We stopped here a week ago not knowing anything about the distillery. We were pleasantly surprised by our visit. Cool rustic tasting room. Hugh selection of bourbons, whiskeys, and other spirits. Staff was friendly, helpful, and fun. We each had a tasting flight and then tried to keep our purchases below $200. We almost made it. Have shared some of our finds with friends and everyone enjoys. Not sure I can find in Indiana but will keep looking. If you're in the area and like bourbon and whiskey, it's a must go. read more

We have never been to a distillery. The staff was good at helping us decide what to try. We got two flights and two cocktails--we enjoyed them all. It was nice have pretzels to clean your palette. Montana state law only allows them to serve each person 2 ozs. per day. We sat outside and took our time enjoying our samplings. read more

There is a wide selection of tasting choices, along with cocktails. My personal favorite was the American Single Malt Whiskey. I'd love to go back to try more if given the opportunity. Lots of parking. Amazing and helpful staff. Lots of seating. read more

This was a nice stop during our visit to Glacier. Reasonably priced tastings and a wide variety of spirits to choose from. Glad we visited!

We stopped by Glacier Distilling Company while we were in the area and had a fun (and tasty!) experience. They have a nice little tasting room and outdoor seating as well. You can purchase a tasting flight to decide on what bottle you'd like to bring home. They also have specialty cocktails if you'd like to enjoy a cocktail in house. We opted for the tasting flight and got a variety of their whiskeys to try. We ended up loving their Logan Pass American single malt whiskey and happily purchased a bottle to take back to our airbnb. I'd definitely recommend their bottles, or, if you're looking to have a nice cocktail at the end of a day of Glacier adventuring--they're great for that as well! Get to it! read more

If I never made it into the park, if I only ever stopped just short of it and went to Glacier Distilling instead, I would consider it a triumph of a trip! The service?! Warm, engaging, impeccable. Helpful especially to those of us who were attending for the first time ever! They have SO MANY OPTIONS and it's not at all overwhelming as well as everything be stellar. I didn't try anything I didn't like and I'm rather picky when it comes to spirits. And that Caesar?! My god, it IS something to write home about. Don't get it with the vodka, you need that spicy whiskey in your drink. Have some of the pretzels and watch the distillers at work through the large observation windows--even if they're just cleaning equipment, it's still a show! I got SEVERAL bottles to take home and have decided this is now a mandatory Montana stop when I'm in town! read more

Glacier Distillery is a must-stop!! The best restaurants in Glacier National Park showcase these local spirits making it a must stop for us to seek out & complete our Montana Souvenir shopping. Ambiance is 5/5 - great indoor & outdoor dog-friendly patio. Servers are 5/5 - serving up tasting flights accompanied by pretzels and ice water- very knowledgeable and friendly. By law they can serve 2 tasting flights or 8 samples per person. Spirits are 5/5 - based on quality of the product and the passion for incorporating local produce and flavors. Not a tourist trap! This distillery supplies restaurants and a Montana following. We bought multiple bottles each of the Huckleberry Liqueur, Bear Claw a Huckleberry Cream, BearProof a Huckleberry Whiskey and I also recommend the CherryCello. Cheers! read more

My friend and I saw this place off the highway on our road trip to Glacier National Park and are so glad we made the stop. I'm still in awe of the ~40?! odd spirits (both clear and brown) they craft and of pretty good quality no less. They are also very well priced and I took home a special bottle. Highly recommending checking them out. read more

We stopped by here on our way out of Glacier NP and ordered a flight to share. We were welcomed in as soon as we stepped inside and handed a menu. They have a wide selection of things, mostly made with local ingredients. We got to try several different things in the flight and they were all delicious and unique. They have bottles of everything for you to take home so we bought a bottle of huckleberry liquor since we can't get that where we live. The inside was also decorated very nicely and was very clean. The waitress brought us ice water and some pretzels to have along with our drinks as well. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and want a drink or to buy some local/unique alcohol! read more

Arriving from Grand Teton NP after a nine hour drive, we needed to stretch our legs. What a happy surprise to find a distillery 0.2 miles from our place for the night. Very helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere sitting outside. Even a parade of wild turkeys. Tried several of the beverages. The bourbon was good, not exceptional, but a solid drink. The single malts were comparable to a particular brand from Colorado. Quite good. The agave liquor was excellent. Purchased a bottle to go. Worth stopping by if you are on your way to or from Glacier. read more

What a fun stop right outside of West Glacier! A few tables inside, but a bigger outdoor patio outside to enjoy the beautiful weather! We tried both a tasting flight and a cocktail! The server was very knowledgeable and gave us suggestions/recommendations for our specific preferences! They do limit you two ounces of liquor per stop, so just be aware of that! Would love to go back to try another cocktail! read more

This is a cute place. See my pics!! They do not offer food. The inside reminds me of a speakeasy from the 20's. They have a full bar where you can order flights. Mixed cocktails, or straight up. Service was extremely friendly and casual. We had two kids with us, my grandsons, and they were made to feel welcome. I'm from Minnesota so I was surprised that Montana limits the guests to 2 oz per guest per day Come on Montana...Give your distillery owners a chance here to make it and run a business. Just because the speakeasy fondly reminds us of days gone by a 2oz limit needs to go and bring Montana into the correct decade!! read more

My uncle and I stopped by Glacier Distilling Company near closing time, and they were incredibly welcoming. We each tried a whiskey flight, and although it was late, they let us know we could stay a bit longer if we wanted (though we didn't end up needing to). The staff was laid-back, friendly, and really knowledgeable about their spirits. The ambience is really cool in this place. Great decor and huge windows into the distilling process. The selection here is impressive--they have a huge variety of spirits and brown juice, so there's something for everyone. My uncle loved the cask-strength bourbon so much that he bought a bottle to take home, and it was definitely worth it. I didn't love every whiskey I tried, that was more about my personal taste. I tend to stick with the classics like bourbon and rye, which they had plenty of, and the quality was solid. Some of their more experimental offerings weren't quite my style, but it's clear they put a lot of care into creating unique flavors. If you're up for trying something different, I think you'll find it worth the visit. Overall, a great spot for whiskey lovers and adventurous tasters alike! read more

One of my favorite spots while in Montana! We were staying within walking distance so we made our way over after a day of driving. We sat outside on the porch which was lovely. They have flights of the spirits and drinks. Each of us got one of each (there is a 2oz limit because of Montana law). It was great to be able to try the spirits before ordering a drink. I got all whiskey/bourbon ones and they were all good. I ended up getting a few airplane bottles to go. For my bigger drink I got an old fashioned and it was delish. My friends' drinks were good too. There's no food here and last call is pretty early. They have a great little shop inside. Servers were friendly and really helpful when choosing our flights. Definitely stop here if you're staying on the west side of glacier! read more

What a blast! Stopped in with a party of four, we each had a flight of samples which helped us decide what bottles we would like to bring home with us. We loved coming here! We stumbled upon this while driving back from Glacier and we had a great time. My wife got a cocktail and I got a few flights so that we could try a variety of their spirits. We really liked the huckleberry whiskey as well as the huckleberry liqueur and flathead cherry liqueur and we snagged a few bottles to bring home. We really liked that they had multiple sizes of the spirits too so we were able to buy a few different ones rather than just one big one (things to think about when you're flying home!). Our service was great and this is a great place to visit! read more

This distillery is a run out of a cute red barn with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat at the outdoor bar stools. They had fans going which was welcomed on the 90 degree day we visited. The servers were all welcoming and ready to answer all your questions. You can order flight of 4 samples off a menu with over 30 selections of whiskey, Montana specialties, vodka, gin, rum, agave, brandy and liquor. They provide you pretzels and water to snack on while sampling. Inside you can see the large distilling room through a glass window, which if you sit inside is your view while tasting. A flight was $6, and they allow 1 flight per person. The small restaurant next door starts servicing cocktails at 5 using their liquor. They also have a small menu of food as well which the staff raves about, but we didn't personally try. read more

It you like sampling local flavors and appreciate quality spirits, you'll feel like you hit the jackpot by stopping at Glacier Distilling! It's located in a barn style building and the tasting room has a very welcoming vibe. During our stop by the tasting room, the staff was very friendly and served my wife and served us pretzels and ice water upon sitting down. They offer a tasting flight, which is a great way to try a variety of spirits and/or liqueurs. After assessing the (slightly) overwhelming list of choices, we each selection and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Regardless of what you're in the mood for, I highly recommend you try the Huckleberry Liqueur. It's well-balanced, filled with flavor and not overly sweet. We appreciated it so much that we purchased a bottle to take home! PRO TIP: The Tasting Room only serves spirits and liqueurs, so if you're looking for food or mixed drinks, simply walk up the hill to Josephine's, the restaurant that's located on the property. read more

I found out about the tastings here from my visit to Josephine's Speakeasy next door. You can actually park at the lot of Josephine's and just walk down the walkway to Glacier Distilling Company. They only allow 2 flights total so make sure you order exactly what you want. Each flight is 4 tastings of 0.25oz pours. I only ordered one flight ($5) and got the mount brown single malt whiskey, two med whiskey, trapline rock & rye whiskey, and huckleberry gin. For the mount brown single malt, it has the slight smokiness that I'd expect from a scotch and is really good. For the two med, it's a very unique whiskey that I've never had before. The description says it's hoppy and I can taste it. It's a taste that I associate more to beers but it works for this whiskey. For the trapline rock & rye, it's slightly spicy but on the sweeter side. It's very smooth and easy to go down and can really be sipped on its own neat or on the rocks. For the huckleberry gin, it's sweeter and is a lighter proof gin but the added flavor of the huckleberry is nice. The botanicals come out of the spirit. Out of the four that I tried my favorite was definitely the trapline rock & rye followed by the mount brown single malt. They give free pretzels to snack on while you sip on the tastings too. read more

This place was kind of weird. It was May 1st and not many people were there. When we came in the staff was SO nice in explaining that they only do tastings, and they don't serve food (they serve hard pretzels in a cup that comes with the tasting). Which was confusing because on their website there's a section tabbed EAT with food. And we really wanted to sit and eat and taste. But the staff informed me that you eat at a place called "Josephine's" which didn't open until Mother's Day. I don't know, kinda weird set up. The pours are small (thank god) because everything is kinda strong. We didn't stay long because they started getting really busy and I think our server was in the weeds because we never heard from her again. We tried their honey bourbon which was DELICIOUS and we purchased two airplane bottles of it. I think we would have had a better time if we could have eaten. So in conclusion: DONT VISIT BEFORE MOTHERS DAY. read more

Whether you're in the mood for a sweet vibe sticking to the 'cellos and the liquors, or you're more a booze hound and want your single malts, whiskey traps or moonshines, this spot has a libation for you. Bear in mind that this place ONLY does tasting flights, so if you're trying to come for a cocktail, about face, and find yourself another place. The staff is friendly and kept it chill. Great little distillery. Plenty of tasty offerings. Cocktail suggestions are on point. 5 out of 5 suggestions were delicious. (We visited 3x over a week). The staff was fantastic. Take the tour, the history just adds to the ambiance. 2 issues that should be addressed as they continue to grow. Quality control in the alcohol itself as the flavors of each bottle vary slightly and there were issues with some of the screw on caps. read more

Manager or hostess (male) is a pompous, entitled out of towner. Disenchanted, unengaged, waste of breathe, that obviously doesn't want to be there working. I ve visited this establishment about 5x over the past few years (I m local) and this most recent visit totally turned me off from visiting in the future.
