Great hotel with lovely counter space. Short walk past TV station to greenbelt with a dog run. Located within walking distance to music hall and the restaurant attached packs to go for room with real utensils! Upon request they brought a light blue cover for bed because everything is white and I didn't want my dog to mess up white sheets blankets and comforter. Would definitely stay again. Rooms were spacious and bathroom had counterspace. Great find. Also has limited on site parking.

This hotel was ok. It looks nice and has a working elevator. However, you have to scan your room key to make it work, and the scanner is not at a wheelchair-accessible height. I was in the disabled room on the top floor. The shower is fully wheelchair accessible. The sink is not. The bed is very very high off the floor as well. They do not have accessible parking. The shelf in the bathroom is not disability accessible, and also it was dirty with soap spots and clearly had not been cleaned prior to my arrival. I also only received about a quarter roll of toilet paper, which was damp through several layers from them making a design with the faucet on it. They are advertised as dog friendly, which I was at first excited about-- I thought my service dog would have an easier time here. But they fail to mention that they do not have any pee spots within accessible distance. It's a several minute walk to a very small patch of grass. The map they gave me didn't even have the montvale on it which was weird. You know how hotels usually give you like four pillows and each is a different firmness? Not here. Six pillows, all so fluffy they were impossible to sleep on. One of the front desk workers was very nice and found me some flatter decorative pillows to try to sleep on which I appreciated. For the record, though I'm giving only 3 stars, the staff were very pleasant and professional. They have a communal hot drinks and hangout area on floor two. This is nice, but it also means that you can hear night owls hanging out and talking very late as all the rooms surround this area on both floors. Not the best experience but not terrible either. The cafe next door has some adequate gluten free options and good coffee. You get 10% off when you're at the Montvale. Overall I think this is a nice hotel for people who aren't disabled. On the site it seems great for a disabled person, but in reality they are lacking in that area. So be aware if you're disabled.

Spent a quick Friday overnighter here with the bff. She couldn't have selected a more perfect (though disappointingly not haunted) historic boutique hotel. Full of charm. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Easy parking right behind the hotel for a reasonable nightly rate ($15?). And convenient walking distance to the best coffee next door (First Ave) and lots of restaurants and bars (we recommend Wooden City for dinner/drinks). I was concerned about reviews of paper-thin walls, but we hardly heard a peep. Maybe we lucked out with quiet neighbors (I know there was someone in the room next to ours because I heard their shower in the morning). It probably also helped being on the third floor without anyone above us. You could hear some street noise from there, but nothing that couldn't be easily ignored (I'm a light sleeper). I'd definitely book here again.

The room was comfortable, though the walls were a bit thin. I could occasionally hear guests in the adjacent room. It didn't take away from the overall experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, offering great local recommendations and making check-in and check-out seamless. I would definitely stay here again.

Ghost left me alone There was no noise to be had A cool, old hotel I booked this with credit card miles for the equivalent of about $110. Did not look at the reviews prior to booking. I was super happy with my stay. Nothing supernatural or Trvl channel worthy. During these COVID times, I think I was one of the few staying the night. Slept like a baby. It is certainly not the largest or newest hotel I have ever stayed in. Feels like a trip back in time to a different era. Not sure what that era would be, though. Sometime before I was born. The entire hotel has a very pleasant aroma. When I checked in I thought it was the perfume of the attendant checking me in. It is all over the building and even in my room. One reviewer described it as a candy smell. I'm not sure that is accurate. It is kind of like walking into a candle store. Chamomile, maybe. In any event, after choking on wildfire smog for a couple days it was quite pleasing to me.

Older boutique style hotel. Amazing and friendly staff! Great muffins and pastries in the morning. Rooms are large come equipped with/ a fridge which was nice visiting there for a volleyball meet. Secure parking but so many homeless around it was a little scary. I surely would not hang out outside this hotel. Likely would not stay here again for this reason. Gilded Unicorn restaurant downstairs was pretty good. Lots of creative options. Must have a reservation.

My cousin, who lives in Spokane, recommended this hotel. She was spot on with this place. I LOVED IT! You can get hot coffee or tea 24/7. Parking is only $10 a night. I found a better price on Priceline and the hotel told me to go ahead and book it through them! I wish we could have stayed, at least, one more night. I highly recommend staying at this gorgeous hotel.

    Comfortable bed, pleasant ghosts.

Unfortunately, their experience was genuinely awful. They dropped off their luggage and went out with friends. When they returned later that night and pulled back the sheets to get into bed, they found pubic hair on the bedding. They immediately called the front desk to report it. They were told someone would come up with fresh sheets. When staff finally arrived, all they brought was a single top sheet -- wet and smelling strongly of bleach. The employee left before my parents could say anything else, and no additional bedding was provided. They had no choice but to put the damp, bleach‑smelling sheet on the bed and try to sleep. My mom ended up with a rash that lasted four days from that sheet. They have tried calling multiple times since to speak with someone about the situation, but no one has returned their calls.

We stayed on the top floor facing north with a view below of the First Interstate Center which is a short journey using the covered skywalk. It wasn't busy at this time in early February and the common areas were quiet, though we've been there during New Year's Eve when it's pretty bustling. We usually book the Penthouse King Suite with fireplace, which is as spacious as a small apartment with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette/bar area with mini fridge. Rooms have always been spotless. The bed is super comfortable. Robes are provided as well as extra blankets. We always bring our own Firestick with us when we travel, but we've noticed in every room that we've ever stayed at here that the TV input is not able to be changed to accommodate plugging into the HDMI port. Table 13 restaurant was closed for renovations, but the dining lounge was open and we get consistently good service and food at a reasonable price there. Room service breakfast for two cost about $70 (including service fee and tip) for a full breakfast entree, a fruit plate, and a kid's plate of pancakes. I wish that parking was more economical. At $28 per night, it's a bit steep. For comparison, we stayed the next night at the nearby Montvale Hotel where parking is $10 in their lot. Overall a very nice hotel and conveniently located in downtown Spokane.

Located on the south side of the river and what appears to be the heart of downtown, it was relatively easy to get to, and literally across the street from where we were seeing a show. The place is really large with something like 14 or 15 levels, and a room that we very much enjoyed! The beds were large, the mattresses were really nice and the view was lovely! The shower was also quite solid. It was one that did not have a door, but was fashioned such that you didn't get water all over the bathroom floor. It also had one of the best showerheads we've ever experienced! It was like getting sprayed off with a warm hose. It was a bummer that they didn't have a pool and hot tub here, but the workout facilities were really nice, and if you are looking for a pool, staying here, you get access to the pool and hot tub at the sister hotel downtown. We didn't make use of it, but it's a nice offer. We were about five minutes from downtown, and walked to a couple of restaurants for both dinner and breakfast. Parking was easy with an option for self parking or valet. The parking garage was connected to the building, and overall made things very easy. I really went back-and-forth between a four and five on this property, but overall it was a really nice spot with nice amenities and the pool was really the only thing that was lacking. It gets the five star bump!
