Communication ,honesty and Integrity is a good start. I requested a regular massage 45 minutes. I undressed. Waiting for my masseuse. The clock on the showed 6:55. She walked out at 7:35 pm. I came here for a massage. I tucked the towel to cover my butt when she brought the towel down very low. When I fixed it to my comfort she actually yelled at me saying " No no no It's fine!" Mhmmmmmm- it's my body. If I don't feel comfortable then it's not fine........ The actual massage did feel good but my body didn't release much tension which I think says something about the energy of the massage. I am very terrible at math. Can't do anything in my head at all. Seriously any. I had a $40 massage and I was going back and forth like is $5 a good percentage tip, is $10, I realized I was messing up my massage by worrying so I went with $5. She asked me what to charge and I said $45. She said "No, $50" and pointed to the price of the $50 massage. I thought she was saying that I got the $50 massage but when I asked for the massage I pointed to the $40 for sure. I said the massage is $40 and your tip is $5. This went back and forth for awhile until she laughed at me immediately angered and yelled something in a different language to whoever was in the store. I felt so weird so I was in between okay that might not be enough and also damn I've never had someone be angry at me and laugh at me for the tip they received. I went to my truck and calculated the tip and realized $5 was very low. But she laughed at me and now I'm adding to my tip because she laughed at me and got pissed? I got $3 in cash and brought it back to her. She was very angry to see me again. I handed her the three dollars and she yelled in another language again to whoever was in the store. I did not mean to give her a lousy tip, just need to calculate before I go into a service so I don't have to think about it so much but I still have never had someone angry at me face to face for the tip I give and actual laughing at me. It felt like being bullied by the popular girl at school. I'm embarrassed I tipped low but also want to feel safe where I go and I've really only met humans who are appreciative of the tip I give even if it's not exactly what they want. I received a gift certificate as a birthday gift for a deep tissue massage (90 minutes valued @ $110). I was excited to go and receive my massage however let's first start off by the location this spa is oddly located in an industrial area. The place itself is quite nice though. The massage went ok up until the end. I kindly handed the masseuse a tip $15 to be exact and said thank you since I thought she did an ok job not the best however I was appalled by her response after she counted the tip didn't even say thank you but said "ma'am this is not enough do you have $5 more dollars, we actually only do 20% tip!" I responded with is that your policy or is it a new law I missed? She said no we prefer 20% so I said this was a birthday gift & you just ruined it. I won't be returning and would definitely not recommend this place of business to anyone. The fact that they demand a 20% tip is outrageous. I called ahead and was told they could see me immediately, which worked out great. I was greeted with a warm smile and when I changed and out my phone down in my purse the time was 12:37. I requested a deep tissue for 45 mins for just my back and legs it was just okay, some areas she applied so much pressure on spine and shoulder blades using her forearms and elbows she finally stopped thankfully everything else was fine she mainly focused on my back and barely got to my legs she never massaged my quads or even had me turn around unfortunately. When she was finished I got dressed and looked at my phone and the time was 1:12 she was waiting for me when I got out and said they prefer cash and require a tip. The total was $60 and I gave her a $10 she then points to a sign and says we have a minimum tip requirement of 25% !!!!!!!!! I'm sorry but that is insane!!! I called Moon Spa and they were able to get me in today for a 90 minute massage. The location is quiet and massage was wonderful. Vicky gave me a massage and it was outstanding. I get massages frequently so I judge them quite a bit. Pressure and technique was great. Able to work some knots out while also being very relaxing. Definitely plan on coming back soon. Vicky and Celine were very professional! They give really good deep tissue massages. My neck and shoulders tense up a lot and I've tried menthol patches, tiger balm....and none worked as good as a good old massage. My shoulder would be in pain for weeks and a 45 min session made me feel alive again. They are very good with request to work on specific area as long as you tell them. The place is quiet, clean and relaxing. Pricing is cheap compared to other massage place in town and I think they deserve every penny of their tip! I don't normally post negative reviews but felt I needed to share. Made an appointment. Massage started a few minutes late because the therapist was giving the other therapist a massage. When my massage started, my therapist kept walking out of the room when she would hear the door alert. Then her and the other massage therapist were talking to each other through my door. Then the other therapist would have a question, so she would just walk into the room without knocking. My therapist would walk out to answer question. Then my massage therapist left me to go start another client. I was handed over to someone who didn't know where my massage left off. Then when you are ready to pay you have to tip a minimum of 25%. Hands down the worst experience ever! I walked in and was greeted with a surprise look, I asked for a 90 min massage. She walked me to the room and made a phone call. Then said okay 5 min. She set me up and started the massage. Then the doorbell goes off, very loud chimes, 5 different loud noises. Then she leaves. A new person comes in. Then, a few different times, someone comes in the room to talk to her. And mind you every time the door opens that same loud 5 chimed doorbell goes off. I counted the door opening 6 separate times, making it extremely hard to relax, then to top it off... She took a phone call in the middle of my massage!!! I'm simply mindblown at this, I wanted to walk out! I told her how displeased I was with this service and the chimes. No apology, just that business is business. Wow, just wow!
