I have been to a few improv shows here in the past…read more The seating is very basic, provides an intimate feel with the Improv troupe. Narrator takes themes and prompts from the crowd. It challenges you and helps you think quick on your feet. Must be able to handle extemporaneous changes in themes too. I also have a friend that participated in the Improv school / program and found it useful. Helped my friend come out of his shell more, not so much funnier in his delivery. You either have it or you don't. I found it amusing and very clear cut who among the troupe excelled at improv. Only a few tend to stand out each show. Kudos to all for their effort nonetheless, it's not easy to do in front of bunch of strangers.

I would 10/10 recommend this place! My husband and I came on a Sunday night show, and laughed all…read morenight. Ambiance is intimate, I got seats right be the stage not realizing how small of a venue it is, and felt almost part of the show haha. Everyone was great, and felt like a supportive environment. We made multiple song requests and sang our hearts out with the live piano in the background. The drinks were also good; we had a few before getting on stage (as you can also see in the video). My bro in law and sis in law brought us here for some fun. It's a lounge/club. We went on a Friday…read morenight and they were playing old school black music. The club was packed by the time we left. They have security checking ID's at the door. There was a $20 cover charge. When you first walk in it's the lounge area. People are chilling on couches. They're drinking and eating food. I'm not sure what's on the menu, I didn't get any food. You walk outside to the patio area and that's where the dance floor is. There's also a small bar. They have a live DJ spinning the music. We danced and had a good time. Thanks to the in laws for taking us out.

This was my first time seeing a show here, and it definitely won't be the last…read more They mostly--if not exclusively--host punk and metal bands, which sets the tone right away. Parking is free and easy on the street, and both the staff and the patrons were genuinely friendly. I also appreciated the metal detector at the entrance for an added sense of security. The drink selection is great, with plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Prices are very reasonable and service is quick. Rob behind the bar was especially kind. The acoustics are impressive for a smaller venue. There are plenty of spots to stand and adjust the volume to your comfort level. I don't typically wear earplugs, but given the size of the space and the quality of the sound, it's worth considering. Everything is GA, so you can get as close--or as far--as you'd like. Bathrooms are clean and conveniently located near the front door. Ticket prices are very fair. I wasn't able to find a way to skip the service fee with buying at the venue box office, so I ended up purchasing through their online system. Even with the fee, it's still cheaper than most concerts you'll see.

Really mixed feelings about Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle tonight…read more I bought front row tickets we arrived early and after about 35 minutes still hadn't been served food or drinks. The floor service was extremely slow and unorganized, so I finally went to the main bar myself to get drinks and snacks for our party of four. Huge credit to the guys working the main bar. They were awesome -- attentive, helpful, and completely changed the experience for me. I'm not sure if they were bartenders, managers, or both, but they deserve recognition. The host and opening comedians, however, were painfully bad. The 7:45 show wasn't very crowded, and the openers honestly made the show feel unnecessarily long. I would rather see a shorter show with one solid opener and the headliner than sit through several acts that just aren't ready for that stage. BUT -- the headliner (Greg Hahn) was AMAZING. Absolutely hilarious from beginning to end and completely worth coming for. He saved the show and reminded me why this place can be such a great comedy venue. So I'm genuinely torn. Amazing headliner and fantastic main bar staff, but terrible floor service and very weak opening acts. Tighten up the operation and the talent leading into the headliner and this would have been a completely different experience.
