I've been attending the last few years, but I only go on the first night, and I know on that night, they offer a few beer options for around $5 so that you can "sip and shop" as you stroll through the aisles. Sometimes it's crowded, especially since the space isn't huge. However, it's a happy atmosphere, you get to support small local businesses, and the prices can't be beat. I always leave with at least one or two items. Because it's so centrally located, it's great to explore the rest of downtown Ballard afterwards!

I literally fell in love at first sip…read more A friend had been anxious to get me to visit Lenox with her and when she sent me the notification that Bonhomie was doing a pop up there, it was an immediate hell yeah from me. When I arrived at Lenox, you simply walked up and ordered your coffee before being sat at a table. There were visible menus for the coffee options and it was easy to order. I went with the Haitian Mocha Latte and it absolutely was everything I want my coffee to be. The first sip was smooth and bold at the same time: deep, slightly earthy Haitian coffee layered with a mellow chocolate note that didn't overpower, just quietly lingered. The brown sugar softened everything, adding this warm, almost caramel-like sweetness that wrapped around the espresso instead of sitting on top of it. I don't typically get iced coffees often because I don't want my coffee watered down, but even the ice didn't stand a chance of messing up this golden cup of delight. The latte remained silky throughout the entire drinking experience. It tasted like a slow moment in the middle of a busy day--cool, comforting, and just a little bit luxurious. I can't wait to come back!

I didn't bother mentioning this at pick up because it didn't seem like the worker was also the cake person. The cake itself was a tad dry but light and airy. For the price I paid, I was disappointed by the outcome. Even if it was due to additional cake orders due to mother's day, I do expect better than this when I buy a cake from a local bakery. Also if you like crispy croissants, I do not recommend the Sichuan pepper cruffin. It was tasty but it didn't have the crisp that you'd expect from a bakery.
