I really was rooting for the owners, and I'm glad they've been able to last, unlike many of the other establishments on Bar Rescue. Moon Runners has its own private parking lot. It's not large and can be harder to find a park on a Saturday evening or higher-volume times. I've been a handful of times, and service has been great every time. I've sat at tables, but also at the bar, and all of the staff have been friendly and helpful. Some of the food I've had includes: - Apps: Corn Nuggets, Fried Brussels Sprouts, Southern Fried Pickle Chips - Entrees: Steak Salad, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Wilkes County Wrap I've enjoyed my food every time except the pickle chips. They were cooked well, but had way too much batter for my liking. I ended up removing most of the batter because it was so much. Most of the cocktails are centered around moonshine, and there are a ton of options. Additionally, they also have a full bar, so if moonshine isn't your thing, you still have plenty of options.

I had the root veggie bowl and added lentils for protein. I asked for dressing on the side because I want to dress my own food. Before I dressed it I took a bite, wow! It could be eaten with no dressing! It was absolutely delicious. I asked if they have a vegan sauce and they did not know. CAVA has several vegan dressings available that are marked on the bottle. Might be something to consider. But, wow. I can't wait to come back! My drink was the Mango Apple Kale. It was very good and not too sweet. It's 7:10 on a Wednesday night. The place is not real busy but should be. The first experience was worth reviewing, they did great. I eat at chipotle a lot and their tables are always dirty and garbages overflowing but this place, no. The Farmside Kitchen tables are all clean in the lobby. garbages clean, floor...clean. They are going to do great. I look for forward to returning or finding one in my area.

My wife and I both ate the Caesar salad and it was pretty darn tasty! The chicken was flavorful and the dressing hit the mark. I will say that the side of bread was pretty bland, but it's free so I can't complain too much :) Inside, it looked clean and cheerful. Overall, I would definitely come back to this location to grab a healthy meal.

It does tend to get busy, so you may have a little wait for your food, but it's definitely worth it. The shrimp Rasta pasta was creamy, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of spice, plus they give a generous portion of shrimp. We sat outside this day, as the weather was mild and there wasn't any available seats inside. We ordered a fried combo and a grilled combo. TrySeafood does a lot of things right. Portion size was fairly generous. We especially love the fact they serve cleaned jumbo shrimp. Food was cooked well, shrimp was tender as was scallops. The broccoli was not tender crisp nor mushy. The potatoes and corn were delicious. While service was friendly, it was a bit slow. Also, I'm not an Old Bay fan. The grilled shrimp were seasoned with Old Bay. While the fish was crispy, I prefer a cornmeal dredge to a flour dredge. Finally, (and this could have been a me thing) the tip percentage on the screen doesn't align with the math. I intended to tip 15% - which is standard especially considering slow service. That should have been approx $8 and when I got home I realized it was approximately $16. You're not given a printed receipt and if you're in a rush and going through the process quickly it's easy to miss. Again I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I selected the %15 option. Additionally, I've seen other restaurants that have intentionally include this practice. Would I go again, sure. I'd request a different seasoning blend or a light seasoning and check that math! We struck up conversations with several locals, including a few fellow educators--and even our bartender. There's a genuine sense of community here, and the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. I went with the Fried Green Tomato BLT, a creative take on the classic sandwich. Instead of the usual tomato, it features two crisp fried green tomatoes paired with candied bacon, lettuce, fresh tomato, and roasted garlic aioli. The combination works particularly well--the tangy, slightly tart fried green tomatoes provide a great contrast to the sweet, smoky bacon, while the roasted garlic aioli brings everything together. At $12, it's a very satisfying lunch. I paired it with a pilsner. The beer selection is particularly noteworthy, given the restaurant's connection to Mason Jar Lager Co., the local Fuquay-Varina brewery. It's a nice touch that reinforces the tavern's connection to the local community. Overall, The Mason Jar Tavern is an exceptionally good casual restaurant--comfortable, welcoming, and the kind of place where you can come in for lunch and easily find yourself lingering a little longer than planned.

The goat cheese is a nice touch. But today is my birthday, so I ordered the ribeye sandwich. It's the best. It's like a Philly Cheesesteak, but instead they use red peppers and American cheese. I am from Wisconsin and though it is sacrilegious to boast about American cheese, I'm telling you it's the best switch up steak sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm never eating another Philly cheesesteak AGAIN. And if I ever cook a steak sandwich at home, I'll try and copy the recipe from the Mason Jar. Many thanks for a delicious #41. And if you're someone leaving bad reviews, I suggest going to church or ashram or temple or something, because we should all be GRATEFUL to be able to eat anything at all! Haven't you ever been through a health crisis where you were unable to eat normally for a prolonged period of time? Czech yourself! Do you know how lucky you are to be ALIVE? Fantastic bar service as well! Peace and Love!

The lighting fixtures were beautiful and artsy. Just a heads up, we were able to sign a book at the end of the whole experience, which was so unique and fun! I went here with my husband, kids, and mom to celebrate my 19 year old son's birthday, as well as serving as a send off for him to the USMC! Our waitress was wonderful and definitely made our first time in a great experience. She was thorough and helpful. She checked in regularly and gave us time to finish our apps before submitting our entree orders. We ordered 3 apps, the steak teaser, arancini di rising, and flash fried oysters. The steak teaser was like butter in your mouth with the toast. Truly amazing. The oysters hit the spot with the Cajun seasoning and the perfect bite over the bed of slaw to give it some freshness. The rice balls were so crisp on the outside, yet so creamy on the inside. That paired so well with the freshly prepared marinara and herbs. Entrees were cavatappi primavera with shrimp add on. The shrimp was incredible and pasta was so flavorful and fresh. It paired so well with my drink order which was the pear and loathing in las varina. It was so good I got a second. My husband got the 12 oz wagyu mid rare. It was done as the Oscar style and he had the Brussels sprouts. I tried his food. Yes, we share! It was melt in your mouth delicate. The sauces complimented every part of the dish and the tomatoes added the best acidic contrast to lift it all up. His drink choice was wuthering berries and yes I tried that too. Wow! Such a great drink. Very in depth with the flavor profile and he had to order a second himself. The rest of my party ordered burgers and one other steak, the filet mignon. Burgers were cooked to order and still juicy. I would've chosen medium rare but they chose medium and medium well, so it was to their liking and cooked perfectly. The sweet potato mash was delicious as well. The filet was ordered medium well but still held so much flavor and juices. Such a great talent for cooking these cooks have. That paired with the waitstaff being so kind, helpful, and super attentive made the evening perfect and one to remember! Id truly give them 10 stars or more if I could!!

First red flag was table next to us kept looking all around for the waitress for quite a while, ended up getting up themselves to go pay bill bc they waited so long. Initial service was fine but she got slower through the meal for us too. I ordered the fried oyster app. Could tell immediately they were left in the frier too long. The breading was very dark....and so crunchy upon trying. Grew up in VB and I know how good fried oysters should be. Someone knew they left it in too long and was too lazy to toss 4 more in. Then I splurged for the $80 wagyu strip....and as others have said in these reviews....was no where near tender like wagyu should be. My wife's standard filet was way more tender. Sorry, but I guess it's time to move on to a steakhouse elsewhere.
