Nov. 27, 2024 We were heading up to Charleston SC for Thanksgiving and started having tire pressure issues. We went to a gas station and put air in the tires. Still not convinced , we went to Monumental Ford dealership next door. A big shout out to Lucy Brannan, Service Advisor . She was so kind and thoughtful and had Chris and his assistant take the car back to the bay. ( We have a Volvo) They gave it a thorough check for leaks and nails, which there weren't any and topped it off the air. So we contacted this dealer about a specific vehicle. We were told the vehicle couldn't be sold due to an outstanding recall. We understood that and still looked at it, test drove it around the parking lot, and placed a refundable deposit. The salesman, and manager were present when we asked if it was fully refundable and we were told by Sales Manager Amanda that it was fully refundable. We were then told that it would be illegal to not refund it if we asked for a refund. We asked for the deposit to be documented as refundable as well. We decided not to buy the vehicle after the dealer old us the recall was completed approximately a week later. I immediately asked for a full refund. Almost 10 days later and still no effort by the dealership to provide a refund! The first excuse was the accounting person was on vacation. We had a very disappointing experience with Jeff in the finance department at Monumental Ford. We agreed on a specific purchase price for the vehicle. Because it was late and we live three hours away, Jeff suggested completing the paperwork through e-signature. While reviewing the documents, we discovered a $2,000 increase from the agreed price. We immediately stopped the signing process due to this discrepancy. Despite us not completing or approving the final numbers, the paperwork was submitted without our signatures reflecting the correct agreed-upon amount. We gave Jeff and the dealership three weeks to correct the issue before writing this review, but nothing was resolved. This experience has caused serious concerns about transparency and integrity in the finance process. We are extremely disappointed and would advise anyone working with Jeff to carefully review every document before signing. read more

I'm receiving nothing but runaround and flat out lies regarding a refund of warranty and insurance I purchased with my new truck. There is so much turnover you never see the same people and they are always new so have no clue what is going on. We've ask a couple of people who have left what the issue is and its always the same answer the management there. Maybe the owners need to look at their mangers and clean house from the top down. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! You can fact check all these numbers so nothing made up. This dealer will WAY OVER CHARGE YOU ON FEES!!! I recently went to purchase used vehicle. They wanted to charge me a DOC fee of $999!! The average in Georgia is $549, again you can research DOC fees. For reference the max allowed in CA is $85! Also in GA title and registration fee is $18 and $20 respectively yet they wanted to charge 993 and have it listed only as "fees". Any fee listed by law is supposed to be itemized. This is a shady dealership. Also all other ford dealerships choose to be under Fords "Blue Oval Program" which gives you a 4,000 mile/3 month warranty on any used I think only Ford cars, yet they choose for some reason not to. That program is geared towards customer satisfaction which shows they really don't care about the customer, only the sales department! read more

Looked for months for the color combination I wanted and found the car here. I explained up front it would be an online deal due to me living in FL and this dealership is in GA. I was asked about my trade and asked to send in specific photos. Days went by and I heard nothing. Then, I get an email from the salesperson telling me the car had sold, but he had two others in a different color. I responded back that I still hadn't heard back from him on my trade-in info. Never heard from them again. So I definitely would not recommend an online purchase. I am wondering if I had been a male, if I would have been treated differently. I was looking for used car to serve as a commuter car to get me to and from work that had excellent MPG, low mileage (under 30K), and not more than 3 years old. I drive 100+ miles a day for work. I began my research online for vehicles that matched my criteria from dealerships in my area (Brunswick, GA). Monumental had a Nissan in stock so I went to check it out. I called first to verify. The salesman, Richard, who spoke with me over the phone was also the one who helped me once I arrived. He had the answers to all my questions with no heavy sales pressure I usually get with dealerships. He was sincere in making sure I got what I wanted, rather than just making a sale. I have been twice now in 2 weeks. First was oil change and tire rotation. Then came back for a warranty job and fri t end alignment. Everyone was nice, answered my questions and work was done. Very pleased. We are new to the area and purchased our truck new in Gulfport and always dealt with the original purchase dealership. I am happy these people are just as nice. read more

Purchased a vehicle from them seven months ago. They never turned my title in to the state and now my title is pending. I have been calling the dealership for months with no response. Sally sound me the vehicle then stopped answering the phone to cover the mess that she created. The general manger John gave me his personal number to help fix the issue then blocked me. I'm calling the dealerships everyday and no one is responding. To top this all of I am a active duty soldier who is in Poland, fighting for a country for people that refuse to assist me. NEVER USE THIS DEALERSHIP. Especially if you are a solider they don't respect your time or money. Now I have to come out my pocket thousands of dollars to get a bonded title, in which I had nothing to do with the issue. It all started on July 5, took my coach (ford) chassis in to have them fix a vandalism problem, ask them to do an oil and lube as long as they had it, Danielle said she would call with an estimate, no call 2 weeks now, for the oil change estimate... checked last Monday gave them the go ahead on the catalytic converter replacement, she said probably by the end of the week, no call, I called today, she said parts still on order, said she would call this afternoon, no call yet, asked her to have someone look at my tires, for a trip we are planning since the 4th... no call yet about the tires... just don't understand people that tell you something and do not follow through... if the management see this I would expect some sort of response... I feel locked in now because no one else in the area fixes motor coaches, everyone is nice and polite but not trustworthy for responding to needs... if I could find some other place, I would be tempted to go elsewhere... I have no idea as to the quality of work, as nothing has been done yet... Can folks be honest about their jobs if you say you'll call, then call, even if you have bad news, it's better than no news... terrible way to run a business... surely I can't be the only one WAITING for a word!!! The dealership charged $143.00 for this service & according to my paperwork from 6 months ago it was $52.00 for the same service on my F-150. I was on a trip back home to Florida from Virginia when I had a couple of service errors pop up on the display. I lost power steering and had the car towed to Hodges Ford the day before Labor day. They were only open for a half day on Labor day, and with the approaching hurricane and mandatory evacuation they were running on a skeleton crew that was basically making the lot storm ready. I was informed that my car was suffering from a recall issue and it would be no cost to me, but with the hurricane they were closing for a few days and were unsure of where the part was coming from and when it would arrive. I inquired about a loaner and was told no one was available that could provide one. I scrambled and found a rental car agency open on a holiday and booked a car for a week so I could evacuate the area and return to my family. The dealership spent Tuesday and Wednesday closed, and reopened on Thursday. I spoke to someone in service who informed me that the part was in and that they were working on my vehicle. I told them that I would be heading up that way (almost 5 hours away) in the morning. The next day I call for the courtesy car to pick me up from the rental car place, and I am informed that my car is not done and they don't know when it will be finished. After a go around and transfers to a couple different people, I was finally able to speak to the General Manager that informed me that he is sending the courtesy car to pick me up and will speak with the technician to get a timeline on the repair for my vehicle. When I get there, the GM still has no new information, but provides me with a loaner car and tells me that he will call me and update me on my vehicle. I am getting a little worried when it nears the time I think the service department closes so I head back to the dealership and the GM tells me that he still doesn't have an updated timeline, but he thinks my vehicle is almost ready because he saw it on the alignment rack. He called the service department, and they told him it should be ready by the end of the day. I opted to wait in the service department waiting area. At the end of the day I am called up to sign the work ticket and get my keys, and they inform me that 3 out of my 4 tires are bad. They are separating and they don't recommend driving on them. I left and had to pull off the interstate at the next chance because the vibration in the car was so bad. I am not sure how three of my four tires that were less than three years old all failed at the same time, but I also don't know why this was not brought to my attention before the end of the day when I could have made a decision. I asked about rental car reimbursement and was told to keep my receipts and contact Ford Customer Service. When I contacted FCS, I was told that I would need to speak to the dealership. TLDR - Communication was very poor, did not alert me to potentially serious issues, gave run around on reimbursement. read more

I bought a 2013 ford transit connect. The sales lady was great. The sales manager was friendly THE FINANCE MANAGER was not! He did not explain one thing. He was rude. He didn't go over any of the paperwork at all. Had this been my first time at a dealer I would have been lost. Maybe it's my blue hair Maybe it's the dirt still on me from work Maybe it's because I'm fat. Who knows. This guy treated me like scum. He was rude from the moment he saw me. I had such a good beginning I planned to come back and do a trade on my trucks this week. NOT NOW! I will not be recommending anyone I know to be judged and treated poorly. In an 8 hour period, after arriving at the service desk at 8:00 A.M., my RV was serviced in the following ways: engine oil was changed, tire valve was replaced, transmission fluid was changed and air filter was replaced----in 8 hours of waiting. No one came to talk with me; I had to seek out information. When I went to the desk, service people ignored me... At 4:00 P.M., I asked again about what was going on and a part-time person pleasantly went to seek out a manager. Found out that my RV steps had been bent and need to be replaced. Since I was leaving the next day, Hodges Ford did say that they would pay for service and replacement when I arrive at my destination. Long day for this little bit of service. read more

Stopped at two places in Brunswick on a Saturday Morning and both said it would be hours till they could get to me. Googled and right off 95 was Mike Murphys Ford. AVOID AND DON'T BUY scammers is on market, a specially Johnny Martinez Sales Manager! On the date of 04/05/2019 we purchased 2018 FORD MUSTANG from this dealership and we was told that we suppose to do our own registration in our state, we living in border between Oregon and California , in the city of Ashland. THE DEALERSHIP DIDN'T COLLECTED ANY FEES such as registration, tags or title work--- that really made us to understand that we fully responsible for our own registration. We didn't finance the car we paid a cash, however we did not received any temporary tag or any registration at the time we purchased, we only received unregistered car however Johnny Martinez Sales Manager was telling us that they gonna send us the title, and then we should take care of our own registration in our state, days passed, however title didn't arrived, we called to dealership multiple times there was different scenarios given such us: "We already sent title to you, we overnighted to you, or we must to register it for you in Oregon, that was sent yesterday or it was sent but came back and we will send you again" --nothing was a truth all empty promises. Also the John E. Halvorsen General Manager was telling us that he will send title to us directly but lately he said they must to register the car for us, however is not even possible because the registration fees never was collected. Also Johnny Martinez Sales Manager was giving multiple scenarios and lies, but before that he said that all entire dealership didn't knew how to operate the business , but now he is taking care of sales and the work will be done smoth. He said there was bad manager before him. His method of communication was very fishy and uncertain. Johnny Martinez Sales Manager was referring us to several people such us Donna Brown and Michelle Spears , however those ladies couldn't help at all. After many unsuccessful attempt of contacting DEALERSHIP multiple times, WE are on the date of May 2 ,2019 was able to reach out the Georgia Motor Vehicle Dept there we was told that the older title never was issued out/never was printed out because 47TAG form never was submitted by HODGES FORD, they simply never issued the paper title from year ago!!! ,from the date of 05/04/2019 ,bassically Title #773075180442963 never was produced and printed . So same thing we was told on monday at GIADA. Basically the several errors was done at the transaction, neither state won't produce title for us because first title was incomplete , only yesterday we understood why HODGES FORD trying to register car for us, they trying to skip a missing link aka first missing title. In this point of time my wife is crying everyday and we have to stop this lies. read more

I would have awarded zero stars but that was not an option. I had an appointment at Hodges Ford to get my oil changed. After waiting for a hour they told me my car was done. I came out to a bill I found a little expensive for just an oil change. She informed me that it also included a tire rotation that I did not request and was never asked about. I let them know my tires had been rotated the day before by the place in which they were purchased. Oh I'm sorry , what? Come to find our this is the second time they had done this to my car without permission. I then had them go back and rotate them to the original state of my arrival. That would have defeated the purpose of the rotation the day before. They might need to let the girl know at the front desk that you just don't add services without permission of the car owner. That is if they can get her off her cell phone long enough! Their answer to the problem was " oh I can just refund you the difference" really? I will make sure I let everyone I know the problem I had and the " oops " attitude of the office staff. Had I not questioned the fee, I would not have known that my tires had been rotated. I purchased tires from another location and the tire pressure light stayed on after the new tires were installed. I took my car in to find out why the light remained on. I worked with Lucy, the Service Advisor and she made sure that the technicians checked everything to determine why the tire pressure light remained on. They were able to retrain the tire sensor and at the same time determine that I did not need a wheel alignment.
