I had my 2009 Honda (approximately 165,000 miles) serviced by Ron's Quality Automotive because the…read moreCheck Engine was illuminated and the vehicle was unable to exceed 15-20 MPH. I originally thought the vehicle might be low on oil, but later it determined that was not the problem. Ron's Quality Automotive took the following steps: -Tune Up -Replaced the spark plugs -Tested the coils -Oil Change Total Charge-$581.51 Ron's Quality Automotive informed me that the Check Engine Light was still on and the vehicle was driving a little rough; however, Ron's Quality Automotive assured me that overall the vehicle was fixed. Upon driving the vehicle, I immediately determined the vehicle still could not exceed 15-20 MPH. I contacted Ron's Quality Automotive the next morning to discuss my concerns. Ron's Quality Automotive stated they would need to disassemble the engine to determine why it was misfiring. I was informed this could cost somewhere in the range of $3,000 to $7,000. I informed Ron's Quality Automotive that I would rather purchase a new vehicle then complete the engine repairs. Ron's Quality Automotive stated they might be able to find a person to purchase the vehicle for $1,000 to $1,500. I informed Ron's Quality Automotive that I would think about it and get back to them. I had the vehicle towed to another mechanic for a second opinion. After 30-40 minutes, the second mechanic had my vehicle operating normally. The second mechanic stated he did NO additional work to the vehicle. In addition, I was informed that all he did was clean the connections on the spark plugs and coils. The Check Engine Light is no longer on. The vehicle is operating as normal. Unfortunately, I purchased a new vehicle prior to the Honda being fixed because I needed a vehicle to get to/from work. I would not recommend Ron's Quality Automotive given my experience and the dishonesty of the staff/company. Good Luck to anyone who uses their service. I hope they don't take advantage of you as they did to me.

I heard about Brickers Auto from my 82 year old mom, her 94 Toyota Corolla failed inspection 4…read moreyears ago because the seat belt was fraying. Nobody could find a replacement for her, not even Toyota car dealer. Mr. Bricker found one, it took him a few weeks of searching, but he saved her from having to buy a new car. I know it's time for a new car, but she likes her Corolla. When my car left a small oil stain on my garage floor I took it to my local mechanic, I've going there for years and he is only 5 minutes away. He told me it was coming from the engine, he would have to check everything and it would cost $60 for the estimate. I told him the leak has to be in the rear, because that is where the stain was, but he said the liquid "traveled". I decided to try my mom's mechanic, I dropped it of and few hours later Mr. Bricker called me and explained that the leak was very small and probably not worth fixing on a 12 year old car, unless it gets worse. He gave me an option of fixing it, but after hearing his detailed explanation, I decided that it was not worth it. Mr. Bricker was very knowledgeable and honest, a rare find these days. I would not take my car anywhere else.
