I'd give zero stars if I could. I called Montgomery Blinds to get a second opinion on the purchase of window treatments. This guy's words to me were "I've been 30 years in the business; and, I'm not really interested if you're just kicking tires." In other words, if I was doing a little responsible comparison shopping, he didn't want to waste his time with me. My blinds were originally installed by Montgomery Blinds. They were great. Recently a bracket disengaged and blinds were sagging in one area. Called to report the problem, they showed up to repair them the next day. I call that excellent service! read more

We needed new window coverings for our new (to us) house. We got two quotes for wooden shutter blinds and Montgomery Blinds offered the best price and customer service BY FAR. Andy came and worked with us on what we needed and brought samples so we could decide what would look best with our architecture and needs. He also gave us temporary paper blinds to block some of the light while we waited for our order. Andy kept in touch to let us know the status of the order. He booked our installation day two weeks in advance and they were done in about 5-6 hours - we had roughly 22 shutters installed including skylight shutters. He flagged an issue with one of our windows (mold) so that we could have it remediated prior to installation. I couldn't recommend Andy and his crew more. He was wonderful to work with! read more

Can't really say enough good things about Montgomery Blinds and working with Andy. Between moving into a new construction home and all the things that go along with that, this was BY FAR the easiest part of the entire process. Andy made sure to explain the nuisances and trade offs to us since we were first time blind customers. He always gave us all the options and then provided a recommendation but zero pressure -- never was pushing us to make a decision or buy the more expensive option. For one odd shape window he made a great recommendation to not get a blind through him and order something off Amazon ( a different vendor gave us an $800 quote for that one window, Andy's recommendation was $15). Andy gave us about 3-5 recommendations that were different from his competitor, and they were all great choices. We are so happy we went with him. I had my blinds installed years ago by Kirk/Kurt (cant quite remember his name, of Montgomery blinds. he was a very nice guy, told me he was doing it while in school. he did the entire house except for two windows in the kids room. my experience was great until now. Years later i'm having trouble with a remote controlled blind I had installed by my deck. I contacted Montgomery Blind and Andy answered he was very nice and told me he was not the person who serviced my location. He gave me Joanne's contact info because he remembers her son in-law being in college and servicing my area. I called Joanne and left a few messages with no reply, then finally she picked up and told me she has been busy her grand daughter was getting christened so she would get back to me after. I let a week go by and no call back so I reached out again she then told me that they had a family vacation and would let Kirk get back to me. This was since May and up to now I cant get anyone to look at the blinds to let me know if the blinds can fixed or if I need to replace it. This is one of the main reason's people some times go with larger companies, Joanne's customer service was not up to par with the service they gave me when i was purchasing the blinds.
