When we visit wineries in different parts of the country, don't expect it to be like some other place where the elevation, soil and environment is different. In stead, ask what they can grow? What does well and why. Will was fantastic and quite frankly why I would return. His knowledge and background, helped us gain a better understanding about the grapes and what was being presented. Being from a wine county in California we were certainly looking forward to trying Montana wine. This is a great stop or hang out, they have events every week and stay open pretty late. It was exciting to our daughter to see all of the animals on the wall and see the bear skins. The woman who was the host was super friendly and very informative. We did a couple of wine flights to make sure we tasted a wide spread of their wines, from the Montana wines to the wines from the other states. Wine style was different from what we are used to, but pleasant nonetheless. I was expecting some to be a bit sweeter, but thankfully they were pretty dry. We ended up buying a couple of bottles to bring back with us. I wish we had bought more as their Marquette has really grown on me.

Laura was wonderful and explained all our wine choices in detail. She helped us pick the flavor profiles we enjoy. They also offer appetizers if you like. Dinner service begins at 5:00 and most tables are reserved for dinner guests only. What a great find. It looks small from the outside, but inside the wine selection is impressive. You can even buy bottles to take home at very competitive prices. We are so glad we have this as part of our Montana memories.

We had th guac and chips app, and the veggie pizza without cheese. Both items were very good! We also both did a red wine flight. The wines were pretty decent, but there wasn't one in particular that I loved. Service was friendly and pretty quick. My husband left his glasses here, and we called them the next day and they had them! So we popped back in and picked up his glasses. Great place to pick your own or buy a small basket of organic cherries. They charge $8.00 a pound…read morewhich is really pricy, but when you eat your first cherry, you'll know the why it's worth every penny. My boyfriend and I decided to pick our own to avoid any bruises and "cuts" on the fruit itself and it was such a fun experience! They let you sample the cherries as you pick them. Just grab a bucket and start your adventure! The staff advised that a full bucket is about 5 pounds worth of cherries. Walking through the aisles, there are different types of cherries to pick. 1. Tart cherries -good for smoothies, but it really is tart. My boyfriends calls them cherry bombs because of that tart bite. I only liked it because the seed stuck to the stem. 2. Dark red/purple - extremely sweet! And they are so plump!!! These were so good 3. Ranier - of course this is the biggest reason I wanted to go cherry picking. So delicious and tastes way different than in Utah (where I'm currently living) and the grocery stores. The orchard is hidden, but if you go towards the state park following the signs, you'll see this on your left side. They're also only open from. Wednesday - Saturday from 10am-2pm.
