In a strange but interesting turn of events, my children and I witnessed a squirrel in labor on one of the trails. A most unusual and unexpected sight I can promise you! I have to admit we got a bit more nature than we bargained for that day! Lol. My few qualms are these, it tends to be a very crowded place and the trail maps are not the clearest/ most accurate. A big improvement would be better trail maps (particularly with a "you are here" marker) and better signage throughout the trails. Overall though, it's a wonderful place for the community.

They have several playground sections that the kids were able to choose from. They checked out 4 of them and played for about 15 minutes on each. Biggest complaint is there are no bathrooms open during a nice day in March. They only had port o potties which are not ideal for children. I understand that they can't heat them all during the winter but you think one or them would be available under the office or the main park area especially with sports season starting.

I used the Red Blazed trail and it was fairly decent, nicely cleaned (except spider webs, which I find very annoying) and it was just barely over a mile. The end of it was a very steeeeeep uphill that'll get the heart racing and the sweat running! This park features full restrooms, parking and is pretty well blazed and easy to navigate. Definitely worth a visit!

She barged right past us multiple times while rushing to close the store at the end of the day with no manners what so ever. I was in the area this morning for a doctors appt., and saw this old cabin sitting in the woods in…read morethe valley. I walked over to it from the medical building next door. I found a cabin with a grave stone in the front yard, and a hiking trail through the woods. The trail was nice, and I walked for a little ways, but didn't have enough time to follow it all the way (Also, it is deer hunting season, and although there is a mailbox that says orange vests are available to wear, it was empty). I would like to come back again some time, and see the whole trail. There weren't really any signs that explained the history of the cabin, nor a trail map, which I would have liked, but otherwise, it's a nice little place to get out into some nature . . . Cheers!

The communication was great throughout. Our guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and on top of the responsibilities of the tour. This is a great activity to push yourself, but not in a way that you will regret it the next day. A great time had by all! I would highly recommend this company or use them again if I was to book a trip like this.

The river is generally calm. Some bumps but no big waves. Lunch was smoked ham and turkey wrap. A cookie and an apple. Guide tried to make it more fun using the rafts as a slide, and also showing us a jumping rock. We had a great time. I'd love to try the more advanced rapids sometime!
