The sales rep arrived at my home on time and wearing a mask. He brought a full line of samples to choose from, and explained the installation process and timeline. He measured all my windows and provided me with a very competitive quoted price, which I accepted. A couple of weeks later, on the day of the installation, the installer arrived on time and was done in about 1 1/2 hours. He did a great job. Big mistake to go with this outlet of Budget Blinds. While the blinds ended up being fine, the…read moreservice and installation was a train wreck. I should have known by the outdated way they do business. You have to call or submit a call-back on their website (Next Day Blinds is all done online), and then the owner calls you at odd hours a lot until you pick up or call back- I felt like I was the only potential business he had in the queue. The person who came to do the estimate is a career salesman, making pleasant small talk during the over an hour measuring and estimate visit. I live in an apartment- this was a small job. He was exceedingly nice and super slow. He really made me think I'd be a very happy customer. I decided to go with BB because the price was slightly better than NDB, and the salesman convinced me the quality was superior. So what that it would take two weeks to make and install the blinds vs. NDB's next day promise. I decided to go with BB and had to call in with my credit card number- not super comfortable with that. The salesman told me it was a 50% deposit to order, and guess what. Not only did they charge the full amount, they overcharged me by $50. It took two contacts to get the difference refunded. Oh, and then they didn't call me in the promised two weeks. When they did, the installer did not show up at the agreed upon time. An hour later, I call and the owner tells me the installer is delayed, but will come over after another job. The installer calls me to say he'll be another half hour. No apology at all. When he does show up it is an absolute d-word. No apology again. My husbands offers him water, to which he barks back "no." Not, "no, thank you," or some form of civilized appreciation. It doesn't end there. They did not bring the right type of valance, so now I have new blinds with ugly tops. The installer finishes and says someone will call about that, and he leaves without saying anything else. Do I get a call back about the valances? Nope. I called and the owner said it would take a week. I'll spare you the back and forth- from the time I had the salesman in my home to finished blinds it was two months! The owner never apologized for the delay, which tells you this is business as usual here.

With regards to the heating of our home, the windows were no better than screens. I reached out, looking for windows and installers. I had a few people come in and estimate the job. None of them impressed me until Greg from Windows on Washington came over. He walked me through several options and explained how the windows they used were manufactured and why. Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are.
