I am traveling with three teenage granddaughters. We spent one night in this very quaint well run hotel. Its location is superb. Close to the park and gondola. Great restaurants nearby (try wild sage), reception is awesome. Parking by valet is $30 .. no worries because you don't need a car. The ambience is fabulous. They keep the history alive. read more

This is a really nice hotel. The hard thing is parking since it is downtown you have to pay $30 for valet or outside parking which is about a bit more. Hotel is pretty old from the 1800s and really nice. As you take the elevator upstairs he can see that it is nice and the hallway has that old creek as you walk through to your room, letting me know it is old.It does look very nice. Once you open the door to your room you can see that it is nicely updated, and appropriate for today's people. read more

It was my first time staying at Hotel Indigo, it's located in downtown Spokane. I booked through the IHG app, got checked in and there's a $100 incidental hold that you get back. Due the homeless population downtown I opted to pay $30 for valet parking that way I knew my vehicle was safe. They made check in super easy and the staff was super first which I liked. The room was pretty cozy and spacious. The pillows went a little flat at times but when you're tired it doesn't matter lol. The bathroom was a descent size and their hand soap as well as the shampoo and body was smelled very good and felt clean. The lamp in my room was not attached to the ceiling and I forgot to mention that to the front desk. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Indigo and would love to return on another trip to Spokane. Hotel has a great location. very walkable and proximity to Bing Crosby Theatre venue is great..Hotel is beautiful..Check in was pretty quick and valet was right there at check in and done! Avisee room 418..2 queens and a city view requested.. went up elevator and followed the numbers..noticed no 418..was 418A and 418B...oo kk..got to 418A King room..Requested 2 queens..uh oh.. can see bathroom...very large..then notice door on other side of bathroom and is another room with 2 queen beds... Jack and Jill bathroom..checked door card, and it works for other room, labelled..yup. 418B.. ok..OPTIONS! LOL. TV in King room only plays NCIS. not here to watch TV...ok.. go to venue, back at 1145pm. Easy walk. Go to bed, exhausted..Awaken by room phone at 145 am.. in the Queen room, phone is NOT near the bed and took some time to figure out what was going on..stopped harsh ringing..ok..rings again,3 times and stops again..go to phone and take it off hook..Person in A (king) comes in and advised was Front Desk. Said received calls from several room to advise of screaming coming from 418B. No TV on, and again, was asleep.. Can't get back to sleep for over an hour... Then awaken by alarm, not set by me, at 6am..Cannot wait to go home. read more

We loved our stay here! It was only for a night but everything was spectacular. Our room was clean, cozy, and pet friendly! The building is remodeled from the early 1900s or something like that - there are plaques throughout the building that gives information and it's very fascinating! I would also highly recommend purchasing the valet parking - you get unlimited access so if you come and go 10 times in a day they will park and retrieve your vehicle every time! Next time I hope we can try the breakfast bar and lounge! Overall, I am very impressed with the building and our experience here. I brought my review down to 4 stars solely because our room wasn't quite fully stocked - missing tissues and the room was low on TP. It didn't necessarily affect our stay as it was only overnight but I think it's standard to have full stock of amenities. Thanks Indigo! Until next time. read more

I stayed here in a business trip last month. When my friend and I arrived, we were a little worried due to the police activity nearby. My family was able to come along and the hotel staff was very accommodating to us. The room we had was huge. One morning, there was only one person manning the kitchen area for breakfast. He didn't let it stop him. He was the waiter, cook and server, and managed to fill each role with near perfection. The hotel was very clean with a beautiful vintage vibe. The room was arranged in a way that made sense. Sadly our room was missing a few lightbulbs from the lamps. Lastly we were a little disappointed the pool lacked a pool. All in all, we had a great time there and will keep them in mind for any future out in that area. read more

I would not recommend Hotel Indigo Spokane Downtown based on my experience. On 12/12/25, I checked into my room and immediately saw a bug crawling across my pillow. Regardless of what the hotel later claimed the bug was, seeing any bug on bedding is alarming and unacceptable. I reported it immediately and did not feel safe staying in the room. What made the situation worse was the lack of urgency, communication, and basic customer service. I was told I would receive follow-up calls from management that never came. I sat in my car late at night after two flights waiting for directions that never happened. I ultimately had to find another hotel on my own and pay full price after losing my discounted rate. Later, both the hotel and corporate customer service dismissed my report and suggested the incident did not occur at their property, which was insulting and made me feel as though my honesty was being questioned. At no point did anyone take ownership of how poorly the situation was handled in real time. To be clear, my concern was never about compensation. It was about being left without assistance, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy during a situation involving guest safety. I have since filed a complaint with the local health department so the issue can be independently reviewed. If you value responsiveness, professionalism, and feeling supported as a guest, especially when something goes wrong, I would strongly reconsider staying here. read more

Hotel Indigo is located in the heart of the Spokane theater district. It offered easy access to the theaters and a short walk to the riverfront. The hotel itself is charming and unique. Though owned by a hotel chain they strived to ensure a different experience from the cookie cutter hotel experience. From the reception area to the rooms the hotel has a special charm to it. It incorporates the history of the hotel and the history of Spokane. The rooms are open and airy giving the guest plenty of room to relax and put their belongings. The murals on the walls of the rooms reflect different parts of the city's history which is a really interesting perk. The room itself was super spacious with two queen beds a little nook that had a desk and armoire and then a very spacious bathroom. The beds are comfortable which was great for a good nights sleep. The bathroom was clean and the shower was really nice looking. The hot water was hot and the cold water cold, so always good things. It was by train tracks but the noise didn't bother me. Especially since there weren't any train horns. They combine a modern feel with a boutique charm. It allows guest to have a different experience from a traditional hotel stay. I would recommend it for either solo travelers or a couple. It could be ok with kids but it's not super close to kid friendly things. I would be happy to stay here again. read more

Supposedly with the breakfast option we get $20 per person for breakfast which is great! The hotel itself is over 100 years old. It's very quaint. The rooms are very comfortable modern. The hotel is a neat, historical like hotel that still has the "old time" but modern feel to it. I unfortunately didn't get out to see the surrounding area as when we got there, the homeless population was pretty dense and it was getting dark so decided to stay in. Otherwise the hotel itself was very clean, the staff was very professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and "cute". Bed was super comfortable and the heat/Air conditioning kept the room at the perfect temperature that you select (which is hard to do in some hotels). The biggest downside is if you get a room on the outer, south side of the hotel and are near the train bridge, the trains and helicopters landing at the local hospital are very noticeable. There are NO train horns, the but sound alone is unfortunately rather loud. A friend of mine stayed on the other side and said he hear nothing at all. So maybe a nice request might make a difference in the stay?? All in all, great place to stay the evening! read more

Absolutely loved our stay here! It was so clean and the room smelled and looked pristine. The staff was super friendly and the valet service was great! It's just down from the Fox Theatre and The Knitting Factory so a great location for going to shows and then staying overnight. We love historic hotels and this one is absolutely gorgeous, but also has very modern updated rooms. The bed was very comfortable. We have tried many different hotels in this area but we will be making this one our first choice from now on! read more

We opted for the valet parking and were happy with the service. My only complaint is that the area is pretty shady. 10+ plus stars hands down!! Newly remodeled, clean & beautiful place! This is a newly renovated hotel that we stayed at for our 2 night anniversary staycation. We booked on the same evening that we checked in (after leaving a horrible place!) We were so relieved that the hotel turned out to be amazing and the front desk attendants were super helpful and accommodating! It did seem that they were a bit short staffed but made it all work. The hotel offered valet parking, which we did, since it was located within walking distance to the mall, restaurants and Riverfront Park. We enjoyed the walk on Friday evening and all day Saturday; there were many other people walking the streets too so we were comfortable with walking all of downtown Spokane. We had dinner at Magnolia our last evening there; this is the restaurant located on site. We didn't realize reservations were required or recommend (considering they were only open 25% capacity due to covid) and the restaurant is also open to the public as well. The General Manager was very accommodating and we were able to get a seat. Food was super yummy and prices were great and not expensive at all. When our service realized it was our anniversary, the dessert was complimentary. Very nice of them. read more

Pros: - nice room with nice shower and bathroom and pump soaps - good tb channels and stuff to watch - cute little desk - mini fridge and microwave available by request - cute coffee bar in hotel - front desk staff and valet staff are the nicest Cons: - constant trains going by - I am a deep sleeper and the train woke me up regularly - must wear ear plugs - a half block from a bridge with a homeless encampment. 2/4 nights were were here we were woken up by homeless men screaming obscenities at the top of their lungs If you don't want to sleep with ear plugs then don't stay here. I stayed at the hotel indigo approximately three months ago for several days, during my stay I was using valet parking And the parking person damaged my vehicle. It took several months to get it repaired and during this time the hotel was not very accommodating, they did pay for the repair, But it Has been well over a month now since I sent them the invoice for the car rental. Though the truck was in the shop for two weeks, I only rented a truck for four days. needless to say, It has been a real hassle. And the manager told me he would reimburse me right away. I've had to make several phone calls and now I'm resorting to legal action read more

Leaving my feedback here since the front desk is impossible to get ahold of - Hotel doesn't include a fridge in the room, unlike all modern hotels - TV stopped working halfway through the first night - They don't keep any toothbrushes or soap in stock... - Very bad area, hard to find parking, lots of homeless. They'll try to up-charge you on a $20/day parking, it's a long distance away... In the over 50 hotels I've stayed in this year, this was one of the more poor experiences. read more

My family and I stayed here for the weekend. It is an old hotel but remodeled in a glamorous/fresh style. Pros: -Big room (we had two queen beds). -Nice amenities in the bathroom (pump shampoo, conditioner, body wash). -Walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. -Valet parking which was convenient and fast to retrieve our car. -Clean -Good/prompt customer service at the front desk. Cons: -The barn door on the bathroom doesn't provide enough privacy. -The door to our room from the hallway is original/old and it didn't close properly where I could lock the deadbolt or the swing lock. Overall, we would stay here again if we come back to Spokane. We did not use the breakfast or the downstairs restaurant. read more

I've stayed at this hotel so many times..This is the first time I wasn't excited about this last stay. The first night, there was body fluids and black hair on my bedspread. It was discovered getting into bed at 11:00 at night. I was told I could pack up and move rooms or have a new blanket provided. I got a new blanket as I was too tired to pack everything up and my dog and move to a different room. The next morning I discovered we no longer were offered room service and I had to go to the dining hall to get my food purchased. I only used on day credit (purchased two - no refund) as this was a huge inconvenience. I also had to get coffee out of the lobby because I only had decaf in the room - why? Breakfast was not great and I found a pepper in my potatoes with the store label still attached. I did provide the piece to the front desk and ask he handle the problem. My card was charged an additional monies (which I'm not allowed to say here) which I wasn't really expecting, but managed. The 2 days I stayed did not equal the value at all. Super disappointed and most likely will NOT stay here again. I can get the same crappy service from the chain brand down the street. It used to be so much fun and enjoyable. read more

This hotel had really nice rooms and they were very clean. If you don't mind being outside of the downtown area this is fine. When I called to book the front desk guy told me they were in the heart of downtown but when I arrived the front desk woman told me it's more the outskirts which is more true. Several homeless people are a block away from the hotel as well so parking at night isn't ideal. They have only been around for a year and you can tell they have some kinks to work out. I overheard a woman say she went to go to her new room and when she opened the door someone was already sleeping there for the night. That is a big mess up. Also valet is one girl running around and cars were just lined up super confused. I do recognize though their is a lack of help right now so I assume this will change down the road. Overall it's a nice hotel and just a 15 min walk downtown. It was a bit of an odd experience and you can tell the people at the desk are overworked and confused. read more

We have been waiting for a cool hotel to open here in Spokane, the other options in town are dated. The hotel is in a cool historic building that's been tastefully restored, luxurious shower, spacious rooms. The restaurant has a speak easy vibe, looks awesome but was closed due to covid. I looked out my window (which faced the soup kitchen) and saw the train. I called down to the front desk and asked how often the trains went by and they said constantly. Asked if I wanted ear plugs. We stayed here for 2 nights and we enjoyed it a lot. The owners have done a great job renovations the hotel and giving its history a show. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly...everyone of them. The room was lovely too. Our room was on the front of the building and we were glad we brought a sound machine. Worst experience ever! This hotel provided an extremely disappointing experience. A staff member verbally assaulted me and a restaurant staff member even laughed at me over a mistake with my breakfast order. The accommodations for pets were inadequate, with no designated area for them to use the bathroom. The only place is an alley out back with dog turds and broken glass everywhere, the closest place is three blocks away. The layout of the two bedroom suite was inconvenient with only one bathroom and it is separating the rooms! If someone poops, you have to walk through the smell to get to the rooms. Additionally, I had trouble using the luggage carriers, and a staff member made inappropriate and threatening comments towards me. They have luggage carriers with rubber all the way around. I took three trips with the luggage carrier and on the second time a large, bald, Hispanic employee is on the radio, looking at me as I'm getting on the elevator, saying,"I would knock his @$$ out but I won't take the assault charge." I nervously laughed at him while the doors were closing and said "You ain't knocking anyone out." All I can think is "am I really about to get assaulted by a staff member at a hotel?" Their two double doors have metal squares at the bottom with rubber marks. So I used the luggage carrier to open the double doors three times, thinking this was the norm. In the third time out with the luggage carrier, not the first or second, the same Hispanic employee followed me outside to my car, even though I was not going back inside the hotel, I'd already checked out. My anxiety is now at an all time high and I'm about to call the police. He told me to not open the doors hard, I told him that I heard him threaten me while I was getting on the elevator and he proceeded to threatened me again saying he'd knock me out and to meet him on the corner. He would started walking towards me, then back in the hotel and back out like he's contemplating fighting me. Then he says, "I Have everything I need", like he has my personal info. I felt unsafe and anxious, and ultimately had to resort to insulting the staff member to avoid physical confrontation. Overall, this hotel failed to provide a basic level of hospitality and professionalism, and the behavior of one particular employee was completely unacceptable. This employee will catch your hotel a case and probably needs to never work for IHG again! read more
