When I requested an exchange of a fountain pen I'd purchased the week before (nibs are peculiar, I get it), I was kept waiting for over an hour with no explanation and then told I was not allowed to make the exchange. Upon entering after being let in by the staff. Most of the stores in the galleria are limited in capacity due to C-19. So an employee unhooks the rope and lets you in. After entering your greeted and everything. They have very good ventilation in the store as well as good low-key led lighting. The employees are very very friendly and professional. Also they're the non pressuring sales type. All the times I've been here. Never felt pressured to buy anything. The staff lets you demo any pen in the store really. The employees are very knowledgeable. Had asked a few questions about a limited edition pen and they knew all the answers. Definitely a plus. The store is fully stocked and loaded with ink. On December 30, 2021, I went to the Mont Blanc store at Tyson's 2 Mall to purchase a pen. I had an American Express Platinum offer for $100 off $400 purchase, so I was going to use it. As I was being helped by the salesperson, I inquired whether there was a discount for Diplomats, as I hold a Diplomatic Passport. Before the salesperson could respond, the manager interrupted and said "no, we will charge more." I suppose this came off as a joke, but didn't really laugh, when I presented my credentials. The salesperson then said no. Later on, I asked whether the business was like a car dealership, where if I left prior to buying I'd get a call back for a lower price. Again, the manager interrupted and said "no, it'll cost double then." The remarks from the manager came off very rude, snide, and sarcastic. I was prepared to buy the pen, but this manager's remarks were very offensive, and I could not be a customer at the business for that reason. The manager needs to be more respectful, and not interrupt his salesperson's sale. There is terrible customer service at this business and the manager does not set a good example for his employees. 5/06/16--I'd been contemplating a gift for a distinguished Hampton University graduate for months. A knowledgeable male associate started engaging me, guided me through Mont Blanc's interesting history then led me to the writing desk where I tried ballpoint and fineliner pens from the contemporary StarWalker collection. The associate provided additional info that helped me make a decision. It was a very comfortable transaction--no undue pressure. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Picked up a great pen after much patience and assistance from several of the sales staff who were tireless in making sure I made the right choice. Interestingly, the one I ultimately picked turned out not to be the one for me and when I called a few days later about my choice, I was told that it was not a problem and to bring it right back for an exchange. Woohoo, no problem at all! They just wanted me to be confident in my choice and that second chance was what it took. Well done going the distance to ensure customer satisfaction. Also of note, their sales manager is very well versed and a veteran of the watch world. He is a great resource if you want to have a substantive conversation about watches beyond what Mont Blanc provides to their sales staff in training. My first visit to purchase the pen was great- I tried many pens and the sales staff were very patient. I ended up buying a very pricey pen as it was going to be something I loved and could pass on. I finalized my decision with a specific size nib and was told it was a special order and would take 4-6 weeks before I received it. I was fine with that as I wanted it done right. After 5 weeks, I had heard nothing and called and emailed to inquire on delivery time. I was told it was still not ready but the store would follow up with an estimate of time. True to their word I received an email that it would be another week as the nib was on back order in Germany. After not hearing anything after a few weeks, I called and emailed again and was told it was a supply issue and still not ready. I expressed my disappointment in the fact that had I known the process could have taken this long I would have chosen something else and could they give me any consideration. I was told they were sorry but no. After another week I called again and was told it had made it to Texas to be personalized and they would try to get it express shipped. About 3 days later I got a call that it was available for pick up. I told them I would come in within 15 minutes to pick it up as I was in the area. Unfortunately, when I arrived it was wry busy and I had to wait about 20 Minutes to get help. My biggest disappointment and why I am rating Mont Blanc a 3 star is- 1. I had to always be the one to follow up to get a status. 2. Lack of expectation setting once they were aware of a supply issue. 3. At pick up they didn't even greet me or acknowledge me and then could not even find my pen yet had just called me 15 min before to come get it. 4. No consideration of extra ink or a case or even paper or something. Finally, the most disappointing thing was my final purchase experience. I got no welcome when I came to pick it up even the manager who had called me didn't even take the time to greet me or ask me how I liked the pen. No sorry for waiting, no can I get you a drink, no apology for the delay and absolutely no feeling of congratulations on a very nice purchase and making me feel like I had just bought an exceptional piece. They also were giving me a very expensive item in a plastic wrap with no box or way to travel with it. After I asked for a box and received one it was too small to fit and again I was so disappointing as with all the delay and issue I would have thought they would have presented my purchase better and at least out of courtesy made my final experience better to make up for the delay. I like the pen and the quality and that is the only reason why I did not return it. read more

I'm not a big fan of Tysons Galleria because of stores like Montblanc. I've visited the store multiple times for service of my Montblanc pen. Each time I found the staff to be pompous if not rude. The first service was not done well and the pen was returned to me in the same condition (rough nib). The rework did take care of the issue, but it should never had been required if the initial service was done correctly. Today I went into the shop to purchase ink - Although I was the only person in the boutique, the sales person seemed bothered that I was in the shop and was very short with her answers, not professional - just short. And they did not have the ink. Had i not had previously purchased my Montblanc pen, I would not have purchased the pen at the boutique. read more

Came here to buy my younger sister a birthday gift. I was dressed like a bum; no make up, hoodie messy bun and jeans. Yet I was not judged or treated differently. They seem to treat all their guests with the same respect despite their appearance. ended up getting two pens. My sister pen was the most expensive since it was a lacquered finish. And they donate a certain percentage to UNICEF to help children with not only clean water but education as well. read more

Really recommend this store. Robert and Djuting were especially helpful and knowledgeable and wowed us with superb and attentive customer service, the way it used to be in most fine stores. (not so much anymore though!).. They have genuine smiles, have great enthusiasm for their products and want you to learn as much as possible. They serve you sparkling water if you like , and handle the timepieces with fine jewelers gloves. They gave me a gift when I came to pick up the watch. In fact, there were two extra gifts, one that I think comes as part of protocol, the other I believe was just given as a token of their appreciation. 5 stars for sure!!!!! read more
