We had the best supper club experience at Moonlight Tavern! We went as a group of 12 on a Saturday, but we made sure to make reservations ahead of time earlier that week, which they recommend for weekends. FYI: If you are visiting the area and have a large group, this is one of the few places around to take reservations!! The cocktails here are a must! Many of us started with Old Fashioned's just how we like them. Others tried bourbon from their extensive list, other specialty cocktails, and the dessert cocktails. Our server, Trish, did a fantastic job taking care of us all night. The ownership changed about a year ago, and we had the opportunity to meet the owner when he brought complimentary bourbon & brandy tastings to our table. I would recommend eating here to anyone local or visiting.

Located in the newly re-opened Port Hotel, this is a great option for a nice meal in Port Washington. I've been here twice now, once was soon after Moonlight Tavern opened and only had their appetizer menu available. The next visit was for a full dinner in the dining room. Both times I loved everything I tried. This chef makes fantastic sauces. Yes, this is a pricier establishment but you can also get a great meal for a reasonable price. My mom got the king Louie salad and it was massive with a ton of crab, avocado and two eggs. My brother had the steak sandwich which had a generous portion of steak. I enjoyed the crab cakes for my meal. They were full of crab (minimal filler) and the red pepper sauce was an amazing compliment. Both of my visits, we ordered the goat cheese curds and calamari. Both times they were delicious. Again, the sauces really elevating the dish to the next level. The only complaint was my sisters wedge salad came on a plate that was not easy to eat from.

This tavern is under new management. They opened for lunch on a Saturday, and we were the first ones through the door. Needless to say, we had our choice of seating. This quaint little bar/restaurant is tastefully decorated. The menu offers many favorites and some unique items. They do a Friday fish fry. As for me, I ordered the moonlight grinder. This is an herb focaccia roll, ham, pepperoni, prosciutto, shredded lettuce, red onion, sundried tomato pepper jam, mayo, an Italian dressing, parm & mozzarella cheese. The cost is $19.00. The roll was soft and obviously fresh. They use quality ingredients in this sandwich. What really made this sandwich pop was the sundried tomato pepper jam. It added a sweet savory kick. I enjoyed this meal with a nice IPA draft beer. This is a place I will stop in at when in town again. FYI: They will be offering a Mother's Day brunch that will be a real treat for mom.

This is a picture of a drink, a Manhattan on the left and a menu on the right showing the Moonlight Tavern's liquors.

First, let's discuss what a great presence Austin is at the bar. Warm, friendly and a great mixer of drinks. He might have a heart of gold for never calling our horsehockey. He'll probably exhibit it again for not calling yours ;) The drinks here are excellent. I was lucky enough to enjoy several of the best Manhattans I've ever consumed. My better half enjoyed several libations from the special's board and all were thoroughly enjoyed. We really enjoyed eating at this establishment. Chef Lisa took all allergies (wheat/egg) into account and delivered great meals. This is high-end food, prepared fresh, in portions large enough to fill, but often not requiring a doggy bag. Poor doggy!! No leftovers for you sweetie. Our seafood tasted fresh and the fish fry hit the spot. The steaks were cooked perfectly. The cauliflower mashed is tremendous, the asparagus if available should be ordered. We look forward to visiting again should we ever be in the area.

St. Paul Fish Market is located inside the very busy and popular Milwaukee Public Market indoor shopping complex downtown. It reminds me of the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle. The only parking option that I am aware of is metered street parking. The building has 2 levels but the 1st floor is where most of the business are. It appeared to me that St. Paul's is the most popular business there. It is a seafood restaurant and fresh fish market. They have a small sit down area for table service dining or you can order your food to go at the counter. After being seated and reviewing the menu I decided to order the same meal I had over 11 years ago. I went with a bowl of clam chowder for $8 to start and then added a fried grouper sandwich ($16) with french fries for another $2.50. The chowder was perfect. Flavorful, delicious and I wanted more (5). The sandwich also was delicious and satisfying made with quality fish, lettuce, tomato, and bread. However while it tasted very good halfway through eating it the bread bun started to disintegrate and then quickly turned to mush before I could finish. Then I needed a fork to finish it. It got messy and I don't like that in a sandwich. It's only for that reason I give an overall 4 score instead of a 5. The french fries were very good tasting too but I had ordered too much food and only had room for a few of them. The table service was very warm and friendly. I believe St. Paul's is a very good choice for a casual seafood meal but please buy more sturdy buns!

With a lot of variety and friendly service, this definitely is a great go-to place. My Mom and I came here for a light dinner and ordered the crab cake and mussels appetizers as our entrees. Thinking that wouldn't be enough food, we added the arugula beet salad. Everything came out pretty quickly, and the mussels portion and salad were enormous. Each dish was excellent. The mussels, a recommendation by our helpful server, were especially good - the mussels were cooked perfectly, without an unopened mussel in the bunch, and the white wine-garlic-fennel broth was seasoned well and had the classic flavor I was hoping for. The only miss was that the bread provided was only barely toasted and a little chewy. The salad was a wonderful surprise: dressed properly with a nice vinaigrette, it had toasted pepitas, creamy goat cheese, fennel, and beets that were not overly earthy. My Mom enjoyed her crab cakes, which had a bit of a spicy kick. I wanted a little dessert and chose their Door County cherry ice cream. I would strongly recommend leaving room for it. It had a fantastic, creamy texture, tasting homemade. The ice cream itself had a natural flavor of almonds with a hint of cherry, was studded with dark chocolate and cherry pieces, and topped with a cute fish-shaped cookie. One of the best ice creams I've had. Like the food portions, it came as three big scoops, so it's good for sharing. The atmosphere is casual and fun, though be prepared for a pretty high noise level when it's full - not from music, but from everyone having a great time with friends and family. I'd recommend getting a reservation, and they're conveniently on OpenTable.

Cozy atmosphere and solid customer service, definitely in the right place. We arrived with a veteran couple. They got us there early, understood the ordering routine and found us a place to sit. We ordered appetizers and drinks. Definitely get the onion rings as they are incredible! Drinks were solidly poured and reasonably priced. We ordered and were surprised by how quickly we were seated. The vegetable tray and bread basket were good. Our meals came out shortly after we were seated. The salads were nice sized and the blue cheese dressing with crumbles was great. Our entrees (ribeye, tenderloin with chicken, prime rib and fish) were all sized nicely and prepared as ordered. My dining partner said the chicken was some of their all-time favorite. My ribeye was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Our dining partners loved their choices. Overall, I'd really like to give 4.5 stars, but my pals at Yelp still don't trust half stars. We arrived early and were told seating begins ad 5:00 if you would like to go to the bar.... Went to the bar and had a martini and a glass of wine. Well we knew it was not going to be cheap but I was a bit floored by the tab of $45 with tip and a charge for using a credit card. We were taken to our table which was at the back of the restaurant with a beautiful view and relatively quiet... perfect. Put our orders in with a very nice waitress: Me: 3 Oysters, Caesar salad, Lobster Tails Glass of wine Wife: Chopped Salad, LobsterTails, wine BTW. I love to have wine with a meal and enjoy it by the bottle. However in looking at their Wine Book they essentially triple the cost of a bottle. So to have a bottle of champagne was going to put us out over $150 .... for a cheap one. It was offered by the glass for $28. Bread was very good but with cold butter. Hate that. Chopped salad got a very high mark from a salad critic (wife) and my Caesar not so much. Get the one at Cooper's Hawk. for a comparison. The Lobster was great. $74 seems a lot until you go out and but anything comparable. The serving was generous and well prepared. A complimentary desert was offered and it was Chocolate and Hazelnut. VERY highly recommended. My mind had been set on Key Lime Pie so we had that too. Bottom line: $45 bar + $264 dinner+ $61 tip +$10 parking = $380 Would we do it again. Maybe but it was expensive. Oh I forgot there was a $5 charge for using my credit card. Good Grief!!
