Mushroom risotto with…read moreshrimp is described as "Arborio rice, shrimp, asparagus, in a wild porcini mushroom sauce" What came out was a molded risotto with 4 - 21/25 count shrimp that were over grilled/over cooked. The rice while cooked properly was bland lacking correct seasoning. The stuffed pork chop special was to be stuffed with prosciutto and a provolone or mozz cheese. No prosciutto inside and the pork chop which was a rib about an inch thick sliced horizontally for stuffing was over cooked and tough. Sauce was excellent however. Also at 39.00, the price way over priced for an 8 oz rib pork chop, that wasnt prepared properly to boot. Should have been 25/30 dollars for this type of dish - did not deserve a "special price". No one came by after entrees were placed to ask how the entrees were. TBH honest I should have sent my dish back as it was barely edible due toughness - should have been cooked medium with pink inside. Desserts were excellent cappuccino great as well. Disappointed in the entrees. Have been coming here for years for dinner and special occasions.

However, I was highly disappointed with the way we were treated. The service we received was not up to the standards that Giumarello's holds. For example, we each got a cocktail and two of us split an appetizer. The menus were not taken from out table for over 40 minutes after we all had ordered. We received no plates, no napkins, and no utensils the whole time. We had to send two drinks back because they were not what we ordered. We also got charged for an extra martini that we did not order.

I love how huge the bar area is and how you can also sit at high tops. Service was friendly and extremely efficient. Drinks were delicious and boozy. Martini menu was a nice size. We ordered a cucumber and a pear. Staff members were checking in with us periodically to make sure we were ok or if we wanted to order food. Great service. Valet was efficient and made getting in and out a breeze. I had eaten here in the bar area a couple of years ago but did not write a review. Definitely recommend this spot. I wish I lived closer.

The calamari was especially good. The complimentary bread and oil was delicious. The gnocchi was also very light and tasty. Our party of four enjoyed Michael's coastal and would return. We were very impressed with the offerings for the special and excited to try it. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and sat immediately. There were surprisingly only 4 other tables at this time. We were immediately greeted by our server Tara who was very nice and explained everything on the special menu. From start to finish the experience and food were a 10/10! We both started with the complimentary bread and oil which was so good! Followed by the tomato pie also very good! For the first course I started with the calamari, which was incredible and my wife got the pork ribs, which was also very good. For the second course, I got the spaghetti which was amazing and my wife got the gnocchi which she too loved. For the third course, I got the beef medallions which were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. My wife got the chicken cutlet, which was huge, but she really enjoyed it and we got to take the rest of it home for lunch the next day. For the fourth course, I got the caramel custard and my wife got the cannoli. The caramel custard was honestly one of the best desserts I ever had. The experience was a 10 out of 10 and we will be returning and recommending to everyone we know!

In town for a visit and decided to try Verona Ristorante Italiano. They hit on all cylinders. Verona lets you bring your own wine, which is amazing. At my host's recommendation I had the tomato tower appetizer, but if it's in season, jersey tomatoes, you gotta have one. I had the Seafood Fra Diavolo chock full of mussels, scallops and shrimp, and finished with a crème brûlée and coffee. Bellisima! The two rooms were full and a line formed by 8pm so get a reservation. Despite hitting capacity, conversation was easy. And the BYOB wine was just what the doctor ordered!

From their bread basket with butter and pesto spread, their soup special (shrimp bisque) and entrees were nothing but quality. My only concern (not complain) was that the pesto spread was taken away while my wife was still finishing her bread and trying to take some the spread - nothing major, but guess they were trying to make room on the table for the entrees (I guess). We finished with their desserts (Tiramisu, tres leche and creme burlee). Will definitely be back and not to forget it's BYOB.

We opted for the 4 course meal at $55 per person. It was nice for us to be able to try a little bit of everything and it was more than enough food for the two of us. Our favorites were the meatballs and bone marrow! Pastas were fresh and amazingly well flavored and cooked. Limoncello cake was the best dessert. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.
