The restaurant is in a relatively old building in the High Street, and there are some framed pottery and descriptions on the wall inside the restaurant. The restaurant itself is larger than it looks and extends back into the building. The food is Malaysian (duh!) which is like Chinese but with spicier influences similar to Thai or Indonesian. We had a mixed starter which comprised of prawn toast, vegetable spring roll, samosa, chicken satay and some other morsels: it was all nice and tasty. We followed this with Rendang Kam Bing an aromatic slow-cooked lamb with coconut lemon grass and chilli dish; Ayam Goreng Sambal deep fried chicken with a fragrant shrimp and chilli paste; their version of Singapore noodles; Mee Goreng Ayam rice vermicelli pan fried with chicken and egg. All the dishes were tasty, with quite a lot of thinly sliced chillies as garnish, but the highlight was the lamb it was very tasty and the meat was falling apart. We followed this with a couple of authentic Malaysian speciality desserts, they were both nice, but one would have been enough between the two of us. They have a wonderful selection of authentic malaysian food. And being from Malaysia myself, I can say it is definitely comparatively delicious. They give out free prawn crackers as an appetitzer for free! Seeing as they named "satay" as part of the restaurant, I was inclined to give it a try. It turned out to be the best satay chicken I've ever had! Perfectly grilled, scumptiously juicy, and paired with a mouth watering peanut sauce. If there is anything you must try from this place, you MUST try the satay! :) Most dishes are priced around ~6 pounds and the proportion size is good. Because of its relatively small size, the workers are rather attentive to their customers, as they often make sure the waters are filled and everything else is okay.
