We didn't realize this, but it was 2pm when we got there. As is the norm, we went immediately to the buffet and loaded up our first round (you know, the "little bit of everything" plate) and then, as we were getting up to go for seconds, we were told that the buffet would be closing soon (15 minute warning) so of course we got our seconds (aka, the "I know what I want" plate). We also took advantage of the warning and grabbed our desserts early from the well-lit dessert bar! Hello gulab jamun! The restaurant was buzzing the entire time we were then, even when it was about to close between services. The staff kept checking in on us, making it feel like a full service restaurant, and not just a buffet. Love this place!

You have to tell the server that is what you are ordering as it is not advertised on the restaurant's menu that is provided. It is only advertised on the online menu. We ordered fries, naan, mango lassi, butter chicken lunch combo and lamb curry combo. Fries arrived pipping hot and crispy. Our child loved it. Naan was alright. It could be fluffier. The dosa was the star. The dosa was crispy, tangy and savoury. It paired nicely with the lamb curry. Lamb curry had a few pieces of lamb. There was a level of spicy heat. The lentils had some heat as well. Rice was good to finish up the meal after the dosa was eaten up. There was dessert too but I was not sure what I was eating. It was sweet and orange in colour. It was nice that it was included for the price. Mango lassi was creamy. Service was fast. No complaints on the service. Food tasted great. Prices for the lunch combos were reasonable and allowed us to try a number of items. There was plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.

Amongst the white trash and red necks , there's a little piece of authentic India. Excellent food at excellent prices and awesome staff. The only downside is there is absolutely no atmosphere. It's not homey, it's not quaint, it's not really decorated much at all. its tables, arranged in no particular order, with chairs and plain table cloths. there's not much of anything on the walls, not even an obligatory Ganesha picture or other deity-type poster. Oddly, there are a couple of big screen tv's on the walls - generally tuned to whatever sports game happens to be on. But whatever, when i go to a restaurant, i'm there for the food first, and the atmosphere second. And for delicious Indian food in Langley, i'll put up with big screens and a lack of decor. Just don't take your SO there to propose - you might end up wearing your butter chicken.

Restaurant was not that busy when we stopped by shortly after the dinner service started. Price was reasonable at $24 a person. Food selection was decent. However, the food temperature was not hot enough for my liking and was only slightly warm for many of the items. Also, we had to ask for roti as it was not automatically offered. The roti arrived pipping hot. My favourite items were the gulab jamun and kheer as both were served in the appropriate temperatures. The gulab jamun was served warm and the kheer served chilled. The chicken was lightly smokey and a little charred and extremely juicy and tender, the kathi rolls were flawless, and the filling and the sauces brought everything together with the chutney being that last chef's kiss to round it all up.
