Used to have someone in the office come here all the time to assist us with embroidery, so I fortunately never had the opportunity to deal with Elisa, the owner. This was the first time I interacted with her, and will certainly be the last. At first, she seemed flustered. We went over *exactly* how we wanted to the monogram to look; size, color, location. When the day came for pick up, I was astonished as to how wrong the product came out. The font was triple the size we agreed on and we described, and the location was in the middle of the product (versus along the edge, which was what was explicitly requested). A few back and forths, she admitted to incorrectly monogramming the product and gave a discount of $16 for the monogram, but refused to acknowledge that the product was ruined or damaged. Her exact words "damaged means the product does not work, it works, the zipper works." I explained that the product was handmade, that another comparable product can be obtained in an expedited fashion so that it can be ready for Christmas, and discussed that we would only feel right for her to reimburse us for the product that was ruined. She vehemently opposed any amicable solution and lost a customer for life. B aware of shady businesses that cannot take ownership for their mistakes and errors. read more

The font selection is limited, but there are a decent number of thread colors. We were very excited to get a director's chair monogrammed here for my boss as they had great reviews and we felt they would do a good job despite the large price-tag. They reassured us that they had monogrammed director's chair backs before and that they knew exactly what to do. Elisa asked for two chair back panels because the monogramming would go through and then we wouldn't be able to make it double-sided. The two panels came back and though the spacing on the monogramming was not what we discussed (even though I sent pictures showing exactly how we wanted it), the bigger problem was that she did not combine the two panels into one. I called her and asked her to put them together, and at first she tried to tell me that both panels could fit onto one chair. This comment made it clear to me that she had never actually monogrammed a director's chair before or she would have known that two panels cannot fit over one peg. I was briefly comforted when she told me she knew someone who would sew them together. When I asked if they would fix it for free she spat back, "no one works for free." This is true, but I also don't pay for rubbish. She unapologetically lectured me as though I were the one who made her mistake. I did not appreciate her condescending and rude tone and my boss is not pleased he paid so much for something that was done incorrectly. It's too bad for them since I know a lot of people in production, and it they had done a good job I would have recommended a ton of business to them. No wonder some companies have their own monogramming machines- they don't want to deal with snotty people who did horrible work. read more

Our son ordered monogrammed Bed Head pajamas for his mother and me for Christmas. The sales woman convinced him to send sizes that were not right for us, and the pajamas arrived more than two weeks after Christmas, via US Postal Service, though she said they had been sent UPS. The "men's pajamas" buttoned like women's and were too small, nor did my wife's pajama bottoms fit. The store absolved themselves of all responsibility for the shipping that took three weeks, and now claim the pajamas are "uni-sex". I don't usually write reviews for stores but I'm not sure how else to show my appreciation for the extra mile that Elisa went for me. I decided to purchase monogrammed gifts as tokens of appreciation for volunteers who had organized a charity dinner for my organization. I had never been to the store before--only walked by for years--and decided to try it out. Elisa was very patient with me and was open with her opinion, which I appreciated, as I was having trouble making a decision. I was having a lunchtime event on a Friday and needed to publicly present the gifts there, so I placed my order on Tuesday. She said it wasn't a huge amount of time but that she could do it. Fast forward to Friday morning at 9:45. I am in the shower getting ready for my event and it occurs to be that I have completely forgotten to order for one of the volunteers. I am sick to my stomach and panicked--how was I going to thank 3 people in my speech and only have gifts for 2, especially when I knew they would be wrapped in cellophane and everyone would see what they got? I called Elissa and hoped for the best. For a nominal rush charge of $15, she agreed to have one ready for me to pick up by 11:10, so I could rush from there to the lunch. She even offered to take my credit card over the phone so that we could save time, and she went over the initials again and again just so that there wouldn't be any mistakes. The gifts turned out beautifully and I got to save face. To top it all off, I ran into her on the street later that evening and, in her formal manner, said "Hello Mrs. B_____, how was your event today?" I couldn't believe that she remembered my name. Don't get my four stars wrong, Elisa does beautiful work. That's why I keep going back. It really is noticeably superior to the embroidery done anywhere else. I've had multiple coats for work embroidered here and it is consistently well done. Elisa is also very flexible with me and my crazy work hours and will sometimes even agree to stay past closing time so I can run in to pick up my items. It is just SO expensive. SO SO SO expensive. But if quality is really important to you and/or you're just a little anal-retentive about how your monogramed items look, I would go here for sure. read more

Also I don't think this place is as expensive as others say- I had a fabric tag monogrammed with a name for $28 next day rush. The first time they did it they did they did the wrong font. It is actually Elisa's assitant who operates the embroidery machine so it is good to print out what you need to have done in the exact font. I wanted to have a white hooded sweater monogrammed for my sister's wedding, for her to wear as she got ready. I found out most embroidery shops have a 3-4 day turnaround, but I needed it same day. I called Monogrammit and spoke to the owner. After I explained my need to rush, she was very accommodating. I dropped off the sweater when the shop opened and was able to pick it up a little after close because I was running late in traffic.
