I don't write bad reviews, except I feel I need to in this case. My granddaughter got a $40 sweat shirt with a pretty tie dye pattern and school logo from a PTA organized school-wide order. When the hoodie got sewed to the sweatshirt, it was overlapping at the neck, thereby making the neck hole too small. I emailed, called, called the PTA and then the owner finally responded with "all sales are final!". I am still upset about that. He didn't acknowledge that some products are not made correctly and can't be used. That was not a change of heart on the part of the buyer. The sweatshirt was unwearable because it had sewing mistakes. If he would have talked to me or given me a little credence, I would not have been so mad. Things happen. But he refused to, even, talk to me. I am a seamstress. I took off the hoodie and resewed it to the sweatshirt but other people would have to just throw it away. I feel that the owner needs to improve his customer relations skills or hire someone who can deal nicely with the public. store hours make nearly impossible for any working parent to pick up what they need for their child. We have no choice but to go with them because that is where the team places the order. Store owner is rude and takes his customers completely for granted. He assumes he has a monopoly on the market. Burke Sporting Goods supports the troops! I had a last-minute embroidery request for my son's family before he deployed. BSG was caring, flexible and responsive to my request. They embroidered my grandson's name on his Christmas stocking at a reasonable price and with a quick enough turn-around that it was hanging by the fireplace in time for the family's early Christmas celebration! It looked great! They were able to match the font and color of the embroidery on the rest of the stockings. BSG has great customer service. Jennifer at Burke Sporting Goods was incredibly professional and helpful! I worked with her on a spirit wear order for a high school class. She was clear in the pricing, logo design, and types of clothing, and quickly made adjustments when we asked for different color options, etc. The website they set up for our student & parent orders was professional and fairly user-friendly. Jennifer sent regular updates on our numbers (we needed a minimum of 12 of each type of clothing), and then when the ordering was complete she brought us our orders a full week early! I'm happy with everything I ordered - comfortable, true to size, looks good - and I would work with BSG again. The clothing is a little pricey (and especially if you want to add any additional cost to raise money for a fundraiser), but for custom orders it's pretty good. read more

If there was a 10 star option I would rate Burke Sporting Goods 10 stars. Over the years I have made many purchases from this wonderful shop. Each and every time I've ever been in there I've been treated like a member of the family. The most recent excellent customer service experience was today. I bought three Frisbee discs. Their credit card machine was down but the owner instructed the clerk to allow me to take the discs and owe them the money until next time. After practicing with said discs I went to the ATM and went back to pay cash. The owner gave me a substantial discount just for "being patient." Wow!
