Please do not come here and whatever you do: DONT SPEND MONEY FOR A VENUE!... My wedding and reception were here and Kelly Wineberger and her kids ruined it all with lies, nasty animals, theft, and disrespect. My husband (fiance at the time) and I; booked this winery for our "life changing" event around March of this year. We met with Kelly several times to go over wedding details where she repeatedly told us our day would be grand and special-and she would be there every step of the way to ensure that. We paid exactly 850.00 just for the venue; come wedding day we paid another 685.00 for: 2 cases of wine, a keg of beer, punch, 1 tray cheese, 1 tray fruit, and 1 tray of veggies. Immediately after we paid her; they shut down the only nice bathroom in which also came off the bridal parties room. They put an out of order sign on the door, after the 4th girl used it. (Bathroom was in working condition). As we go to line up to start the ceremony-we were surprised and disappointed to see that there was also a 40th bday party being thrown-again we booked and paid the venue portion in March and was told it was ours for that lotted time we paid for. In middle of our ceremony-this is on video and half our pictures-one of her many nasty dogs comes up walking around us and on my wedding dress train. :-( She didn't apologize even-just said we should privileged cause the dog liked us?!?!... After the ceremony we did pictures-and though yes, some sights were pretty-the lawn had thick fresh cut grass that wasn't raked so it could've looked better and I would not have stained my dress as bad. She had stated before where they sat the tables; there would be plenty of lighting: as this wedding was an evening wedding! One hour after we married; no one could sit at tables because it was too dark to see. Kelly married us as she is a ordained minister.... she left immediately after the wedding-to which again; she had stated she'd be there to help ensure our dream day was perfect. The underage boy served alcohol along with two other young girls-both extremely rude! My bridesmaids had to help retrieve our cake that was in the walk in cooler. When they helped-the daughter accused her of pushing/elbowing her. This never happened-to add to that-the daughter later changed her mind and said it was a the maid of honor: this being an adopting parent and a school teacher?!?!... By 9:00 the dj whom we hired for entertainment came to me surprised-as he was told to shut down before 10. Per our agreement with Kelly we could close up at 11-but if we were classy and respectful; then we could maybe stay till 12 even. My husband and i both tried calling kelly but she wouldnt answer; to which we had the young kids call her. When she showed up i asked her what was going on: Her excuse was that per a paper contract we only got 4 hours. Since we admit we remember signing something; but didn't remember that she was asked to produce the contract. The dj hired was present during this. She then said 10:45 because she was tired?!?!. I didnt want to fight or cry anymore on my wedding day over evrything she lied about to us-so i agreed and she repeated herself to the dj. While I danced and spoke with family and friends: two of my bridesmaids went back to our room for jackets-to their astonishment; they caught Kelly (again the owner) going through all our stuff, throwing things in bags, and putting them outside?! Purses were went through, cards in wallets were pulled out and thrown in area's where they weren't before, different peoples belongings were thrown in random bags so everyone had to search for stuff in the dark. When my husband went to question her on how we could pay almost 1700.00 for such a unclassy dishonest place: to which surprisingly; though we were mad: he did so with courtesy-since that's the people we are. She called the cops?!?!... Ya-our wedding day?!?!?!..... She then found the contract for the cops-which showed no time allotment on it-to me that part didn't matter because I believed in all she told us before; being an ordained minister and Christian. Were given 5 minutes to rush in the dark and pick up all our table stuff and decorations. :-( After we left-I found out they charged everyone for beer-though we purchased it; meaning they double charged. They also said 24 bottles of wine were gone-to which no one really but the bridal party was drinking-so we know we were lied to again. read more
