These were nice: the consomme was flavorful and not too salty, the tacos had a good amount of meat, and I appreciated that there was only one layer of tortilla as I feel like usually they're double-wrapped. We also got the chicharron preparado with steak. I thought it would be difficult to eat but it ended up being easy enough. This was fine, a little on the heavy side with the mayo, but a good dish to share. The price point for everything was reasonable, especially for the amount of food with the chicharron. And the complimentary chips to start were complimented nicely by the hot sauces they provided.

The General Tso's Burrito was an interesting snack, stuffed with fried chicken, rice, veggies and a long squirt of dark amber sweet chili sauce. Not a bad marriage of Mexico and Chinese America, but too sweet and inauthentic. The Chips and Mexican Street Corn Salsa were likewise crisp and creamy, respectively. The corn in its traditional form with less cream and more bite would have been better. The store is in a highway mall out building decorated more like a surf shop, than taco stand. The smoothies were huge, though, so the portions were definitely worth mentioning. Unfortunately, the tacos were a bit difficult to eat because the tortillas tore apart easily, so I ended up having to use a fork instead of being able to pick them up. Flavor-wise, I also felt they needed more seasoning. The spicy pork taco was my favorite and had the most flavor, but the beef and chicken were pretty bland, even after adding the hot sauces. Overall, I liked the generous portions, but I think the tacos could use better seasoning and sturdier tortillas.

The manager then came over and shared that this was an ongoing issue and suggested that it was the city and that they have bleach sometimes come thru or their water is dark and that there isn't anything they can do.
