lCame in for a late lunch/early supper at 2:30 p.m today. Ordered a Pepsi and their Buttermilk Fried Chicken fork and knife dish. The food came just slightly warm and not together with the other meals that the other diners that joined me. IThe chicken was well seasoned and the cornbread was perfect and fluffy. i had to add some extra salt and black pepper to the mashed potatoes and vegetables though. i felt like i was not even there and the outcast of the group because everyone was well into their meal and i still hadn't gotten my entree yet. The server was friendly to the others but not me and she didn't even apologized that my food took another 10 minutes to arrive. Oh, did i say i was also the last to order my meal and was almost all forgotten about. Wow, what an amazing 1st impression and 1st time visit experience. . . Definitely felt like you were at a steakhouse in either Alberta, Montana or even Nebraska or Wyoming minus the bull ride. The music was not very loud but it wasn't very quiet either. It was pretty much Country music the entire almost 90 mins we were there. It wasn't very busy but maybe because of what time it was too. Overall, the food was pretty good, the service i received was pretty bad but not for the other people i was with and the ambiance or atmosphere of the restaurant was overall pretty good. Personally, i don't think i will go back. Thank God, i was not paying for this meal and/or dining alone or else i wouldn't have left a tip and grade this visit as 1 star review. read more

Not much to say other than great service and good food! Montana's never disappoints with their ribs. For some reason, every time I visit, there is always someone celebrating their birthday and the staff do a great job of making the birthday person feel very special with the horns! There are plenty of TVs to watch all sports and you can always ask them to change the channel if there's a particular game you want to watch. read more

Took me long enough to find a min to finally do this but the staff and my girls at this location will understand and know how full my hands are and my life is today I'll start with saying I've been going to this place since it's been there with few times owners changing over the yrs. But ever since the last ones and present today took over we fell in love with the place owners family and the Place became even better more special to My family specially my 4 boys growing up there celebrating b day dinners or just a dinner date After Covid hit we had a little brake . But going back there again after few yrs felt awesome and seeing the same owners and some off the same stuff again just makes it feel like our favourite place to be at And specially more special for the way they always welcome us with a hug and a huge smile on their face and always go over beyond for us to provide us with the best service no other place ever dose like they do. Two weeks ago it was one of my boys Confirmation Day and by his choice he asked to have his celebration with our whole family At his favourite Montana's place. And so we did . And let me tell you the girls (Tara and Shkueta ) and the kitchen stuff went absolutely over beyond even more then I expected and ask for and made this the best venue we ever had . So disappointed. Ate at Montana's Burlington location yesterday evening. Lovely staff. Awful food. We both had steak special. Left half each of our steaks. Poor quality meat. Fries were basic cheap take out. My baked potato not a nice potato to begin with. Asked for it loaded. $2 added on bill. Such a minimal little row of whatever, not real bacon, scrimped on cheese!!! Butter in containers, hard to use Complained loaded was a joke. Joke on me. Still had to pay for it. Cold slaw best part of our meals. Still tipped 20% plus Kitchen is poor fast food .... Cara foods chain here. Decent place that always makes me feel like I'm inside a lodge because of the entire cabin feel. This place is not so busy in a mall that has a Home Depot. Today I had ordered the Chipotle Firecracker burger which is "topped with bacon, crispy Cajun onions, melted cheese, crispy jalepenos and Chipotle Honey BBQ sauce. This burger is good and the sauce is sweet but it's not spicy even with the jalepeno peppers. The burger is good though but it's not amazing. The veggies which were on it didn't look particularly as fresh as they could be but I left them on anyway. This lunch is decent, but not great. The burger isn't as juicy as they claim it to be but it's not dry because of the sauce. To me this meal is a 3 almost 3.5 but not a 4. The service is good and they serve very quickly. I wonder if they get their burgers from the same place that supplies Harvey's Canadian or Angus or whatever they are called these days. The patty sort of look like one of those. Any place that serves sweet potatoe fries earns points in my book! I went to this Montana's for lunch today and had the Mediterranean veggie burger (which comes with goat cheese and roasted red peppers), with guacamole added. You get a choice bun: white, wheat, or ciabatta, and also a choice of potatoes: baked, mashed, regular fries, or sweet potato fries. I'm sure you can guess which I chose... sweet potato fries! They were crinkle cut, which is unusal for sweet potato fries, but still delicious. My lunch partner for today had the Greek Salad with chicken. It was a good size and looked very delicious. It also came with a piece of corn bread. The service started off good, but we seemed to be forgotten after the food arrived, which became annoying when waiting for the check. The restaurant was mostly empty since we came for a late lunch, so this was mildly annoying. The veggie burger patty itself was one of the largest I've seen at a restaurant. I was impressed with the number of vegetarian selections. While not overwhelming, there were definitely a greater number of choice than the average comparable US chain-restaurant. read more

I wanted to have steak for dinner. My wife was out for dinner and I needed to be home for friends visiting that evening. So I thought I would order a 7 oz strip loin with onions and mushrooms and corn as a side for pickup. The steak was cooked perfectly as I had ordered it. However the sides were inadequate as a complete dinner. I had no way of knowing this as this was my first time ordering pick up. In hind sight I should has ordered a baked potato as my second side. The same kind of place we have in the states, only they are ersatz "Texas" style. Very butch, lotsa meat and BBQ. Beer-centric. As I would expect, the Canadian version is a bit more genteel, and not so shit-kickin'. I think this style of Resto is an American invention, and they set the bar, which, typical for an American Resto, is Low. Nothing going on here when it comes to cuisine. It's a place to eat, innocuous. It didn't suck, but it wasn't memorable, either. Down the street from the blase Irish Pub whose review you can see elsewhere in my list (it's the one where I said the best thing I cay about the place is the waitress had great tits.). I can't remember if the waitress here was packing or not, but the one thing I remember about this place-it was close to the highway I needed to get on. Gravy portion for chicken was excellent, Chicken was slightly overdone and on the darker side. Carrots were underdone. This was our first visit to this location and we were really impressed. The staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Our waitress, Krista really knew her stuff and made our visit exceptional. We both had ribs. Mine were a dry cajun rub and my husband had honey garlic. They were both delicious without being overpowering. The sides were all good and the corn muffins were melt in your mouth detectible. So good, in fact, we ordered half a dozen to take home with us. When I was 8, I came here with my family for dinner and I ordered chicken fingers and fries. They brought me the wrong meal three times. The rest of my family got their food and they got to eat. Montana's in Burlington is a great family restaurant. Fun atmosphere, great food, affordable prices and, in the words of my 8 year old son "awesome!" We had just left a neighboring funeral home and wanted some light fare and a drink. Ordered a couple of appetizers ... both very good ... and drinks, one of which was supposed to be a Dirty Vodka Martini. You know it isn't going to work out when the Server fails to note it's vodka, not gin. Correcting this gliche and having faith, after 10 minutes we were told there was no olive juice to put into the drink. OK, a plain old Vodka Martini will do, not thinking "If no olive juice, does the bar have olives?" Again, running on faith we waited and waited and waited. Finally out came the drink ... we were all but finished eating ... and ... not good. No olive, at least 50% vermouth, and ice shavings floating in the drink. Had dinner there tonight, our steak was over cooked a bit. We hate sending food back, we find it very embarrassing! But the staff was really friendly and understanding, especially our server Peter. They took every step to make us feel comfortable, they made our meal again to perfection and gave us extras to snack on while we waited. Great service. Had the special with my wife where we chose four meats and three sides for $40. We chose ribs, they were excellent and very tender and fell off the bone. We chose brisket, fantastic juicy tender and delicious. We had kapow shrimp, these were not as spicy as I would have expected. The wife does not like jalapeno but liked these and we had chorizo sausage it was good. We had a great experience and the service was friendly and delicous. read more

We live in the vicinity of this Montana's & used frequent it often. Under the previous ownership / management it was a very good restaurant but the current owners are ruining it. The portions have definitely gotten smaller & the quslity downhill. We went there for dinner the other night to give it another try & it was terrible. My husband & I each ordered the 8oz steak dinner and our son the kids pizza. Our meals were a complete disappointment, our loaded baked potatoes were tiny & lacking substance, steak was small & lacking flavour, .... my son's pizza was burnt - I had to send it back. And then it took 20 min. For the replacement to come out. For a $70 bill, the experience was horrible. They've also added large screen TVs all over the dining room area. They've always had TVs in the bar area but none in the dining area, something we always liked. But now that they've filled the dining area with TVs as well, it's an obnoxious distraction for us. And they will not turn off the TV that's above your head when we asked. They told us they are unable to. It's such a shame as we used to really enjoy going to this location. read more
