I rarely give 5 stars, but this is an exception. Everytime i've been here (weekdays and weekends,…read moreevenings and afternoons, busy and quiet) i've had both amazing service and even better food. Intimate seating area inside and in the summer, outside, with another part downstairs. The bar is small, but great value (the beer here is cheaper than in most pubs in the area) and the service is always fast, polite and welcoming. The food is good, considering you can get a starter, main, side and drink all for easily under £15. Lunch time is happy hour, with set meals for less than £5. Great selection of meats and Taiwanese dishes on the menu. Opposite Goldsmiths college and just off the main strip (New Cross Road), the crowed here is always good. I couldn't recommend this place enough, especially if you are in the area.

I had their spicy ground beef larb with coconut rice and was impressed, it WAS spicy and hot. Most Thai places play down the spice factor but they sure don't here. It doesn't look like much from the outside and I was here on a Saturday night and the place was empty. Nonetheless the girl here was really friendly the food was perfectly fine and the prices are beyond reasonable. I love finding places off the tourist radar.

I just wanted to clarify a few points that were raised above but not fully discussed: 1) This restaurant does NOT serve any alcohol at all. Consequently, they do allow you to bring your own wine (which is great for saving money). So be sure to stop into one of the local shops on your way there and buy a bottle of wine. 2) Space is VERY limited. The restaurant is basically the dining room of an old house that's been converted into a restaurant. So it can get very crowded. Be sure to call first and make a reservation. I've seen people waiting outside this place for 30-40 minutes to get a table otherwise, and the first thing the waiter asks to in-coming customers is "Do you have a reservation?" And it can get crowded on week-days as well as weekends.

Take out is also a great option as the restaurant works pretty quickly, you just have to make sure you have cash as the restaurant is not registered on just eat or hungry house. The dishes are great value for money. My all time favourites are the massaman and yellow curry with coconut rice. Pad thai and pad see eew are amongst the best I've had in London. A diverse menu that would please a big group. They also have a selection of delectable starters and tasty salads that will make sure you don't leave hungry. They also allow bring your own so it's a great cheap and cheerful night out catching up wih friends.

Squid tempura was soooooooo good, light crunchy batter, squid sooooooooo tender and tasty. Larb was soooooooo good! Pad Thai with prawns was sooooooooo good too! Even though we asked to make the dishes "Thai spicy", they were not that spicy. So they brought us a side of chilies. Dried powder, as they always do, but this place is one of the rarest places where they actually brought us FRESH chopped chilies too!!!! Sooooooooo good! Prices are very reasonable too, even for dinner. Next time I'm in London, I will absolutely come back here!!!!!

If she did say this i can understand why; it's definitely the best Thai food i've ever eaten. The meals taste fresh and flavoursome and they tell me that a lot of their ingredients are flown over from Thailand weekly. if you turn up with a a group of at least four people you can get a set meal for 20 pounds but to be honest i think it's better value to choose from the a la carte menu. Their prawn tempura starter is gorgeous and the Gai pad khing is delicious and only about 7 quid for a main course. They also have a selection of wines. They have some gorgeous ice creams and sorbets and their Thai pancakes are great. The quality of the light, delicate and delicious food is top notch and it's great value for money. Presentation of dishes is great in their jade coloured dishes and the restaurant is lovely. The service is brilliant and if you go there during the Wimbledon Tennis weeks you are guaranteed to spot some of the top talent of the tennis world.

I was actually told about this restaurant by someone I met in Rome when I mentioned I was going to move to Shepherds Bush in 2003. Since then it's been a fixture, both to eat in or order take away. Thai cooking is a real favourite of mine and I would say that Jasmine can hold its own against even the really expensive restaurants like Mango Tree and other great mid-range restaurants like Busabaeathai. It's worth getting the selection of starters and then, I have eaten and enjoyed every mouthful of the following: Yellow Curry, Jungle Curry, Red Curry, Green Curry, Chuchi Pla (spiced roast trout), Sea On Fire (fiercely spicy seafood dish), and many of the noodle dishes too. The sticky rice is great and they have a decent selection of beers if eating in. Never had a complaint about this place- and it beats the other Thai places in the postcode hands down.

I kept hearing about this traditional pie place located on a lower level of the Covent Garden Market and apparently you gotta have a pie when visiting. Overall, the pie was pretty good! flaky shell pastry and chunks of chicken inside. What else can you ask for in a savory pie. Portion size was also very generous. I ate probably 3/4 (I was quite hungry), but was able to have the last quarter for lunch the next day. It held up great, too! I also appreciate the study take away containers! The hard-sealing containers made it certain that the contents wouldn't spill out. Highly recommend! Very good! 2022: 109/100
