The guys are super friendly and they are always around and wanting to chat about comics, movies, and toys. If there is anything that isn't in the store that you know exists and you want, they will go to great length to get it for you! However, that doesn't mean that the store doesn't have a great selection! The bin is full of a mix of new and old comics, all reasonably priced. They have a good selection of action figures and statues too! They have a dollar bin of comics that are all in good shape and a good amount of graphic novels that are marked down to $5 or $10. In their bundle section there is also always a deal going on that is buy one get one half off! I would definitely recommend coming in and taking a look around! This place is honesty amazing and I think it's one of the best comic book stores in the area! The guys are friendly and the prices are great! I'm so glad I stopped by 3 years ago. :)

Good selection of longboxes, some new pull books, along with a fair selection of dollar books on shelves. Pop selection was small but they had a nice amount of exclusives. Various toys and collectables including figures were spread around the shop. The owner was very helpful in searching for items and pleasant to chat with. Overall, this is one of the better small comic shops I've visited, and fully recommend it.

The owner--the lovely Mama Bear herself!--puts time and care into curating an incredible selection of goods. She also has a successful online retail business, and she really knows toys and toy trends. From dolls, collectibles, and action figures to Hot Wheels, Ghostbusters, and Pokémon, I always find something when I come in here. Either for myself, a friend, or my kids. There is also the wonderful experience of simply shopping for toys. Not scrolling through an algorithm, or stumbling into the toy section at a big box store on my way to buy milk. No--Mama Bear Toys & Games takes me back to my childhood, when my parents would take me to an actual toy store. When I'd just look for what was on the shelves and light up when I found my perfect match. I'm glad that I can now share this experience with my own kids. Prices here are competitive with major big box stores and online retailers. And frankly, I'm fine paying $5 extra to shop at a local business. The store is tucked toward the back of the shopping center near the hardware store, and there is plenty of parking. I will definitely be back.

We discovered Monkey Fish Toys (local locations in West Chester and Chester Springs) when a friend…read moregifted us a nice toy with gift receipt. We already had a very similar toy and it was a little young for my son's development so we were very grateful for the gift receipt to exchange. They have a large selection of Legos, and the science and STEM/STEAM type kits were prolific as well. It's nice to see most everything is vetted to make a kid think as they play, and there weren't mindless commercial gimmick toys or vapid crap promoting some character/tv/movie franchise. Toys were attractively arranged, neatly on display, easy to see, and price tags were clear and present. Some toys were fairly priced, like stuffed animals and Legos (curated sets, not basic ones), but we found the STEM/STEAM and science-y stuff to be a bit overpriced. The kit we exchanged for was 20% cheaper on Amazon. Another board game was 3x the price of the identical thing at Ollie's. I always try to support local businesses, but I don't have the kind of disposable income where I can afford to pay much over competitor prices. For what my son wanted, we felt a little frustrated driving a half hour from home (each way) and paying $6 more than having Amazon shipped to our door. Yes, it was a gift credit, so we didn't "pay" ourselves, but to have gotten a comparable price plus a small $6 extra little toy would have been nice. I think this is a great store to find items unavailable elsewhere (like some of the collectible LEGO sets, and stuffed animals), or for people unfamiliar with current kids' toys (grandparents, etc.) to get good recommendations and solid choices. Paying a premium is worth it to them. They did mention a rewards program, so locals will benefit from that taking the edge off of the competitor margins. We don't live close enough to take advantage of that.
