I previously rated Unrivaled Plumbing very high after they performed some emergency work at one of my properties. The work was fast and the price was fair, so calling on them seemed like a no brainer. The red flags started popping up when the information from scheduler and technician contradicted each other about an estimate. We were shocked when the technician arrived and quoted $1600 to install an 18" bathroom vanity and faucet and a kitchen sink faucet, all of which we provided, we simply needed installation. When the tech declared "our prices have gone up significantly", we should have chased him away. We reluctantly allowed the work because we trusted the company. Horrible. Decision. Despite attempts to obtain a cost breakdown of the labor and work, Unrivaled Plumbing has been less than transparent. When the tech was asked directly for the price for labor, he stumbled to come up with a response but eventually indicated "it's a flat rate". We asked for the rate again, but we were met with a non-response response. Several attempts were made to obtain an explanation for the exorbitant costs. At least three times we were told "our prices have gone up significantly" but they never offered an explanation or an adjustment. Two and a half hours work. The bathroom vanity and faucet installation cost was $892. The kitchen sink faucet installation cost was $758. Do the math, they tacked on an additional $50 than what was quoted. I did call a couple local plumbers who quoted me a price less than 1/2 what we were charged by Unrivaled Plumbing. Take their word for it: their "prices have gone up significantly". An error in judgement this time - we won't allow to happen again, but at least we can alert you with a heads-up. Needless to say, we won't be calling this company again.

Morris Electric, Inc., STAT!…read more So highly impressed with this company! We'd been having on-going problems with our treadmill in our home gym. Every time we turned it on it would trip the breaker. Thinking it would take forever to get an electrician out, I called Morris Electric, Inc. To our surprise, they were able to carve out some time in-between appointments and come the next morning! Let me just say, Sawyer (owner) and his assistant Kynson were da bomb!!! Even though we had a scheduled time-frame, they gave us a courtesy call to let us know they were on the way. We so appreciate when companies take the time to do this. Anyway, when they arrived...after a quick meet-and-greet they both removed their footwear and went to work! Both Sawyer and Kynson were professional, friendly, meticulous and extremely thorough. While the problem ultimately turned out to be the treadmill, we highly recommend them for all of your electrical needs and services. Will be calling them again for additional work soon! They were at my home for about 4 hours. Keaton drove in from Montrose and snarfed me $50 for that. They sourced the outdoor flood lights and motion activated model unit at the local Home Depot. They also bought 2 Lutron 3ways to replace by kitchen light switches. The motion sensor flood light was ~ $100, and the Lutron's are $30-50 (x2) and the garage lights were about $50 for a six pack and the LED and outdoor covers should be about $50. Two sconce lights were $25 apiece. Total for hardware should be about $350 plus $50 for travel is $400 by my math. Total cost of work was $1200. Assuming the cost of the hardware was $300 their labor was $800 for 8 hours work which is $100 per hour. Since I hail from Phoenix I am used to a more competitive market for this type of work. Labor was NOT separated from cost of materiel which made it difficult to figure out what their true rate was. Bottom line they did everything I asked expertly as delineated in the invoice. However, they may be too pricey for some. If I use them in the future, I will have them price and procure each hardware item and put in a spreadsheet so I can add them up before they start work. I would negotiate their rate to a reasonable amount before making another contract with them.

HG Remodel & Metal Works is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!…read more We honestly can't say enough good things about this locally owned and operated small business! Harry has done so many incredible projects in/at our home. Here's a quick rundown: 1. Replaced and installed a beautiful new custom metal railing and stairs for our loft. Seriously, the old railing looked like fencing you'd see around a pool and the stairs? Literally a ladder that felt very unsafe. 2. As part of our exterior remodel, Harry installed the same style custom metal railing for our new outdoor deck and stairway. However, prior to installation he treated the metal so it would have a rusted finish...LOVE! 3. He also created a beautiful entrance with the installation of metal rails and metal roofing to house our lighting on opposite sides of the driveway (also rusted for a more rustic look). 4. Lastly, he custom built and installed a metal structure to safely hang our new vintage swinging ski lift chair on our front porch. Let me just say...Harry's work is always top-notch!
