Great wine in a cute setting. All local wines in the backyard of the lake. Every wine is the taste of perfection.

Amazing flights! Perfect for an afternoon out in Polson. Personally, the sparkling plum was my favorite, but all were delightful.

We were intrigued by a winery that was in Montana so we had to stop! To our surprise we enjoyed…read moreevery wine that we had on our flight. Now I have read some reviews with the pretentious tone of "it's not California wine", well... no dah!! You're in Montana! When we visit wineries in different parts of the country, don't expect it to be like some other place where the elevation, soil and environment is different. In stead, ask what they can grow? What does well and why. Will was fantastic and quite frankly why I would return. His knowledge and background, helped us gain a better understanding about the grapes and what was being presented. Will understands customer service and building relationships. This winery will do very well by being themselves and not conforming to people's uneducated pallet comments. Cheers to White Raven!!

Being from a wine county in California we were certainly looking forward to trying Montana wine. This is a great stop or hang out, they have events every week and stay open pretty late. It was exciting to our daughter to see all of the animals on the wall and see the bear skins. The woman who was the host was super friendly and very informative. We did a couple of wine flights to make sure we tasted a wide spread of their wines, from the Montana wines to the wines from the other states. Wine style was different from what we are used to, but pleasant nonetheless. I was expecting some to be a bit sweeter, but thankfully they were pretty dry. We ended up buying a couple of bottles to bring back with us. I wish we had bought more as their Marquette has really grown on me.

However, it was a Saturday, Father's Day weekend, busy in the village and absolutely dead at the winery. I know why. The lady, she never introduced herself, came over agitated at the interuption of whatever she was doing in her house. The tasting room is very nice but she never asked us to have a seat and relax as that was clearly what she was hoping to avoid. We stood for our 4 wine, 3 minutes tasting. No small talk, no explanation of the wines, nada. I was extremely uncomfortable, it was weird. Against my best desires, the Cab and Merlot were good, The Reisling was good as well. I really can't remember what the fourth white wine was, but, and this just slipped out in the awkward silence of the tasting room, but I actually said "It certainly tastes better than it smells." Well it did! I'm not a wine afficianado but it had a metalic smell. Anyway, we bought 2 bottles of wine, like I said the Cab and the Reisling were good and bolted for the door. $18 for the Cab, and $14 for the Reisling. The whole experience last 5 minutes, about 5 minutes shorter than the drive up the main road to get there. EEEEEEEEk. If you want to try the wine, they sell it in town. But frankly, its good, but not great. And there are much better wines for $18. P.S., they import their grapes from Washington State.
