When I took the leap and moved over to Dr. Matz, I realized that I had really been missing out on great service. Dr. Matz's office staff is top notch. My aunt doesn't work there any longer and I don't personally know any of these people. However, whenever I go in for my checkup, I'm always greeted, warmly. The hygienist that is always very nice and carries on interesting conversations. My favorite thing about Dr. Matz is that he takes the time to get to know you. If you are apprehensive about going to a dentist, Dr. Matz would be a good dentist to go to. He'll put your fears at ease quickly.

I've wasted so much money here DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. Most recently, I came in for a teeth whitening. First, they didn't do the trays right, so I had to come back in so they could redo them. Then, they gave me the wrong amount of whitening stuff so I had to go back AGAIN. They wouldn't admit their mistake and threatened to charge me another $400 if i didn't come back to pick up my trays (?!?). I will be cancelling my next appointment there. Spare yourself the time and money and just don't go here.

However, when I had to switch dentists I wanted to make sure I picked a good one so I was a little nervous. My first visit was to repair a chipped tooth and to get a routine cleaning. Everything went smoothly as far as insurance and pricing. My repairs were done quickly, painlessly, and the problematic reoccurring chip I had repaired has stayed fixed for almost two years now. (which is good compared to having it fixed every 6 months before) Scheduling was easy and I even had the option of getting email and text notifications about my appointments and scheduled cleanings. I also appreciated the flat screen TV connected to my tv. Seriously, if I totally got my moneys worth, my teeth fixed and I could watch Oprah. What more could I ask for?

It seems like this clinic nickels and dimes. Their work isn't that great of quality, and they push…read moreunnecessary, or more expensive procedures. They twice told me I needed a crown instead of fillings. I got one of the crowns done, and then switched insurance to a very expensive one so on Jan 1st I'd be able to get the other one done. (They were not happy I wanted to wait a month and a half to get a crown). I saw a new dentist in January and he said I just needed a deep filling, and looked over my X-rays and said I never needed the first crown. They upsold me on a laser gum treatment and told me insurance would cover it.... It covered $40? I paid the remaining $150 out of pocket. I also got a bill from them 7 months post service saying insurance didn't cover something. When I looked at my insurance, it was denied for failure to submit the claim in a timely fashion. It took 3 phone calls before I finally said: "it looks like it was denied because it wasn't submitted by your staff on time, is that what you're seeing on your end" and magically the bill disappeared. Great personalities, terrible people, terrible treatment.
