I had already tried plunging and a small snake, even bought one of those fancy plungers, but nothing worked. These guys we courteous, professional and seemed to know what they were doing. They were affordable and did a great job. I would use them again if I need to and would recommend them to others.

I previously rated Unrivaled Plumbing very high after they performed some emergency work at one of my properties. The work was fast and the price was fair, so calling on them seemed like a no brainer. The red flags started popping up when the information from scheduler and technician contradicted each other about an estimate. We were shocked when the technician arrived and quoted $1600 to install an 18" bathroom vanity and faucet and a kitchen sink faucet, all of which we provided, we simply needed installation. When the tech declared "our prices have gone up significantly", we should have chased him away. We reluctantly allowed the work because we trusted the company. Horrible. Decision. Despite attempts to obtain a cost breakdown of the labor and work, Unrivaled Plumbing has been less than transparent. When the tech was asked directly for the price for labor, he stumbled to come up with a response but eventually indicated "it's a flat rate". We asked for the rate again, but we were met with a non-response response. Several attempts were made to obtain an explanation for the exorbitant costs. At least three times we were told "our prices have gone up significantly" but they never offered an explanation or an adjustment. Two and a half hours work. The bathroom vanity and faucet installation cost was $892. The kitchen sink faucet installation cost was $758. Do the math, they tacked on an additional $50 than what was quoted. I did call a couple local plumbers who quoted me a price less than 1/2 what we were charged by Unrivaled Plumbing. Take their word for it: their "prices have gone up significantly". An error in judgement this time - we won't allow to happen again, but at least we can alert you with a heads-up. Needless to say, we won't be calling this company again.

He returned my email promptly and arrived late afternoon the next day to check out my dryer. He agreed to order the necessary part for repair, stating he doesn't service many GE dryers and only had Samsung parts in stock. Eight days later, I was still waiting for an update. I called him and left a message saying if he was having difficulty getting the part to let me know, and I would go ahead and purchase a new dryer, restating I still wanted his service to clean the dryer duct as we had discussed during the initial consult. I asked him to call me back and let me know. It is now 3/6/22, and he has not made any effort to communicate with me at all. For this reason, I am leaving a negative review solely because of his unprofessionalism and lack of customer service.

HG Remodel & Metal Works is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!…read more We honestly can't say enough good things about this locally owned and operated small business! Harry has done so many incredible projects in/at our home. Here's a quick rundown: 1. Replaced and installed a beautiful new custom metal railing and stairs for our loft. Seriously, the old railing looked like fencing you'd see around a pool and the stairs? Literally a ladder that felt very unsafe. 2. As part of our exterior remodel, Harry installed the same style custom metal railing for our new outdoor deck and stairway. However, prior to installation he treated the metal so it would have a rusted finish...LOVE! 3. He also created a beautiful entrance with the installation of metal rails and metal roofing to house our lighting on opposite sides of the driveway (also rusted for a more rustic look). 4. Lastly, he custom built and installed a metal structure to safely hang our new vintage swinging ski lift chair on our front porch. Let me just say...Harry's work is always top-notch! He's extremely professional, skilled, meticulous and such a pleasure to work with! We highly recommend HG Remodel & Metal Works! You won't be disappointed!

BE CAREFUL. Shady Billing Practices. But great service…read more I hired Controlled Hydronics to replace a boiler in my home. Terrific work and I wish I could say I would recommend them. However, they were VERY UNCLEAR about their billing practices and overcharged me for labor by 80%. They never provided us with a service agreement outlining their practices, then provided an estimate that was completely false (they gave us an estimate that conveniently "forgot" the 4 hours of work before that time... which made the estimate useless), said they would need more time without ever telling us how much "more" would be. Essentially, they have the freedom to charge you whatever they want. BE VERY CAREFUL if you hire them. Make them give you all things in writing. DOUBLE CHECK their lines items and ask for a breakdown their time. Our bill was seriously padded (2 hours to drop something off? No way. At $140 an hour, that is just taking my money.) Since they seem to work in mountain towns only, they must have customers who have money to spare. We do not. I don't have an extra $1000-1500 when a company says... we need more time. Don did not seem to care about my concerns when speaking with him and told me we signed paperwork we did not. He was not interested in keeping me as client, and could really careless about my experience. Again, great service. If you have money to spare, they are for you. If you want someone who gives you a fair price, it is NOT these guys.

This pipe is easily accessible, and the technician had equipment to detect where the leak was. The fix didn't even need tools to do the job. The only reason I didn't fix it myself is that we were out of town. The technician was on-site less than 1.5 hours, but the bill was for 2.5 hours. A company rep claimed that the extra time on the invoice was drive time. We were supposed to get a service contract before the technician came out, but we have yet to see that. They just invoice whatever they want. We never actually agreed to having them service the system. Their website says 'satisfaction guaranteed'. That's not the case. The photo shows what a $500 repair looks like.
