was disturbing and, at minimum, gave me serious concerns about sanitation. As far as the atmosphere goes, this is a food truck, so expectations should obviously be different from a traditional restaurant. The operating truck is parked on the street, while there appear to be two additional food trucks stationed on an adjacent property. That property appears to be a stationary setup rather than trucks parked along the street. There was also one picnic table with an umbrella where customers could sit and eat, which was a nice option if you want to eat there. Now, despite all of those concerns, I had paid more than $40 for the food, so I ate it, and this is where things get complicated. The ceviche was phenomenal. Honestly, I've never had ceviche this good. The flavors and textures were better than anything similar I've eaten recently. The tostadas had an excellent crunch, and the ratio of ceviche to tortilla was perfect. There was enough topping on each tostada that I could get a little bit of everything in every bite. Based strictly on the ceviche, I would absolutely return. The shrimp tacos, on the other hand, were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't particularly memorable either. The bell peppers mixed into the shrimp threw off the flavor balance for me. I think the tacos would be better without them, or at least with less of them. The quesabirria was also just okay. I've had better elsewhere, and I was charged extra for the consommé, which was something to keep in mind. So overall, I have very mixed feelings about this place. The ceviche alone was good enough that I'd want to come back, but the food-handling and sanitation concerns I witnessed would make me think twice. The food itself has some real potential, particularly the ceviche, but I'd like to see more attention paid to food handling, temperature control, and basic sanitation practices before I could feel comfortable recommending the place without reservations.

The burrito was hefty, and everything was good! The quesabirria shells seemed to hold up their crisp better than many others I've tried. Our food came out pretty fast as well. They have a few tables in front of their truck in the parking lot, and there are bathrooms inside the shopping area for convenience. A great lunch option if you're in the area. Some of the hot dishes can take a bit longer, but it's clearly freshly fried and always delicious so it's worth the minor wait. Lots of picnic benches in front of the food truck. Chicharron is chunks of crispy fried pork belly - great when you want some fatty porky indulgence. The red onions pair perfectly to cut through the richness, and the Peruvian corn nuts are a fun addition! Pollo Peruana is stewed chicken thighs. Tender and fell off the bone, but could've used a bit more salt. Still tasty with a nice side salad. Lechonada peruana is stewed pork belly chunks. Fatty juicy tender, and the pork comes on a bed of saucy fries for extra heft. I like to get it with extra salad instead of rice. Super good. I really need to come by on a weekend to try the anticuchos!
