A Backyard Transformation by Rock Solid Landscape…read more From our very first conversations, Jeff approached the project with a rare combination of vision, creativity, and care. He took the time to truly understand what we were trying to create and made it even better. With the help of his designer, he provided a detailed visual rendering that allowed us to see what was possible before construction even began. Beyond the aesthetic transformation, Rock Solid Landscaping brought expertise that solved real, long-standing challenges. They completely addressed our severe drainage issues in both the front and back yards, protecting our home and creating peace of mind. Throughout the entire process, their professionalism was unwavering. The team showed up every day on time with consistency, discipline, and respect for our space, always leaving things clean and organized at the end of each day. But what truly stood out was their spirit. They were positive, kind, and cheerful in their work, and they worked very hard. Even during adjustments or changes, we were met with patience and openness. It never felt stressful; it felt like we were supported every step of the way. Jeff remained closely involved throughout the entire project, maintaining constant communication and showing up regularly, often multiple times a week to ensure everything was progressing as planned, to address questions and make sure we were happy with the progress. Jeff is not just an exceptional professional, he is an exceptional human being. He leads with integrity, kindness, and heart. He understands that what he builds isn't just landscape, it's part of people's lives, their memories, their joy. We are beyond grateful to Jeff and the entire Rock Solid Landscaping team for creating something so special. If you are looking for a company that excels in custom landscaping, outdoor living design, water features, patios, drainage solutions, and complete yard transformations, this is the team you want. They didn't just exceed our expectations, they created something magical. THANK YOU Jeff!!!

We live in a community that the HOA has strict requirements and a permit is required for all work…read more I contacted 3 qualified landscaping companies. Requested bids and designs to remove all the grass in the backyard, install sitting walls around trees with flag stone steps and zero scape setting. The rabbits and voles wreaked havoc in our backyard. We've had to replace our lawn twice. Jeff with Rock Solid Landscaping responded. We agreed to meet and walk the yard. We wanted 3 mounds with larger rocks around with native plants. The crew started everyday at 7am and worked until 4pm. They were always on time and worked a full day. This job was completed in 2 weeks. They delivered a porta potty, bobcat in front of our home. They put cones for safety. They are very organized, when dirt, rocks were delivered they moved to backyard. Then they swept the street and/or driveway to keep clean. Our neighbors complemented on the nice job of keeping street clean. Juan Carlos and his 2 workers were very well organized. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. I asked for a few Day Lillie's be transplanted back into the area. They installed a new drip system with an extension for me to plant my small veggie garden. We are very pleased with the entire process, price and worked they did. We highly recommend Rock Solid Landscaping.

We approached DRC this summer and started the process of planning a front yard landscape. bothy…read morehusband and I were really impressed with how responsive they were. we were pretty specific about the desert plants we wanted, and wanting certain features, as well as a wildflower bed. They worked around a couple of trees we wanted to keep, and cleaned them up nicely. Our entire irrigation system needed to be rebuilt as well. We worked primarily with Tracie (and Juan!) and they were amazing. Ultimately they were able to complete our job in less than a week, a month earlier than originally planned, and made substantial accommodations to work around the new road construction on our street. We're really happy with the new yard, and can't wait to see it fill out over the next couple of years. We highly recommend. As for prices, we had also reached out to another reputable landscaper in Reno and found DRC's on par with others, and a little less than what we were planning for. So all around, we are really pleased!

Smart, Talented, and Ethical…read more I hired them after the original landscaper cheated us on the new install. Green Lizard fixed everything, and helped up improve it beautifully over the years with their great ideas and expert capabilities. They won numerous awards for the work, and it helped our house to sell for a good price a few years later. They are the nicest, most pleasant people to work with, and use honorable labor practices, hiring only qualified, legal labor. Good landscaping isn't cheap, but their prices are fair, their billing practices are honest, and they're always on the lookout for a bargain (like a great tree at a bargain price.) They are great at everything from mundane seasonal cleanups to certified arborist work like installing a giant tree. They installed a massive stone sculptural fountain in a pre-existing courtyard and amazingly didn't scratch a surface, and it's worked perfectly for years. Of all the businesses and contractors I've worked with over the years in the Carson Valley, Green Lizard is by far the best, with not a single problem that wasn't resolved quickly and in a way that made me happy. Hire them for new install, remodeling, or maintenance. They're the best!
