Great food but the ambiance is by far the best. I got the baked rigatoni and the provolone wedges

This was definitely an experience! We wanted singing "different" for dinner, we got that! They give you a tour when you arrive giving you facts about the place and the legends therein. The food was good, Wait staff was very personable, I would try it again!

I was super optimistic to try Monteleone's as it is talked about all over El Paso. Unfortunately our experience was terrible and I never plan to go back. The place is cool. It has a cool ambiance, creepy lights and rooms. However, we waited in the front where it says please wait to be seated for about 40 min. When we walked in and the whole time we waited there were open tables available. At one point a waiter came to ask how many people we had, which was only 2, and then he walked away and didn't seat us. Eventually someone sat us down in the empty table that had been empty since we arrived. When we finally ordered they came back to say they were out of soup so we had to have salad. We got our salads but there were no silverware so we asked for silverware. It took about 10 min for the waitress to bring silverware so we sat there with our salads just looking at them. Finally our dinner arrived- we both ordered the chicken parmigiana. It was the worse chicken parmigiana I have ever had. It wasn't breaded and the chicken was tough and dry. It tasted like it was microwaved. The spaghetti was super watery and gross. Overall the wait took forever and the food sucked. We commented to the waitress that the chicken was bad and she did only charge us a minimal amount for the spaghetti and took the chicken part off, but it didn't make up for the bad experience.

We really enjoyed the food! My husband got the trio of calzones and boy they were tasty. We brought a small cooler and beer for my husband, as they are working on their alchohol sales. You can bring your own drinks, and they provided cold cups for him to enjoy his beers! My kids pizzas were so good! It was a tad warm in there, so know that they are most likely using refrigerated A.C. Be patient and soak in the ambience. If you want something faster and more hip, this is not it. This place is for the experience, and the food, wow!

This little hole in the wall Italian restaurant is an experience worth embarking on! There is parking in the back of the restaurant (or theres usually space on the street to the side of it)! If you aren't paying attention, you'll drive right by it because it. However, once you see it you can't unsee it! I got the cheese ravioli & it was good! It may have needed a little salt, but the cheese inside was delicious & the serving size was perfect. Inside, it's very dark.. sort of a "Godfather" feel. It's very cool! The only downside is that it can be hard to read the menu haha. But the wait staff was super friendly and attentive and it has a homey vibe!

Love this place! We stopped in on vacation really wanting some good Italian and we got it and some entertaining kitsch too! What a fun place to stop for a nice cooked to order chicken Parm or perfectly done lasagna. We'll be back.

There are two specific reasons I have always wanted to go to Monteleone's: 1. The giant face painted on the side of the building with the words 'Speakeasy' next to it and 2. Because of the ghosts. I'm not exactly a believer in ghosts (that's a bit of an understatement), but I love going to places that people claim are haunted or have some kind of presence. I may be a tad more skeptical than the normal El Pasoan, but as many haunted places as I've been, I have yet to see anything remotely unworldly. But that doesn't make it any less fun. Monteleone's was actually on Sy-fy's Paranormal Witness earlier this year. Supposedly there was some kind of portal that was allowing evil spirits into the business. Since it's discovery, it's been sealed or closed or whatever the hell a medium does with a portal so no one can cross it, but apparently the medium left three friendly ghosts in Monteleone's. I unfortunately didn't encounter any of the ghosts, but luckily the ambiance made up for the lack of paranormal activity. I came in through the back and from the outside was expecting something a lot smaller. From the back you walk into a hallway that seems like a tunnel in a cave. If you go straight, there's tables...but that room just seems like an overflow for the main dinning area. I circled back and took the left that I should've originally taken. The whole place is decorated with props from old movies and it's prohibition/mob/rat pack themed. Pretty awesome. Not gonna lie, when you're walking to the main dinning area there's a display on the right that's just kind of creepy...you just feel like the things are going to move. They didn't, but if I was a ghost, that's the kind of tricks I'd play on unsuspecting customer (here's to hoping the ghosts have internet access and read this review). Monteleone's is family owned and everyone working is a sweetheart. There really isn't that long of a wait for food even though it comes out hot and fresh. I ended up having the Zucchini Sticks, Fettuccine Alfredo, and the Tiramisu. Overall I like the food my only comment would be the zucchini and fettuccine could've used a bit more salt...but I can always add my own salt and I'd rather eat at a place that doesn't put enough salt than a place that puts too much salt. So Monteleone's is still okay in my books. Overall, I like the food, but the experience is what has me totally sold on Monteleone's. And if anyone else goes and has a ghost encounter at Monteleone's please, please, PLEASE for the love of everything that makes me happy in this world, TELL ME ABOUT IT!

One small roll per person. It didn't have or provided any butter or garlic spread.

First off, I was here in El Paso for a work trip and I was craving some pasta but wanted some fish…read more So my beautiful girlfriend sent me the link for this place and I instantly knew it was going to be fantastic. I ordered the Farfalle Bella Sera with shrimp and no chicken, lobster bisque came with it and I ordered 6 slices of their garlic toast, TO GO. Let me TELL YA, this food was piping hot when I picked it up. The garlic toast slices paired so well with the lobster bisque, I called my girlfriend and told her I fainted of a food orgasm. I obliterated the garlic toast slices and lobster bisque BEFORE I opened my pasta. Absolutely amazing. Now comes the Farfalle - the sauce was so perfectly seasoned, I can't even tell you how delicious that first bite was. The actual pasta, was so perfectly cooked, I couldn't believe it. What they don't tell you, is that they include a small loaf of bread that's sliced for dipping - you can bet your butt, those piece of bread surfed throughout my pasta engulfment. The shrimp was so tender and delicious, I couldn't stop eating. I saved 2 pieces of bread to surf the tsunami of deliciousness of the leftover sauce after the pasta poofed from container into my stomach. All in all, I am so glad I took it to go because if I had to eat there, they would've either had to put me on a dolly to roll me out, or I would've had to roll myself out. I couldn't move after I ate the entire meal. It was so unbelievably fantastic, I highly recommend you come here and tell them that BOB sent you - from YELP.

Amazing service, delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and a perfect dessert to top things off.read more

When we found out that we could order via catering I went straight for it. I let my wife know and she got excited like I was. We ordered our favorite chicken Parmesan and it came with four servings of the chicken Parmesan, a full tray of spaghetti with the sauce, a full tray of the garlic bread, a full tray of the salad, and with all the fixings in assorted to go containers, and it costs just over 60 bucks. When I brought it home it was memory Lane for our taste buds and for our stomach. And triggered off all the memories that we talked about when Cappettos used to be open on Montana. It would be great if they could reopen that building I believe it's still standing I'm not sure. Or just reopened. Period! We're definitely going to do a repeat reordering because they're still so much more of the menu to revisit. We're looking forward to it

Available for free pick-up or delivery with a delivery fee. *I'm in a Cappetto's Fan Page on facebook and came across a fellow fanatic who posted this tidbit of news lol. I was to finally be reunited with my seafood fettuccine and was counting down the days. I marked it for pickup and the prices for the amount of food was A STEAL. Make sure to order extra garlic bread because you will open up the catering pan and eat a few on your way home. They have a half tray of 24 slices of garlic bread and salad for $20. Once I got home, I started realizing that the amount of sauce for the fettuccine was more than enough. We honestly had leftover to dip bread in for the next few days. The pasta for a half tray was about $60 and fed our family. The breakdown per cost per plate is definitely max bang for your buck. Every bite was my childhood and upbringing coming back to life. I was in disbelief I was having my favorite dish in El Paso once again. My family now knows we will have A Taste of Cappetto's everytime I'm back in town. Honestly, I jokingly would make a comment I'd sell my kidney for Cappetto's again so IDK if I'm now contractually obligated to this with someone out there in the universe.

The restaurant has a charming French vibe that makes it a pleasant place to sit down and enjoy a meal. I ordered a rosé, but the pour was surprisingly small. It honestly felt more like a tasting portion than a standard glass, which was a little disappointing. For food, I tried the fromage raclette. It was good, but I'm not sure it was worth the $29 price tag. I finished it because I was hungry, but it didn't really stand out or feel like something special. I don't mind paying higher prices when a dish is amazing, but San Antonio really has no business charging that much for something that's just okay. It's not California or New York, and the cost of living here isn't the same, so the value just didn't quite add up. Overall, great service and a nice atmosphere, but the value for what I ordered didn't completely match the price.

They did ask if we had a reservation - we didn't, but we lucked out. Isaac seated us and presented us to Alyssa. She got us our drinks and the kids waters. Now, I'd never say this place is kid friendly, but Alyssa was very kind to them. We ordered a couple of drinks and some appetizers to munch on before Winterfest. They make good drinks. I went with one of my faves, the cilantro and jalapenos margie, refreshing. Liz went with a guava margarita, sweet. The flatbreads were great. Not filling, and a good shareable. The kids split a a BLT. The calamari is also good. Next time I might think about the Peruvian salmon tiradito. It's a classy joint, it's on our go to list to impress folks, and it has never failed us on location, drinks or eats. It's a nice place to take that special someone. Recommend.
