Used to eat here quite a bit. However, on our last visit the server gave himself an extra tip on our credit card. I don't know if this was a mistake or intentional, but I went in when I saw what had happened. The manager gave me my money back for the difference on what we had actually left as a tip (which was not stingy), and said that he couldn't believe I would come in for a few dollars. Server charged us extra for "patron margarita" when we ordered a regular margarita. We disputed the extra charge and the server proceeded to suggest that we're drunk and wrong and that he knows we ordered Patron in our margarita. Another customer did not like my arguing with my server and got in my face and grabbed my female friend's wrist in an aggressive manner. After that was defused, I asked to speak to a manager for this completely inappropriate experience and each person I asked told me there was no manager. The person who processed to ring our bill up continued to mock us and say we must be drunk and did nothing to apologize. Food is always either cold or dry with no taste. The service is horrible! Let's just say I order a taco salad and who would think the plate would be scorching hot! Well mine was the and the jerk of a waiter didn't bother to tell me. When I told him next time let your customers know the plate is hot like other people do. I've only been here once but we loved it! I'm very picky with Mexican restaurants considering I'm Mexican. So if I like this place you know it's good! Anyway! I think I got the burritos típicos it was 2 burritos & I think it came with a side of rice & beans. I got the churros for dessert, enough for 2 people, they were pretty good! The service was GREAT. We ate here several times and always enjoyed the meal and pleasant staff. I am surprised it received a poor review from a patron. Maybe it was a bad day. The food is authentic Mexican and reasonably priced. They serve chips and salsa free with the meal and service is quick. Combination plates (for example: one taco, two enchiladas and rice or beans) cost only $6.50 as of this writing. You tell me where you can get a good sit-down meal for two for under $15.00? Finally went here yesterday after months of eying this place on the way to Tanglewood Dog Park. To me, it did not stand unique in the sea of bland Americanized Mexican restaurants available to us in the triad. However, there were a couple bright spots which will make me return. Chips and salsa were above average. Chips seemed housemade and the salsa was fresh tasting and very tasty. Ordered the chunky guacamole and it was not only delicious, but also a steal at $2 and change. For lunch I made the mistake of getting the lunch size shrimp fajitas, which were just basically 2 kinda plain tacos. A bit disappointing because I was expecting sizzling veg and at least rice and beans. Sides are my favorite part of any dining experience so I was quite crestfallen, but the shrimp were tasty and very well cooked. I have a suspicion that this place cooks seafood well as my husband's chipotle scallop dish was perfectly cooked as well, but in our opinion should have erred less on the BBQ/ketchup side and more on the chipotle side as advertised. So I think next time we will be much better prepared, I will def help myself to the full-size dinner fajitas and we will wash this down with a pitcher of Dos Equis for $7.50, which is potentially the deal of the century! read more

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. There was no wait - plenty of seats available. The lunch menu is very affordable. $4.29 - $9.99. I ordered the chili relleno, taco, refrieds, and gauc salad. I only had time to enjoy a handful of the chips and salsa before my three plates arrived. All was very good and very hot. My water glasss never fell below half full. This is your typical Mexican restaurant - huge menu, packed, and the food is fast. The food is solid but nothing special. They definitely do not try to be healthy or use fresh ingredients but good nonetheless. The fajitas are overcooked and the vegie selections isn't great. I don't eat meat but my husband says its hit or miss - sometimes the cuts of pork of good and sometimes not. Super nice wait staff - they always remember us. Food was decent but the overall experience was ruined by the septic tank smell coming from the bathroom. Friday night we had to wait 5 minutes for a table for 6. They had 1 or 2 small booths available. The place was packed and loud. The salsa was ok. The chips were good. The food was really good except for the carne asada was cut so thin that when they fried the chimichanga it turned the end pieces of meat into leather. The portion sizes were average. We used to come to this restaurant quite often and always loved it. There is a new person in charge or maybe he just works on certain days. He was very rude and unprofessionally. The dish my son ordered came out wrong so we let him know. Without letting him explain what was wrong, the person stormed off mad. Then he brought the dish back out again and it was still wrong. We could have lived with that and keep it, if he hadn't stormed off like that. Then when it was time to pay there was no apology or any kind of acknowledgment. He didn't even look at me. Very sad. My family used to eat here at least twice a month, the food is very good and service is normally very friendly. We happened to come in on a Sunday during lunch and they were very unprepared as the hostess was our server. We had quite a few errors with the orders and once they were supposed to be corrected and came back wrong a second time, we asked to speak to the manager. It was very frustrating that there were servers waking by us left and right but we waited forever to even get refills. Once we spoke with the manager, his attitude was so awful he might as well have rolled his eyes. He thought he was correcting us on what we ordered when he was not our server and the hostess didn't write down our party of sevens order. Needless to say, the food quality can't redeem a managers negative un-concerning attitude. It was very unprofessional. We hate that it took away one of our Sunday dining options. read more

The food is good and arrives at your table quickly. The wait staff is also friendly, efficient and quick. However, I do have an issue with some of the attempts at humor from one of the male workers. He often waits on me when I am there. He is either my server or the person at the front register that takes my payment. I understand that he is trying to be funny and make jokes, but he can go too far. After eating there today, he made fun of my pronunciation of a word and basically humiliated me in front of a line of people waiting to pay. I don't make fun of his accent or his pronunciations of English terms. I would like the same courtesy in return. I don't come to the restaurant to be put down or made fun of. read more

Owner/Manager is rude and cheap. I asked waiter for a little extra guac and sour cream to find that I have a $2.75 charge on my ticket for "guac dip". I asked cashier if this was correct. She was backing up the waiter's ticket and the owner came over and asked what the problem was. I kindly told the owner that I was overcharged. He said that I wasn't. "IT'S IN THE MENU" I tried to tell him that I did not ask for GUAC DIP. He started to argue with me! What kind of manager, no, OWNER does this?
