They even allowed me to make a food purchase prior to the movie and it was placed in my seat when I got there. We bought lots of snacks for the girls to eat. I've been to a few other than the Pearland location and I can say there is nothing fancy about Premiere. You're not going to get massive theaters with the latest technology, atleast not at this location. This location is located in what I call middle Pearland. It's situated smack dab in the middle of a strip of businesses. It's the closest movie theater to me which makes even more appealing to me. Customer service has always been good for me. There are only six theaters here so usually they play the latest movies to come out. The theaters vary in size. You're not going to get stadium seating here. Just one, flat level of seating. They recently did some remodeling, so there are very comfortable, reclining seats. The sound is what you would expect in a theater like this. You may even hear the movie next door. I do like the concessions here. They have self serve popcorn which is a game changer for me. It always seems fresh to me. The benefits of self serve is that you can butter your popcorn in layers. The soda and icee fountains are self serve as well. As far as I know, refills are included in all that stuff. You also have your typical candy, nachos, and hots dogs as well. Manage your expectations here and you will have a good experience. You can't beat the prices here, and if you're a movie buff like me, that means alot. I will be back.

That is until recently when a group of friends and I wanted to do something out of our norm and check out something new to all of us. Introducing the Houston Sabercats, Houston's major league rugby team. The stadium is located right off 288 south of the loop, and right before entering entering into Pearland city limits. I drive by and see the signs daily coming and going from work, but never saw the stadium up close. Truth be told, I wasn't expecting a crowd but was totally surprised driving up and seeing a packed lot with people tailgating. Let me tell you, the fan base was very diverse from young and old and they supported their team proudly. Excitement was in the air which pumped me up as well. Ticket prices were reasonable considering there really isn't a bad seat in the house. There's all kinds of stuff happening in and around the stadium. They have different vendors selling merch, food, and drinks. Platypus Brewing had their own set up right when you walk in, but they also had little tents popped up around selling different food and drinks. There was also another area selling liquor. Merch was pretty spendy, but people were buying them up. The game itself was very fun to watch. I still have alot to learn as far as the rules goes. I would compare it to football, but alot tougher as these guys are going at it with little to no padding. Rugby is something I think I can get behind and I will for sure be back to check it out again.

The game itself was entertaining & our team tore our opponents to pieces. They had a good amount of pop up tents/vendors selling variety of stuff. They had a beer table, snacks, lemonade stand, alcohol stand. & if you want your ball park food they also have a concession stand. The lines moved very fast but they were out of a lot of items. I wanted a hot dog but they were out of it so I ordered their cheeseburger. Which I thought tasted okay. My favorite was their lemonade stand. For 3 dollars a cup I thought that was pretty cheap considering everything is expensive at the ball park. They do have a good amount of parking but it's definitely a hassle and chaotic when everyone is exiting the parking lot. Parking is 15 bucks which is ridiculous for a rugby game but you gotta make money so I ain't mad at it. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to come back for another game. You wanna avoid the chaos parking? Take uber.

It's hard to review this venue in simple verbiage. I need to get past the…read more "OMG OMG Happy Puppy Dance Dude it was sick!" sort of catch phrase review. It's important to get this review right, as it's so important. Important because the event and intent is so special, so unique, and the way it's executed is so professional, yet intimate at the same time. What it is- Mona Cabler and James Adams open their hearts and their home (along with others) once a month, and invite all to come hear quality top shelf music performers up close, while enjoying a down to earth meal. All this in a casual setting with a bunch of laid back folks. This is all accomplished for a suggested donation of 35 bucks. Why it is- These folks have made it their Godly mission to help support local vetted charities, and every single dime over actual costs goes right back out. They don't keep a dime. Who it is- My wife and I have had the chance to see Hamilton Loomis, Shake Russell, and most recently Lisa Morales. Talent like this playing three feet away from you really does make an impression. They have all kinds of musical styles showcased over the year. Pick what fits. The event has all the feel of a back yard bar-be-que, blended with a bring a dish social, and a good ole neighborhood get-together. At the same time, you get to be pampered by the organizers, and the chance to meet some new friends. These folks really work HARD to serve you. This is a true calling. Go to their website- Check out who's coming. Make a commitment. This unique combination of entertainment, socializing, eating, and just plain having fun, all in the name of a good cause, stands alone, and I can't recommend it any stronger, so 5 stars it is. http://pearlandhouseconcerts.com/ David and Joy

I tend to forget about this venue as it is sandwiched between NRG Stadium and the Astrodome. NRG Arena is definitely old school (it was built in 1974). It actually reminds me of Burger Center in Austin which was also built in the 70s (IYKYK). The capacity is 8K, but it seemed smaller to me. Because it's an older venue, it doesn't have features such as illuminated stairs (like Toyota Center). People were using their cell phone flash lights to go up and down the stairs in the dark. The concourse area is a bit on the small side. The bathrooms weren't great but they weren't a complete disaster. On my last visit, I attended the World AIDS Day concert with Janet Jackson (she was amazing!). The staff was helpful with finding our seats as well as the merch table. We had a row of just 3 chairs which meant we had the entire row to ourselves (my best friend is brilliant lol). The sound quality was better than I was expecting, though at one point the volume of Janet's vocals seemed off. I didn't buy any food or drinks, but I imagine it's overpriced like any other venue. Tip: Check their socials for info on parking, bag policy, etc. Parking for the show was $20 (though it varies by event) and they do take cash and credit. The parking lot is right next to the arena so you don't have to walk terribly far. NRG Arena is okay. It's definitely not my favorite venue in the city, but it's good enough.
